The washing machine is in!
My goodness the guy was a doom merchant."Oooooh the lead won't fit that far"
"We'll never get it in that space"
"Don't think I'll be able to do this"
Then his mate turns up with the machine and within 5 mins it was all done.
I have it on now even though you are meant to run it empty for the first wash.
Soooo quiet
Nicola I am hoping that we are moving to Edinburgh. I have wanted to really since this all began. I had some doubts about hauling the whole family away to somewhere completely different but knew it would be good too. My mum and brother live there. My sister lives in Glasgow and my two old pals from school live in Edinburgh so I would have a great support and social network.
DP appeared to have decided for Edinburgh too a few days ago and I told everyone but he has been wavering since then and looking at full time jobs in London.
He has a battle on his hands

nicolamumof3 · 10/02/2010 19:06

those blankets will be fab for pushchair bigger than what im using now and bigger than snunkie i have on order i think?

I think i've had that seller at least a dozen sales this afternoon! maybe i should let him know hahaha!!!

i knew you'd love the stripes maxy! i've meant to order that blanket for years and never got around to it!!

yeah we are very easy pleased mummy's aren't we! our dh's don't know how lucky we are!!

pebbles79 · 10/02/2010 19:52

I was very tempted to order one of those blankets just for the sake of it, lol. I don't really use blankets though so would be better saving my money

BexieID · 10/02/2010 20:02

Think I might order a blanket for my cousin due end of month, maybe one for myself.

Right, I deffo want a black XT or coffee/pink XLR. Keep a look out for me!

nicolamumof3 · 10/02/2010 20:03

v.good pebbles! im loving blankets atm as luka won't use footmuffs. mine like blankets on their beds or to sit under on sofa etc (probably our freezing house) so we always have them about!

ooooh my steak dinner almost ready..yum!

pebbles79 · 10/02/2010 20:06

I quite like blankets too, but if it's not an old, worn and scabby cellular one then Zoey's not interested, lol!

pebbles79 · 10/02/2010 20:17

How much are you looking to pay Bexie - you could get a brand new XT for £150.

BexieID · 10/02/2010 20:23

Deffo no more than £100 as it's to have at mums and will be used no more than 6 weeks a year. This looks ok for the price and looks like it has plastic handles. Hated the foam ones on Chicco winter stroller MIL had.

Divatheshopaholic · 10/02/2010 20:23

ok, i think im going to get two for the kids. we use blankets in car when travel etc..

BexieID · 10/02/2010 20:25

Or I could stop being precious and use the sticky handled grey XT I got off Qwerty for £15! The hood is a bit wonky too, lol. I just know it will annoy me.

Divatheshopaholic · 10/02/2010 20:31

Nicola, when i first clicked on link this afternoon 43were sold now its 58 sold, so he had some serious sales today.
bexie, can you not change foam handles on Mac? Know nothng about mac.

nicolamumof3 · 10/02/2010 20:33

carrielou2007 · 10/02/2010 20:49

I love blankets especially knitted ones. I always had one for dd on the cam even with the footmuff on I'd leave it in the bottom then snuggle her up when she fell asleep.

I have already bought several blue ones for ds as he has his sister's pink ones and sheets in the moses basket and for his cot . Bought a really lovely fluffy one from Primark for 3 quid to use on the car seat which is really lovely!!

Bexie you should be able to get XT or XLR for that price, easily the grey?? Or I have a lovely BNIB green apples quest !! Us fellow pram addicts wouldn't like sticky handles

Great news on washing machine FMTD.

Divatheshopaholic · 10/02/2010 20:55

i meant that s just the bright blanket, everyone bought two, im sure he sold about 20 blankets today or more to just pramaholics.

FlyMeToDunoon · 10/02/2010 22:21

It's nice to read all of your positive comments about moving to Edinburgh. DP is having a wobble and I am getting a bit stressed as I will [of course] be arranging everything.
I like a blanket too maybe I should buy two for DDs2 and 3.

maxybrown · 11/02/2010 08:25

Morning all! I have period pains from hell so keeping occupied! Just thought I'd share that with you all

Dunoon, it is a huge move, but how exciting.....also you are never stuck somewhere permenantly if you don't want to be!! What a fabulous new start for you all. Yes get blankets to celebrate, those girls are gonna need them
