It's definitely noted here when you're not around Nicola, I think we should re-name this Nicola's shed as it goes so quiet when you're not about!

Sorry to hear your sad news Lilypie

carrielou2007 · 27/02/2010 11:21

Oh Nicola you don't get a minute either dashing here and there, cleaning, ironing, entertaining dc we're always here knowing just how you feel and can empathise with you

I just went to clean my bathroom and dc's dad had replaced the clean bedding that was sat ready for me to do I was like

basl · 27/02/2010 11:27

oh ma love don't say that. It is a know fact that we always treat the ones we love the worst. I have a paddy from time to time and olivia always looks shocked bless her and says "mum just you have a little sit down and i will tidy up the mess, adults and mums don't cry you know" bless

Comfy · 27/02/2010 11:29

Lillypie I am so sorry for your sad news.
Counting blessings is always good to do.
Carrielou are you having a george liner made for you? Has someone found material?
I always wanted a Nemo liner or bits for DD3 but she has grown out of it a bit now. Nice character fabric can be hard to find.
Nicola you must have had a bad morning. We definitely miss you on here.
I had a groundhog moment when I came downstairs this morning. I had had a bath and came downstairs to DP on the laptop in the kitchen, chaos all around him, my three children and a visitor all running around like wild indians yelling and squealing, breakfast stuff all over the table, sofa bed still out, all blinds and curtains still shut..... I could go on.
So I put on Meatloaf at full blast and started tidying the living room!
DP then realises that maybe he should be doing something and starts emptying the dishwasher. Sigh.

carrielou2007 · 27/02/2010 13:01

Men!! I can picture that scene Comfy! Found a George pig liner on ebay so asked for a buy it now and grabbed it. Dd's bedroom is peppa pig but resisting george for ds room. Just the lovely accesories!!

maxybrown · 27/02/2010 13:02

lilypie sorry to hear your news. I am glad for you that you have your fantastic Holiday "home" to look forward to as well. Thinking of you.

Oh Nicola, I do know how you feel It will be especially hard on you atm too with Terry being at home, the whole way things work will change, it can be quite hard going, especially, as you have said yourself, at this time of year. Always around for a chat - this is when we need to live closer for that retail therapy

Well, caravan is home and on the drive!! It's fab, really clean and tidy......I might do some pics to cheer nicola up see how kind I am lol

We also had to drive past JL on way so Dh dropped me in to exchange that top AGAIN. i tried age 4 - AGE FOUR on Ds and it just fitted nicely now, which I then thought can't see it fitting in 6 months time. Refused to buy age 5 for him, just bloomin stupid, so the very nice lady gave me a refund onto my card even wothout the receipt so am off to buy some smafolk instead I think - yes carrie, get asking us for ideas!! i don't do pink at all, BUT i do think girls have more choice......hence why i search to find fabby stuff for James. We got bright yellow lion smafolk top last week and is fab!

Oh and IdaT or Ida T is fab too, we have waterproofs in that, bright yellow with zebras all over

have i waffled enough yet? are you feeling any better?

So sorry Lillypie

Nicola, why did you have to link the new micralite! I want one now, love he fact it comes with the winter warmer as well!

Been to the SN library with the boys today. I really need a spare pair of hands with three boys! DS3 was walking rather than in his pram as I drove there in my new car , then we went to Tesco and McDonalds. I didn't get anything though as I'm being good!

Its all wet and minging outside.

Just returned from a birthday party Daniel was invited to. His first ever without Olivia. OMG i have bright red cheeks (nothing to do with the two glasses of wine) he is such hard work. He will not sit on his bum for a second. I was given a guided tour of the house as he kept trying to escape up the stairs. What a stunning house!!!! It was huge and the garden was like your local park with swings 4 playhouse/summerhouse type affairs couple of differnet patios and i could just go on and on. They had a huge big hall as you enter the house that was set up with flashing lights and disco which the 10yr old son was in charge of and i have to say i could have stayed all day if daniel would have had a nap. He loved it wee soul as he never gets anywhere as he is too much in other peoples houses. He just wants to touch and explore all the time. The girls mum who had the party took daniel and gave me a lovely glass of wine and made me sit down. Ahhh biss it was lovley. Such a posh house but they were all so lovley even let daniel roam about their posh livingroom. He said Happy Birthday clear as day and everone could not believe it. Anyhoo off to my real world now. Nic hope you are ok

Divatheshopaholic · 27/02/2010 17:44

Lillypie, so sory to hear your news. Im glad you are feeling blessed with what you got and looking forward to your hols and meeting family.
Nicola, hope you are ok. I have been having ground hog days lately. And i havent been around much.
Maxy, are we up to meet next week. I still ahvent been to JL yet.
Basl, sounds liek you and little Daniel had fab day.

nicolamumof3 · 27/02/2010 18:06

im ok now just really upset with my brother mainly. then the fact that i burst into tears and dh just kind of ignored it. He's v.strange sometimes!!

carrielou2007 · 27/02/2010 19:17

We had a lovely day shopping, bought loads of stuff for ds in Next clearance and Baby Gap and a gorgous new winter coat for dd for walking to playgroup every day.

