OP posts:
Guildfordnanny · 06/07/2011 10:06

Lol how intriguing! I warned hubby that there were five large boxes coming for the Pear today or tomorrow and he didn't flinch! He's come a long way in a few short months ;) I can see possibilities for a Vista and Rumble seat just to try ;)

saoirse86 · 06/07/2011 12:24

If only I had £600 going spare! Sad

FriggFRIGG · 06/07/2011 12:48

i just made a best offer Confused

it was pittful, but i hope i get it!!!
it was every penny i had in PP!

Guildfordnanny · 06/07/2011 13:09

I hope you win it. It's a great price. Shame the hood clip is broken but like they say, the hoods are stiff so it shouldn't flop anywhere. the quality is outstanding on the Kobi - I love the chassis!

Guildfordnanny · 06/07/2011 13:13

Just to add my huge five boxes of Pear arrived this morning confused Hubby is bemused by them and keeps asking why they are so heavy (there's carrycots, car seats etc). My Graco Quattro Duo covers are now washed so I guess today is a pushchair playing day! Oh and hubby has picked up my bike too but has hidden it! I have told him that I expect it wrapped with a big bow on it! :o

Guildfordnanny · 06/07/2011 13:13

Hmmm I did the smiley wrong didn't I?! Lolol

ive just listed my contours on Ebay,in the vain hope that it will sell fast so i can offer more for the kobi.....if not it'll go towards the vista Smile

FriggFRIGG · 06/07/2011 13:32

monkeyi new it was you that wrote me the essay in a PM on the seed PLI! Grin

Guildfordnanny · 06/07/2011 13:56

If it's the same one that I have read it's a very good essay. Thank you! I love that you can add skis and especially the tyre tracks leaving a message - that is indeed very cool! I think someone could have a good business making personalised pram wheels :)

Guildfordnanny · 06/07/2011 13:58

BTW i like the look of the single Contours!

aswellasyou · 06/07/2011 14:26

There's a Contours in Birmingham for £50 starting price!!! I might try and persuade my Mum to go and try it in her boot.

I also want that Kobi! Technically I could afford it but I'll need the money when I go back to university. And I wouldn't steal it from under your nose Frigg.Grin

the contours fits in my mums boot her car is a peugot 306...if thats any help??

MonkeysPunk · 06/07/2011 15:02

Sadly I never used the seed pli with skis in actual snow. Where we live, we got a bit of snow but it had all melted by the time the skis arrived!
The summit xc was awesome in the snow though! The handbrake for speed control was fab. I added tyre sparx (tesco) to the wheels to be seen after dark in winter.

aswellasyou · 06/07/2011 18:34

I don't know if that helps! Her boot is probably a similar size but the boot door is actually quite small so it can be a pain to get pushchairs in.

FriggFRIGG · 06/07/2011 19:27

quick! how do i make £200 ???????

aswellasyou · 06/07/2011 19:33

NNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! The person selling the Contours in Birmingham did a BIN for £75!!!!Shock Why would he accept so little???!! I've sent him a message asking him to let me know if the sale falls through. I'm so disappointed.Sad
Frigg, if I knew I'd be off doing it! I'm guessing your offer was refused.Sad

FriggFRIGG · 06/07/2011 19:35

countered...i sooo want to acept it,i just dont know when id get the extra through,im madly trying to sell the contours.....but not for £75!!!!!

aswellasyou · 06/07/2011 20:04

The Kobi is such a bargain. And so was the Contours at £75! At that price I could have tried it out and if it didn't fit in my Mum's car I could have kept it and hidden it from her sold it.

Tabitha8 · 06/07/2011 20:29

I know some of you have bought from the US and I just wondered if you'd been able to reclaim any US VAT? People who visit the UK seem to be able to buy tax-free. Not sure how this works, but was just wondering.

FriggFRIGG · 06/07/2011 20:32

no i havent re-claimed any US vat,but i havent tried....

Tabitha8 · 06/07/2011 20:47

Hmm. I'll look into that. The other thing I wondered is, if you decide you don't like what you bought and send it back, then can you reclaim the UK import taxes? Mind you, I appreciate that sending a pushchair back to the US wouldn't be cheap!

FriggFRIGG · 06/07/2011 21:00

ive no idea if you'd even be able to send it back in the first place!!
if you ever find out,do let us know!Grin

aswellasyou · 06/07/2011 21:18

Damn it! The person selling the Contours got back to me saying the woman's already picked it up. I bet she was too excited to wait like I would be.

Guildfordnanny · 06/07/2011 21:26

That's annoying really. Ho hum! FriggFRIGG how is the piggy bank emptying going?

FriggFRIGG · 06/07/2011 21:36

....oh,hi guild.....errr,yeah,ummm,id never empty a piggybank for a buggy!
