Back for lovely roast lamb lunch, dd playing with her cousins for the rest of the afternon whilst ds snoozed on his auntie's shoulder.

Basl and sal you have mail (I think!!!)

Yay Maxy if you have the spitfire, how's the caravan, I'm very much better than a camper!

Comfy · 28/02/2010 17:38

I have been researching rear facing pushchairs for the other bil/sil who are expecting in July and discovered that Jane are bringing out a reversible Slalom Pro three wheeler. They also have the Solo R pushchair which looks lovely and is quite light for a reversible.
here

maxybrown · 28/02/2010 17:44

ooh no I miss our camper terribly but the caravan is lovely, and will give us more room. Also my parents can come on long weekends with us occasionally and we can all be in the van. We had the heater on in it just now, was lovely and toasty!!

had lovely afternoon for my mum's 60th champagne cream tea lovely!! but fallen out with my brother over this bloody greek wedding. he's so selfish but just cannot see it.

sal1309 · 28/02/2010 20:12

nicola glad you had a nice time. sorry to hear you have fell out with your brother.

carrie havent received any pics.

carrielou2007 · 28/02/2010 20:26

Sal had spelt email addy wrong, just tried it again have you had one basl (I am rubbish at his aren't I??!!)

Nicola from what you've said I find it hard to give your brother any support over the wedding, hope it did not spoil your afternoon too much

nicolamumof3 · 28/02/2010 20:31

im really cross with him he had a right go at me at our (real) dads house this afternoon when went to collect boys really really mad with him. he turned round in front of everyone and said 'well i hope i only get married once' ooooh i could've slapped him

carrielou2007 · 28/02/2010 20:39

Hope you said 'I'll get married as many times as I want as long as I am happy thanks' or some such equally sarcastic reply!!

nicolamumof3 · 28/02/2010 20:46

i was too shocked tbh but did nearly give him a slap. i feel like calling him whilst he's still here (in uk) give him piece of my mind he's so clueless...comments like

"Well tom could stay with his dad for a week.." (so we could come to wedding without him so no disrpution to school. oh tom would love that wouldn't he duhhh!

or

"its only a few hours you'd have to wait in airport for connecting flight (between athens and town he's getting married in" my reply was and how many times have you travelled with children james?

clueless.totally. selfish totally!

carrielou2007 · 28/02/2010 20:54

Not to mention the cost!! If it were in this country but a long drive away fair enough, kids could miss school/playgroup for one day but such a long way?? Men!

nicolamumof3 · 28/02/2010 21:00

yep men grrrr! you know i remind him everything bday's get stuff for him i did everything for my mum today. he didn't want to contribute to her present as he'd spent enough on the flights (his words) charming eh? he keeps going on about how well he's doing at work as well.

Comfy · 28/02/2010 21:30

I am guessing he has no children Nicola.
Reminds me of DP's brothers wedding in the antipodes. No way we were going to make it. They weren't nasty at all but there were some comments from other family members. Still they are about to discover how having children changes your life. I find a lot of weddings are selfish and totally become OTT.

nicolamumof3 · 28/02/2010 21:34

he was angry with me as my dad was explaining if they did the fly to athens then internal flight thing he would have to hang around airport for hours. my brother just looked at him as if to say 'and'. So i laughingly said "James at our parents age they don't want to hang around airports...and neither do i with two toddlers" he just said well I only plan to get married once and i've had enough of you laughing and making a joke out of it. As if im laughing im bloody fuming...sorry rant over.

sasamaxx · 28/02/2010 21:58

Can I just ask you learned ladies a quick question please?

Emmaljunga Classic Sport or
Bebecar stylo?

for an 18mo...

Thanks!

nicolamumof3 · 28/02/2010 22:04

sasamaxx · 28/02/2010 22:10

basl · 01/03/2010 00:43

carrie, got email thanks but no pictures. I am trying to imagine what they are like but can't. I think i best have a look before i buy. Sorry. How are you sending the pics. I normally upload onto my computer type the email and then attach the picture. I have just returned home from work a bit earlier tonight.
Not a wedding but i have been invited to my best friends 40th in the Algarve. Her partner's dad has a villa and all her family are going and she asked us if we would go. Honestly people have no idea. Anyway dh can't get the school hols off in April. I think she invited the kids just being polite but she is having a proper party at the pool etc and my kinds would run riot and never get a sleep. She was really upset on the phone tonight as her dog died and she feeling a bit off at turning 40 and no money etc etc and that i can't be with her on her birthday. Dh suggested tonight i go myslef wich would be a couple of days. OMG i am so scared but i think she would be sooo happy. It is the school hols and the flights are so expensive and i would have to get off stanstead then on to the Algarve. I am such a feardy and don't know if i can do it.

Comfy don't know much about those pushchairs sorry sure someone else can help.

sasamaxx · 01/03/2010 07:48
