Thread II.......Oh dear

OP posts:
suzie38 · 24/06/2011 14:50

It's arrived...DH texted me while at work...Still in box as i'm waiting for someone to look at my Vigour 3.

suzie38 · 24/06/2011 14:52

And no custom charges plus the price on the label was less than i paid anyway.

Tabitha8 · 24/06/2011 15:19

Sorry to but in, but....
A Bumbleride Flyer? THE Bumbleride Flyer? Crikey. Lucky you! Can't wait for you to open the box and tell all.
Amazon.com do appear to ship to the UK. Not sure of the cost for a Flyer. I've seen the BabyGizmo Youtube reviews of the Flyer and think it looks really great.
I've been considering a Graco Fusio. Need rearfacing as need sign language with DS. He's 2. Have a great off-road pram (M&P Ultima from Ebay) but need something for car, bus and shops.

Guildfordnanny · 24/06/2011 15:22

Whoohooooo Suzie! That is brilliant news :) Enjoy opening it later. monkey I have only really heard good things about the Uppa Vista stroller. It's been likened a lot to a Bugaboo. I don't know much about the suspension but I guess the MB Swift diesnt have suspension - it gets some from the air tyres and I think the UV Stroller has everlasting air / foam tyres? I am not reading great reviews about the Rumble seat - but why do people think two children should be light to push? The positioning of he Rumble seat the frame should mean the UV Stroller should be easier to handle than the city select??

suzie38 · 24/06/2011 15:22

I'm so excited as it's so cool...Perfect for when we start using buses as it's really short if you flip the handle all the way up or down...It can lie 180 degrees back if you go past the last notch, 170 degrees on the last notch...Full 90 degree sit up or slightly less which is still pretty upright...Love having 4 swivel wheels, nearly got a Peg Perago second hand off eBay that did that but it was too far away to collect...Very light to pick up and great suspension on all wheels which is another favorite requirement...DD isn't here at the moment so can't test her in it but it feels like it's going to glide along very easily...Very tall hood that offers good coverage...Basket's not massive but then it's not a big pushchair...Lovely footrest with loads of positions...Suppose only downside is brakes on every wheel which is possibly why it can't be sold over here as i think linked brakes are a requirement...I haven't got a snack tray but might buy one as i can use it on the Indie as well plus the Flite if i get one of those as well.

suzie38 · 24/06/2011 15:28

I tried a Graco Fusio in Toys r' us as i really wanted one...It felt like a ton of bricks to push minus a child!!! So i quickly changed my mind...I normally love Graco's as the ones i've had were so light and nippy to push...We have rear facers because DH is almost 100% deaf but DD isn't talking yet but when she is i think they'll both appriciate facing each other...We don't use sign language but thinking maybe it'd be a good idea to start learning soon...Flyer great as you can simply flip the handle rather than faffing around turning seats around, the way you usually have to do.

Tabitha8 · 24/06/2011 15:34

We are using Makaton and it's working brilliantly.
Oh, a Flyer!
I thought the Fusio easy to push, but then my Ultima does weigh about 5kg more! The Fusio harness was a bit flimsy and the apron is too small to use when in pushchair mode. I also want an adjustable calf support which the Fusio doesn't have. I thought the seat material was a bit plasticky.
However, I found it very easy to fold without the seat on, so that was a bonus.

Guildfordnanny · 24/06/2011 15:35

It sounds brilliant...I must...must...not.... buy one......

FriggFRIGG · 24/06/2011 16:27

OH!! the flyer sounds great!! cant wait to hear what its like with a child in!
right,i need to get my MB on ebay....im going to do buy it now,or best offer,i reckon??as im paranoid about auctionsGrin

suzie38 · 24/06/2011 17:27

Frigg, which Amazon site??? UK or US??? And any idea about postage costs???

MonkeysPunk · 24/06/2011 17:50

Link to bumbleride flyer shop or seller that will ship to UK please?

FriggFRIGG · 24/06/2011 18:47

okay,wait a mo....

FriggFRIGG · 24/06/2011 18:53

right it'll be £277 for the flyer sans snackpack, as the one i looked at isnt in stock anymore, but this one will deliver to the uk and is inclusive of import and delivery fees.
but,save one for ME!!!!

suzie38 · 24/06/2011 19:12

Where do it say they ship to the UK???

FriggFRIGG · 24/06/2011 19:18

it doesnt SAY you just put it in your cart, get all the way to the point where you tell them your address, and,if they DONT ship to the uk,a little red box pops up telling you they wont....
this one DOES,
although i can no longer find any snackpacks that will come here,so that might have to go via an american friend....

suzie38 · 24/06/2011 19:33

I might stick with the seller on eBay as Bumbleride recommend them as international shippers on their Facebook page...But will have to buy the extras via Paypal as they're not listed on their eBay pages but do state they sell Bumblerides complete range.

FriggFRIGG · 24/06/2011 20:02

can you link to the page that sells the rest of their range??

MonkeysPunk · 24/06/2011 20:11

I'm tempted! I would love to hear how it pushes with baby in and handle reversed. I like the sound of the all round suspension.
I really shouldn't though! Lol this thread is terrible!

FriggFRIGG · 24/06/2011 20:14

i know!!

i really want the snackpack too though....

suzie38 · 24/06/2011 20:30

But you can find their website via bumbleride Facebook page...I'll go try find it...There's some fantastic pictures of Bumblerides on there.

FriggFRIGG · 24/06/2011 20:33

thanks!

they dont seem to have the snackpacks though Sad

FriggFRIGG · 24/06/2011 20:33

oooh,that sounds good!Grin

suzie38 · 24/06/2011 20:38

www.balkowitsch.com/

suzie38 · 24/06/2011 20:42

I'm going to email directly to see if they can sell/order an extras i want and just pay via Paypal...They definetely ordered direct from Bumbleride before shipping it on to me, because they said Bumbleride said no Ruby Flyers available until mid July, so did i want to change my color which i did to Seagrass...Might get a Ruby Flite at some point.
