Thread II.......Oh dear

OP posts:
aswellasyou · 18/07/2011 13:30

There's another Bumbleride on eBay in Bristol. It looks in really good condition as well. I didn't realise they had pockets on the front of the footmuffs. I found two secret pockets on my Halo yesterday while photographing it to list on eBay!

Frigg, do you think you might be cured?Shock I was talking to Saoirse the other day about this-we reckon we'd be cured with a Kobi between us and a Xari each.Wink I want white and lots of comfort packs so I can kep changing the look of them.

FriggFRIGG · 18/07/2011 14:13

ooooh,now i like that oneGrin

but still not enough to want it.....

AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! i think i might be cured Shock

aswellasyou · 18/07/2011 14:23

Oh no!! We'll have to think of something the Kobi isn't good for!Grin

Guildfordnanny · 18/07/2011 14:29

Wow the Joovy Caboose is a good price. I have been pondering these on and off. I liked the look of the Ergo but all the reviews seemed so negative with people preferring the standard Caboose. I may well order one of these because they sell well on EBay later. Thanks

Guildfordnanny · 18/07/2011 14:32

It's not good for shopping.....
Find me a secondhand Bumbleride Twin please!

aswellasyou · 18/07/2011 14:37

I'd like a Bumbleride twin myself!
Frigg buy this. It's only 7.3kg and it's £52 shipped including taxes!Grin

MonkeysPunk · 18/07/2011 14:47

Graco QuattroTour Deluxe can be bought and shipped - inc tax / import for £124!!! [hshock] Although it's an "unusual" colour.....lol
What colour Joovy will you get? (Black/lemon was my fave - or the black purple!)

aswellasyou · 18/07/2011 14:53

This stroller can take children up to 70lb/32kg!Shock That's amazing!

Guildfordnanny · 18/07/2011 14:54

Gosh you lot are terrible! That Contours is fab for the money! Just looook at that huuuuuge basket! But I bet it can only carry a maximum of 4lbs! The Joovy is the basic one - not the Ultralight that Mothercare sells. I like the purple and black too. Hubby prefers my BJCS amethyst seats so he would probably go for that. But I don't know if I can be bothered to read the several hundred reviews and work out the difference between the standard Joovy and the ultralight (I assume one is lighter!).

Guildfordnanny · 18/07/2011 14:58

The Aprica is amazing especially with such tiny wheels. It's 109cms long though which means it wouldn't fit in my car :(

Guildfordnanny · 18/07/2011 14:58

In fact almost 110cmd

MonkeysPunk · 18/07/2011 15:20

I'm pretty tempted by the Graco Metrolite in Rittenhouse...... but it's the same price as the Graco Quattro - which is obviously bigger and more deluxe, with more suspension and everything...whereas I'm really looking for a buggy to take on the "free bus" which has nowhere to park your buggy (and I don't "do" umbrella strollers as a general rule - and doubt I'd get away with taking the vista on the free bus - as it's full of pensioners and walking frames/ shopping trolleys - and shopping on the return journey!)...so it's got to be a buggy I won't mind them stacking stuff on....! (atm I have the vista, and the bj summit xc I'm keeping - the MB swift will be sold when the eventually send me the new part or take it back to fix it!)
Actually, maybe I should ring MB as they have not been in touch at all about my broken swift (secondary locking latch not working - spring has unwound itself and there's a sharp metal wire poking out!)....I'm pretty fuming about that - I would have though as the stroller is only a month old they'd be v apologetic and quick to fix things - as it cannot be used atm - not even a courtesy stroller (allright I don't need a courtesy stroller - but they just do not even care about that!!!). [hshock]!!!

aswellasyou · 18/07/2011 15:40

I've just been reading about it and apparently it's got pretty good suspension too. I didn't read the size of it-I was too busy being amazed at the weight capacity!Grin It wouldn't fit in a lot of boots I reckon. They do a similar one called a Cadence that's 91.5 cm long and the Presto Flat is 104cm long. I'm making myself want one now! Any of them.

aswellasyou · 18/07/2011 15:50

The Presto is actually 41.87"/103.8cm long when folded. I've just been looking here.

Monkeys, the service for you from Mountain Buggy has been terrible! I'm not a big fan of Gracos but I really like the pattern on the insert on the Rittenhouse version.

suzie38 · 18/07/2011 16:23

I've had 2 Metrosports which is the UK name for the Metrolite...They're very light and nippy.

suzie38 · 18/07/2011 16:24

And i quite like the Kolcraft cheapy but think i'd better stick with my Citisports though.

suzie38 · 18/07/2011 17:25

My Flite is on it's way and due for delivery on Thursday, which is great as i'm home all day Smile

MonkeysPunk · 18/07/2011 17:27

Where did you get the citisports?
I'm now wondering whether to just keep the swift and use that. It would be more versatile for off road outings with the kids. . Via train first. However, I wonder if mb will fix before summer hols are over?
I can't use it as it is, and the sticking out wire is a hazard.
I got the auto response email but they've not contacted me with a solution. After I went to the trouble of photographing and describing the problem. Maybe I should contact boots as I bought from them.

suzie38 · 18/07/2011 17:30

And my snack pack and footmuff arrived today but not the correct color...The guy assumed because i contacted him via a Ruby Flyer listing that was the color i wanted...Can't be arsed to send back so luckily it'll match the Flite...Mind you the footmuff is naff compared to the one's i have for my Bugaboos so i'll use it as a seat liner on my Flite in summer as the color doesn't look too bad, makes us look Christmassy...Plus the footmuff isn't very big but should be ok with my tiny 2 year old this winter on the Flite...But the 2 pockets are great, one is zipped and the other mesh at the bottom.

pramsgalore4 · 18/07/2011 17:31

sorry to butt in, but yes you should always go back to where you bought it, i have heard good things about boots, i bet they will just send you out a new replacement and pick up damaged one.

suzie38 · 18/07/2011 17:33

I got one Citisport for £8 from a car boot...The second one was brand new on eBay £69 but the seller has stopped relisting even though he still had 40 left...They're so light and nippy and true one handed fold...Didn't realise the proper folding technique until i got the instructions.

FriggFRIGG · 18/07/2011 17:46

monkey,boots are FAB for returns!
i took my B-dual in store to see what they'd say,and they just asked if id rather a full refund,or a new one!Shock
i got the refund, and bought an explorer Grin

MonkeysPunk · 18/07/2011 17:51

Pramsgalore4, thanks for the advice. I will phone boots customer service tomorrow.
I think I would like to keep the swift really rather than sell. It's pretty neat for on trains and travel generally.

I've almost talked myself into a graco from the usa, or a bjcm today, but really the swift would do the job of both with more versatility. Eg, if i go to the nforest the swift will manage a country walk, and fit in the tiny village shops too.

HoneyNorwegianRidgebackdragon · 18/07/2011 20:18

Suzie, the Graco flip, is it a bigger fold than the bee+?

suzie38 · 18/07/2011 20:29

It's wider because the Bee goes inwards as it folds...Height wise it's taller from what i remember...Depth wise probably similar but the Graco free stands which always makes a folded pushchair great for me...My Flip It got bought and collected tonight.
