Thread II.......Oh dear

OP posts:
MonkeysPunk · 04/07/2011 07:08

Wow that wagon looks really cool! With a weight limit of
62kg it could be really useful too. I like that it folds up also.

MonkeysPunk · 04/07/2011 07:15

Guildfordnanny if you had the Vista, could you put Ds in rumble seat on the occasions you'd need the two seats on?
On the Phil and teds you are meant to put heaviest child in main seat too.
I bet the rumble seat was tested with zero weight in main seat. I expect irl you could get a heavier kid in the rumble seat depending on how much balast you had in main seat.

FriggFRIGG · 04/07/2011 08:51

TBH i think the seat would take a heck of a lot more than they say it would...i know thats risky, but she wont be in it much....and if it doesnt work out for us,i'll sell the rumble seat and keep the vista for DS....

monkey clickedy click (you can buy it at argos too)

Guildfordnanny · 04/07/2011 10:08

I wouldn't put DS in the Rumble seat because it doesn't recline. I bought the Verve because both seats take 20kgs and whilst it's great for walking with it's got no storage for shopping when DD is underneath ie if she were hopping in and out.

MonkeysPunk · 04/07/2011 11:17

Thank you Friggfrigg for the da vinci link. It looks fab. It might be a good travel toy for Ds and encourage him in drawing. X

FriggFRIGG · 04/07/2011 11:24

Skye loves hers, takes it everywhere Smile

MonkeysPunk · 04/07/2011 12:11

I found some with a little money off at kiddicare, so have rather extravegantly bought one each for my girls and my boy, and the wrist purses by trunki too as they look so well made. I think the kids will love the backpacks and they should be really useful to encourage the kids to carry their own bits and pieces on days out. Particularly with the long summer holidays in mind.

FriggFRIGG · 05/07/2011 15:08

guys!guys! look at this! uppababy vista

MonkeysPunk · 05/07/2011 15:24

That is a lovely pic Friggfrigg!
Are you any closer to getting yours?
Our ganoosh (snuggle bag) arrived and is lovely! Old style with curly lining in cream that sparkles in the sun. If you want the same try WWW.pramworld.co.UK they're cheaper and post free. Think its only grey in older fabric.
Our govinci back packs came. Ds is thrilled with his. Girls not home from school yet to see theirs. I think they are so cute!
Older kids might like to make posters for their display windows ( like "save the whales" or "i love cats" etc ). Masses of fun to be had. ( i would write "manners cos nothing" or "smile") sadly there wasn't a grown up one. I could see how this backpack could be successfully marketed for teenagers in A4 size.
They could put own rad messages on disolay, or posters, or photo prints from latest wild parties on display!

Guildfordnanny · 05/07/2011 15:32

I love that photo FriggFRIGG. The only thing is, where do you think the footrest is? Behind the brown trousers of the boy ie is he sat to one side? He looks comfortable away. They usually recommend the top footrest is bent up, but that boy seems to have room with it down. I also like the Piggyback board because it's very close to the pushchair ie under the handle rather than the adult having to stoop over it. I want one again now...I bet that boy isn't 15kgs!

FriggFRIGG · 05/07/2011 15:32

i know they're brilliant aren't they! we normally have one of Skye's newest pictures in,but i have on occasion snuck a vegi or eco slogan in thereBlush Grin

i have about £250 left to save,so over half way there....Grin
im seeing if anyone wants the contours on the for sale boards on here, before i stick it on Ebay.
oh yeah,i meant to say, there are two people after a swift on here...not sure if you were going to sell or not???

FriggFRIGG · 05/07/2011 15:36

if you click off the picture its a review, she explains how they moved the footrest, also, that baby is 8 months old! and the kid in the rumble seat is 3yrs old!
thats all i need to know!Grin
its exactly what i wanted it to be!!

MonkeysPunk · 05/07/2011 15:59

Well that's awesome news then! I did look at the britax b dual online to see how similar it was, but I still prefer the Vista as a single due to bucket seat.
I was thinking of selling swift for £350 including sun and rain covers and freerider. Does that sound a fair price?
I will have to look on the board to connect up with potential buyers!
Still thinking how cute Ds looks with back pack and purse on! You will spot us easily when out now won't you! Banana buggy/pineapple pram and kids wearing govinci back packs!

FriggFRIGG · 05/07/2011 16:12

that sounds a fantastic price, youre making me want one! i so want a freerider!

suzie38 · 05/07/2011 17:45

I listed my Flip It for £80 to start with and am now down to £50 so some cheeky so and so offered me £25...I turned it down!!!

FriggFRIGG · 05/07/2011 18:26

i always get offered about half the asking price by at least one cheeky sod!

FriggFRIGG · 05/07/2011 19:20

has any one looked into/tried/seen a buggypod smorph????

aswellasyou · 05/07/2011 19:24

Guildford says the Buggypods are rubbish. I can't remember why though!
I keep looking up the BC Twin Club after I should have bought it on eBay. It turns out they're only sold in France as far as I can tell. Maybe I should go on holiday.Wink

FriggFRIGG · 05/07/2011 19:29

nah aswellas, you want the contours off me Wink
shame,i figured it'd be cruddy,but i had to ask!

FriggFRIGG · 05/07/2011 19:44

aswellas you know car seats dont you what do you think of that the?? its going to get cheaper in a few days time,is it worth a purchace??? i was going to get Arlo a cybex pallas like his sister (in a few months when he's a year old) but may get this instead?whaddaya think?Grin

aswellasyou · 05/07/2011 19:45

I don't think I could afford your Contours! If I thought it would fit our Mum's boot I'd have probably bought one already. I'm tempted to get one if/when my Mum gets a new car. I'm pretty sure the Twin Club would fit but they're at least £200 in France excluding shipping.

aswellasyou · 05/07/2011 19:53

I don't know about normal forward facing seats to be honest. The side impact protection looks good though. UK law doesn't require side impact protection-if I recall correctly-so it's important to look out for it. Apart from that I have no idea. It'll be a good buy when the price goes down on Bounty with the HBB and sunshade for free though.

Guildfordnanny · 05/07/2011 20:31

Buggypods - I haven't tried one but I have heard stories of them collapsing whilst crossing the road or trying to go up kerbs...just the time when you don't need something like that to happen. Also they add something like 30 odd cms to a pushchair which isn't a problem when walking on wide pavements / the park but makes most pushchairs very wide with one added. Of course you can fold it up but shops are when I would want DD in a seat! Having said all this there is a new version out which may be more stable. Have you looked at a Strollirider? Hard to get hold of but supposedly fun. I nearly bought one but was put off by the low handlebar height.

suzie38 · 06/07/2011 05:48

I had a dream this morning about a yellow Vista that had yellow velour fabric on the seat and a yellow frame!!! I spent ages quizzing the owner about it.

FriggFRIGG · 06/07/2011 08:29
Grin

i love pushchair dreams!!Grin

DP said i had one a few weeks ago,i was mumbling something about a reversible seat unit, and a divider in my sleep...Confused Grin
