Morning all.

Lots of painkillers Maxy and a good walk always makes mine better (wills mine not to start back too soon, nice to have a rest from them!)

FMTD it is a huge change but sounds fab, family nearby, makes all the difference. Both my sister and I have moved away for work and moved back to be near family.

My BIL comes from Warrington so big change for him away from any family and having his PIL live in the same road . Mum wanted me to buy a house in same road too but was a bit too close for me so I'm a mile away.

maxybrown · 11/02/2010 08:54

yes carrie need to walk! It was a big shock when the periods returned after feeding DS!!!

I am making my chicken soup today and need carrots so we will away somewhere in a little while.

Cold today here, brrrrr.

Waiting in for courier for pliko today anyway though bet it comes for the 10 mins I whip dd to playgroup in the car insted of walk!

Morning all!

DS1 is much better and wanted to go to nursery this morning.
I put the P&T on ebay and it sold in about 2 hours! I got £230 + post which I didn't think was bad at all. I have a new basket for it, which is on its way - hopefully.

Right where is the best place to get a BJCM? I wouldn't mind a second hand one really as I need as many pennies for dh's birthday present. Anyone selling one?

maxybrown · 11/02/2010 11:24

They have the red/cream one at shop near me for £149!!

Cold here but we have missed the snow!
Think I might have to buy two blankets I don't need to cheer myself up. Or something anyway.

nicolamumof3 · 11/02/2010 15:05

Afternoon all! more shopping here today it is soooo cold must be coldest we've had it yet this winter wind is bitter.

dh and i bought valentines meal deal in m&s thats us done!!

maxybrown · 11/02/2010 15:12

It is freezing! We only walked to somerfield 5 mins away and were frozen when we got back.

My parents are staying this weekend so it will be a valentines parents weekend it isn't something that i've ever been fussed about tbh, but DH is cooking so that's enough for me! plus parents here to entertain James, bliss!

OP posts:
maxybrown · 11/02/2010 15:28

DH would pass out if I bought food from M&S.......and not in a good way

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 11/02/2010 16:24

really? i used to loads when i lived in same town as marks but i suppose i do now once or twice a month now. i always do when its special offers no more than any other supermarket.

maxybrown · 11/02/2010 16:34

DH is a skinflint though lol!!!

We only buy dry goods and very special offers from supermarkets come to think about it. then few freezer bits. We have an excellent Butchers here and miles cheaper than supermarket.

When i'm working again, I will insist on splashing out more on food! But we have very very basic food life atm..........thing is DH would be happy with ham sandwiches every night BORING!!! Drives me mad.

Odd though, when he cooks he always makes fabulous things!

Anyway, tonight is my homemade chicken soup night

maxybrown · 11/02/2010 16:37

I am having a hard time gettig through to him how much food has gone up by too. his parents are always going on about this bargain and that bargain, but they go shopping daily and have nothing else in the world to think about!! Some habits are hard to break eh?!

DH got parents evening again tonight so at leats soup will be done.....actually it will be more of a big stew i think
