Came across this randomly.
I love it. I don’t know anything about the area but I’d love to live in a house like this.
A proper old fashioned house that has not been modernised to look like every other house.
Check our that bathroom !

Its lovely, can't have been redecorated since the 60s. You certainly get more bang for your buck in Yorkshire compared to north Hampshire!

Quandaries · 09/12/2020 20:26

Is that... is that carpet in the kitchen?

So, so ugly.

Zinnia · 09/12/2020 20:39

I hope so much that whoever buys that house doesn't ruin it (the bathroom must stay!)

RosesAndHellebores · 09/12/2020 20:40

I have no words.

NellyJames · 09/12/2020 20:43

No garden though!

Viewfromtheisland · 09/12/2020 20:44

@Shortfeet totally agree, what a fab house. The blue aga and the pulley in the kitchen and looks so well kept!

Flaunch · 09/12/2020 20:47

It’s wonderful 😍

user1485291191 · 09/12/2020 20:49

@NellyJames. Don’t need a big garden, hop and a skip to the moor, countryside and parks close by

FAQs · 09/12/2020 20:56

Someone will come in and make it all glossy white and grey, with tacky LED lights and destroy it, or even worse make it into flats Sad

DobbyTheHouseElk · 09/12/2020 20:56

I agree. It’s beautiful. The bath has to stay. Plus the AGA and laundry pulley.

NewYearNewTwatName · 09/12/2020 21:05

I like the aga, love the bathroom suite but the rest? not really my cup of tea.
if bought it take it back to a 1920s style. At the moment it just looks mishmash eras.

NewYearNewTwatName · 09/12/2020 21:06

*mishmash of eras

CoronaIsWatching · 09/12/2020 21:09

Looks the inside of a horrid Britannia hotel. I love the outside but is definitely "in need of modernisation" on the inside

dudsville · 09/12/2020 21:11

I love that house! And my nan had that bath!

We bought a house much simpler in design but it too had not been modernised. All the walls and doors are in place, it's so peaceful not living open plan. I wonder if I could get a little table in my kitchen like that.

frumpety · 09/12/2020 21:12

Love the bath, you will be able to lie flat in that without bending your knee's even if you are 6ft. Smile

Viewfromtheisland · 09/12/2020 21:12

I don’t see it as a mish mash, I see a family house that has been loved and upgraded as technology changes, a new bathroom, fifties bedroom furniture in the parents room, other changes as life changed and I would not change that kitchen for anything.....

dudsville · 09/12/2020 21:14

In the blue floral bedroom what do you think is that item under the window???

tilder · 09/12/2020 21:15

Beautiful house. Serious time warp.

Viewfromtheisland · 09/12/2020 21:17

A radiator cover??

dudsville · 09/12/2020 21:19

Ah, maybe if the radiators are those really wide ones, yes!

Oliversmumsarmy · 09/12/2020 21:19

Now that is what I call a money pit

Without a garden

YewandOak · 09/12/2020 21:24

That is beautiful/ Much nicer than most houses I've seen on here. It's certainly got character
