Suzie, pramaholic says JL told her the cosmo Xari would be in some time in August.

Guildfordnanny · 16/07/2011 23:12

Hmmm...my list is tiny because I do my research for months first and also OH is hard to get round... actually....its not that small.... Blush....a total of 9 for our family (6 singles and 3 doubles) but that doesnt include anything specifically bought, used or borrowed for BB which OH doesn't seem to mind!

Guildfordnanny · 16/07/2011 23:12

Hmm I tried to cross out that first bit but it didn't work lol!

aswellasyou · 16/07/2011 23:29

When I say pramaholic, I clearly mean pramsgalore.Hmm
Guildford I don't think that counts!Grin How many have you used then?
I've had 8 (3 doubles, 5 singles) and only a 10 month old daughter. I'm close to getting another double, just struggling to get a part shipped from France.

Guildfordnanny · 16/07/2011 23:45

LOL the ones I have used....what 23 years worth????? LOL!!!

Oohh are you buying that Bebe Confort twin one???

aswellasyou · 16/07/2011 23:48

Yes 23 years' worth!GrinWink You've probably used more than I've seen.
I'm trying really hard to buy the BC! I need the double adapter thing that I can't find in the UK and all the French eBay sellers are ignoring me.

OuchFriggingBludger · 17/07/2011 09:22

Have you tried writing to them in french?! Grin

aswellasyou · 17/07/2011 10:49

Frigg I have written to them in French! They're still ignoring me. Sad One responded (in very bad English) about sending a chassis but then I found one in Birmingham for a lot cheaper. Just let me buy the adapter!!!!!

HoneyNorwegianRidgebackdragon · 17/07/2011 11:05

aswellasyou

Call Dorel, say you have lost it and as them to source one for you? They'll just go through the European office for a parts request. It's worth a try, surely?

aswellasyou · 17/07/2011 11:11

I'd never heard of Dorel! I've looked them up and how to contact them. Annoyingly, my house phone is broken (isn't everything in this house at the moment?!) and I'd have to call Canada from my mobile.Shock So I'll send them an email instead. Hopefully they can get hold of one for me.

HoneyNorwegianRidgebackdragon · 17/07/2011 11:12

Noooo, call the uk office!!!!

HoneyNorwegianRidgebackdragon · 17/07/2011 11:14

www.bebeconfort.co.uk Distributor: Dorel Juvenile Group U.K email:[email protected] Tel: 020 82360707 Fax: 020 82360770

there you go!!!!!!

HoneyNorwegianRidgebackdragon · 17/07/2011 11:16

They are normally very helpful, but be kind patient and firm, their customer care team are lovely, but normally the last peole who are actually told about the items they manufacture, import and distribute Grin, but they are refreshingly honest about this when pushed Grin

Guildfordnanny · 17/07/2011 11:21

Oh gawsh don't even start me on how it took Dorel two months to work out which adaptor I needed for my Zapp Xtra and then charged me £30 for the pleasure! I sold it as soon as the parts arrived. It took me something like 8 phone calls to sort!

HoneyNorwegianRidgebackdragon · 17/07/2011 11:27

Guildford, I rang about the seat unit. I knew more than they did. They told me that it had gone to Quinny Castors and on general release, and they still hadn't been sent the specification or release date for the parts. They were having to google for information Shock

Also the stores selling the seat units to go on a normal frame, were splitting the units, well before the seat was due to be distributed independently, meaning it had no warranty Shock, hence they couldn't sell further adapters as they had not arrived from manufacturers. am not a fan of Quinny, but they have been great with my BC stuff Smile

aswellasyou · 17/07/2011 11:32

Oooh thankyou Honey. I'd gone straight to Dorel's site. I've sent an email to that address too. I might try calling as well.

aswellasyou · 17/07/2011 11:35

I'll also keep trying to find one myself then. I can't wait two months!Shock

Guildfordnanny · 17/07/2011 17:00

I dont know if you have seen the Zapp properly but on the normal Zapp you can remove the seat fabric, and add car seat adaptors to make a travel system. With the Zapp Xtra you have the same chassis but you need two small round adaptors to slot instead of the car seat adaptors to add the seat unit. But when you have a baby in a car seat, you may, like us, be constantly switching between car seat and seat unit. But the car seat adaptors are chunky enough to not lose. But the small round seat adaptors are a nightmare to keep safe. We lost ours in the dark in the bad snow - even though we had a supposedly secure drawstring ag which OH forgot to tighten. It is such a bad design flaw to not find a way to keep these small adaptors permanently fixed to the frame somehow or provide somewhere to keep them. The seat units are under £100 so at £30 a go I couldn't afford to lose another set...or rather OH :( But Dorel kept trying to send me car seat adaptors and even when they knew which I wanted they weren't allowed to send them out without having them checked and agreed they were correct first!

HoneyNorwegianRidgebackdragon · 17/07/2011 18:37

Tbh the Zapp Xtra was great in principle but in reality a utter sham, when I finally got to see one there was no way I was going to part my cash. I raised the extra to buy the Bee+ instead.

But othedr than Quinny related items I have onthe whole found Dorel to be rather pleasant.

MonkeysPunk · 18/07/2011 11:55
