If I get round to posting individual rooms in my house (preparing for sale) would anyone be interested in coming on and bluntly telling me 'that bit looks shit, tidy it or fix it'

I am VERY tidy and hate too much stuff, so I will try to help, if you like.

That is an excellent idea! I never notice my own crap until people come round, then it suddenly becomes really obvious.

Lovely. Our house is going to be sold as 'ok, you can live in it but the kitchen and bathroom is shit and you will want to replace them as the early 90's wants their stuff back'.

No, it's all necessary. That giant pile of linen fell down and was inexpertly put back up.
The white unit to the left is stuffed full of linens - tablecloths, pillow cases, towels, duvet covers

Is there a bed in that room or room for a bed? You know about the tidying, but is that a folding bed to the left? If so, make up a bed in that room, even if it's only for the photos.

Having moved some excess stuff from house to house to house i speak from experience.

declutter don't just move stuff about.

Do you plan to keep the furniture? If not deal with it now and present the room as a sparsly furnished bedroom. (Is that a fold out bed i can see left of image that would do with nice bedding on).

The room is quite darkly papered/ painted. Are you up for lightening things up neutralising and giving a clean canvas?

The rooms too small for anything but a single bed (we don't own one). Opposite the wardrobe and drawers is another wardrobe (with one box on it - more Christmas decs)

All the Christmas decorations must go to the garage

Clear storage boxes then for Xmas decs. The rest needs to go. Whose shoes are the 40 shoes and how often are they worn?

That's 80 shoes for two feet.

That's each shoe worn once every six weeks if you wear one pair a day.

Get rid.

One wardrobe, the drawers, a small sofa bed. Rest out.
