Thread II.......Oh dear

OP posts:
Guildfordnanny · 14/07/2011 20:32

Thanks for the BabyGuild Birthday Wishes. It's been a lovely day! He's sat beside me outside clapping his hands in his Puky Ceety. I guess he likes it :)

OuchFriggingBludger · 14/07/2011 20:58

ohh! bless him!!Grin

yes it has a carrycot inside each seat with a mattress each (am i supposed to keep these inside too?),and two sets of car seat adaptors, two footmuffs, single raincover, double raincover, single bug mesh, changing bag with wet bag and bottle holder, two bumper bars (one has a rip) one hood missing and one harness missing.although it has both 'liners'Confused
it is in amazing condition, basically perfect,a few scratches, nothing much.

it pushes like a dream ,even with over 3 stone of (combined) weight in.
i LOVE the chassis
i LOVE the seats
i LOVE the liners (although i feel they are more worthy of the term mattress!)
i LOVE the detail
i LOVE the height settings on the upper seat,
when Arlo and i went to the shop alone he was very happy to get a seat so close to me,and still be able to see around really well,
DD kept saying how comfortable she was and DS was really happy in the 'bottom' seat, the visibility is 100% better than a p&t,it's just incomparable...
DD asked to be reclined (1st time EVER) and happily lay there!

so i got home from a long walk across town, with no hint of the back ache i normally have, and when i shut the door,i realize they are both happily snoozingGrin Brew Grin

suzie38 · 14/07/2011 21:10

Your making me want a Xari even more even though i don't need one.

OuchFriggingBludger · 14/07/2011 21:19

you do need one suzie...everyone does Grin

suzie38 · 14/07/2011 21:23

But i've got to go all the way to Solihull just to have a look...Why can't my JL have them in stock...Tis not fair stamps feet

Guildfordnanny · 14/07/2011 21:28

Aha...someone who understands me at last!!! Go and reread my reviews now you have had the Mima experience! It's about the quality, the push ability, the style, the detail...the experience!! There is nothing quite like it :) i dontet back ache either and you can lift it up and down steps and kerbs no prblem fully loaded! I am going to take mine for a push tomorrow because I just have to.... wow you got lots of extras. Have you asked the seller where the missing harness is?????? Is it in the photos? If you have two seat mattresses :) then they had two harnesses. BTW someone her said the seat pads are memory foam. They are sooo thick!

aswellasyou · 14/07/2011 21:39

The JL tags sad the 'mattresses' Grin were memory foam. Suzie, do it! I imagine you've made quite a bit towards one with your recent sales.Wink They really are gorgous pushchairs. I would prefer the white myself but you might really like the dark grey in real life. And you might see me and Saoirse and the babies in the pushchair department in Solihull-we're always in there!

OuchFriggingBludger · 14/07/2011 21:40

yes i have asked,i've got no reply.yet.
there is NO mention of the harness being included, but no mention of it not being included either!Angry butGrin as i just love it so much!

do you know how much the harness/seat pad is going to cost?
do i have to go to john lewis to order it in?its not up on their website....

aswellasyou · 14/07/2011 21:41

Frigg, if you're not near a John Lewis, we could go in and ask how much the comfort kits are for you.

OuchFriggingBludger · 14/07/2011 21:41

oh and i love the grey frame Grin it's beautiful.honest.

aswellasyou · 14/07/2011 21:41

Scrap that. It's £55.

OuchFriggingBludger · 14/07/2011 21:43

oh that'd be great,if youre going anyway...the one im closest to is southampton, its about an hour away, and i dont drive,so id have to rope my mother in Hmm

although,DS's new car seat is on its way,so i do need a reason for a car trip Grin

OuchFriggingBludger · 14/07/2011 21:43

THANKYOU!where'd you find that??

aswellasyou · 14/07/2011 21:46

Suzie it's only £710 here in red and white.

aswellasyou · 14/07/2011 21:48

Hang on!

OuchFriggingBludger · 14/07/2011 21:51

oooh the grey/blue is lurverley!

aswellasyou · 14/07/2011 21:51

It states the RRPs here and JL were selling everything at the RRP. I could buy one and send it to you if you'd prefer not to go to Southampton. I don't know how much the postage would be though so it might be more worth your while travelling for it.

suzie38 · 14/07/2011 21:52

That's nice...It'll match 's England dummy, not that it ever leaves the cot though!!! Money's not an issue, though i'll be pleased to sell the Go though...Last Vigour left the building, at 5.38pm today.

OuchFriggingBludger · 14/07/2011 21:57

thanks aswellas, but im going to need to wait until either i sell some things,or get the seller to refund £55 to buy a new one,as he didnt say it was missing, and i think a harness is pretty integral to a pushchair!!
i'd certainly state if i was selling one and it was missing!!

suzie38 · 14/07/2011 22:00

Yes i would as well and did when i sold my spare Frog set...But with that you could use the existing harness and just swap over...But a double buggy needs double harnesses.

aswellasyou · 14/07/2011 22:03

Definitely try to get the money out of him. Technically he wouldn't be out of pocket as he was willing to accept £500 at one point. It is weird that he didn't say anything.
I'm just being curious now, does this code still work on ebaby
5F7M-62T5-1S47 ?

Guildfordnanny · 14/07/2011 22:13

The RRPs for everything are here on Best Buggy too - at the bottom before the photos. I think you could argue the case with EBay for the missing harness if the seller doesn't refund you / find it, because it isn't safe to sell a pushchair without a harness! JL should sell you one because the comfort pack is really an accessory (even though you need a harness!) You don't need to keep the mattresses inside (unless you want to?) I love the dark grey too. I have red liners..are yours black Frigg?

OuchFriggingBludger · 14/07/2011 22:25

yes my liners are black, theyre lovely, but if i could have chosen,id have had blue Grin

Guildfordnanny · 14/07/2011 22:27

Can you get blue in the UK? I think it's just red and black here. I am so glad you like it :)

OuchFriggingBludger · 14/07/2011 22:31

im not sure actually...

the footmuffs are lovely too, they are soo soft inside, and the outside is a softer EVA than the seat, but waterproof,it has invisible magnets so you can fold down the top of it,and a wipe clean section at the bottom, where muddy feet go!

the detail ohhh,im in love ...