Basl that sounds like you had a lovely afternoon (wish I could have a yummy glass of wine!!)

Nicola nowt queerer than folk - especially those men who are suposed to know us well. Can I have a pic of the apples snunkie as I really would love it I think

Dc's dad and their half sister gone now - peace - I can clean and tidy my house now when dc in bed

Thinking of you Lilypie

nicolamumof3 · 27/02/2010 20:32

decided to hold onto snunkie for now...sorry but i waited a while for it and it is v.lovely! i might get nipper liner made same fabric

Comfy · 27/02/2010 20:36

Evening. Sounds like a nice afternoon basl. I've had a dull day. Hope your ok Nicola.

nicolamumof3 · 27/02/2010 20:50

im fine now thanks x

basl · 27/02/2010 21:11

Comfy hi normally things are dull around here but i have never stopped talking about this party i was at. My dh thinks i should seriously get out more as he can't believe how excited i was about a 1yr olds birthday party. It was kind of an adult's party too with the wine iykwm. Thats another thing i have never seen such a collection of wine in a house like this before. Built into the units where celing to floor reds and then at the other end of the kitchen the fabby built in white wine celler chilled. Thennnnn a cupboard with optics it was like one of those lovley wine bars. It doesn't take much to impress me and my dh said " I hope you weren't walking about with your mouth wide open"
I had a delivery from vertbaudet and it came with a free sleeping bag which olivia now has on her bed. I am having a blue retro spot footmuff made by snunkie from their blanket range. The buggysnuggles are getting a bit tight i think and normasknockers advised me that the snunkie footmuffs are much longer. So lucy is going to make one to fit the baby jogger in that fabric. Looking forward to that.

nicolamumof3 · 27/02/2010 21:28

sounds lovely basl (the party/house and the footmuff!) i would be the same zero social life as you all know!

Comfy · 27/02/2010 21:29

Basl I would have been the same. DD2 went to an organised party recently-church hall, entertainer, food etc. I was just going to drop her off but was handed a glass of cava as I went in. Fab! And I have taken various DDs to parties in houses round here which have made my jaw drop.
Peoples jaws may drop when they come to my house but for different reasons
It's not that bad really.

basl · 27/02/2010 21:36

The thing is nic i do get invited to things all the time and the only thing that stops me is me. I am so selfconcious about my weigh because i have one of those big tummy and little legs and bum so nothing fits me well and i just can't be bothered but it is lke when i go into work i don't know how many times i have nearly phoned in sick because i have had a bad day and in tears etc etc and once i shower (wich is a nighmare) keeping daniel out of harms way) and my work/office clothes on and arrive at work 7pm i feel soooo different, i can laugh and chat a way like you would never know i was just about to call in due to stress. I did not want to go to party today but again once there and dressed and looking better than i normally do i felt really happy.

basl · 27/02/2010 21:37

lol comfy

Comfy · 27/02/2010 21:42

Aw basl. You know on the net we are all willowy

Comfy · 27/02/2010 21:44

Hey my sil is in labour. Mild pains for a couple of days on and off and had a show. DP's brother was a little when we all said oh it could stop even now. She isn't due for a week.
Exciting though.

nicolamumof3 · 27/02/2010 21:45

awww basl i feel for you. i feel such a framp these days. but too damn lazy to do anything about it.

I said to dh the other night do you actually fancy me in any of the clothes i wear...bless him he said yes "your pink spotty bra and knickers" haha!!!

basl · 27/02/2010 21:47

yes much prefer that image. One last thing i promise The birthday girls mum is 5mths preg and SHE look stunning with trendy jeans and a really funky blouse, high heels long blonde hair make up. She looked slimmer than me. The cheek of it but she was so lovley and her mum who held the party in her house was just as stunning she made my dh all flustered when he came to pick us up. She is very cuddly kissy person and my dh so not.

basl · 27/02/2010 21:48
