Worst Estate Agent photos/details

Having spent literally months of my life trawling Zoopla, Rightmove and all the other property sites, I thought it was about time I publicised the work of some of London's finest estate agents - who obviously haven't yet worked out the point of the internet - and manage to advertise houses with an ineptitude which both baffles and astounds in equal measure.
Remember, you only get one chance to make a first impression Grin and punters are paying 1%-3% of the selling price for these "adverts".

So here's a few of my recent 'favourites' - would love to see yours too!

Is there a charge for extra pictures?

A cracking HOUSE for £225k in Shepherds Bush!

Is it possible to say any LESS about this one?
www.zoopla.co.uk/for-sale/details/11234914?search_identifier=76f735c1d33fc8261d36d34121d353cf

This one comes with its own shopping centre:

These are only the tip of the iceberg and not a patch on some of the ones I've seen - I'll add them as I see them if anybody's interested.

only a touch overpriced

My personal favourite is the 'open-plan living space' masquerading as a usable room. There's no getting away from the fact that this is a one-bed flat pretending to be a 2 bed one, and for half a million quid Shock.

nickelbabe · 05/05/2011 11:06

I like that one, narmada - wouldn't pay that much for it, even in central london! but it has got 2 bedrooms.
and a very open plan living area! Grin

angel1976 · 05/05/2011 13:16

DAMNIT! When I posted up my link, the property was listed as £7,500,000 instead of £750,000. Hmm They have corrected it since...

Lovethesea · 05/05/2011 13:26

I could see it! I've propertybee loaded so I see all the changes to rightmove - including your fabulous extra zero alteration Grin That'll be there now on propertybee until that's sold .....

nickelbabe · 05/05/2011 14:16

have they?
I looked at it before I posted last, at 11.06, and it was still £7.5million.

nickelbabe · 05/05/2011 14:16

obviously EA are watching MN too!

waht influence we have! Grin

Interesting layout this - there appears to be a kitchen in one of bedrooms.

nickelbabe · 06/05/2011 13:42

the link didn't work! Shock

superoz · 06/05/2011 18:50

Soooo Overpriced:

Duvet cover looks new though.

tyler80 · 06/05/2011 18:54

Fixed link

www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-32650637.html

Love the fact that on a 650,000 property the estate agent can't even be bothered to work out how to upload the floorplan pics so the resolution doesn't go all screwy.

befuzzled · 06/05/2011 19:58

Cant find it now but funniest one I ever saw was a nice cottage with a weird angle shot of the exterior - house on one side and then loads of wasteground but only to the left. When you looked at it on streetview is because on the other side it is right next to that nuclear power station in Kent! (Dungeness?)

tyler80 · 06/05/2011 20:07

This one? Grin

befuzzled · 07/05/2011 00:43

That's the one! Ha ha ahaha ha wonder if it ever sold? I must say I am liking how this thread is making things change on rightmove etc power to the people! Lets get houseprices down!

greentown · 08/05/2011 10:25

I love the look of this house from the outside but I wouldn't have said the model railway in the garden was its best feature Confused -

www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-33826619.html

Why do agents only put so few photos? Perhaps this one had run out of digital film Wink or maybe they could oonly afford to get 3 developed down at snappysnaps Grin

OP posts:
thisisyesterday · 08/05/2011 10:35

omg greentown i love that! my 3 boys would definitely say the railway was the best feature Grin

nickelbabe · 09/05/2011 14:50

You'd be amazed at how well those Dungeness houses are perceived!
they're right by the beach (but most of them are just little sheds, really!)
GrinGrin

I would love to live there.

happymole · 11/05/2011 15:45

Don't think the agents proof read before putting on rightmove Grin

I would very pissed off If I was the owner here

nickelbabe · 11/05/2011 16:13
Grin
microserf · 11/05/2011 16:39

love the last link, brilliant.

RickGhastley · 11/05/2011 22:28

PMSL at happymole's link!

I would be fuming if the agent announced to the world what I'd paid for the flat!!!

ninedragons · 12/05/2011 06:18

A friend showed me an agent's photo of a kitchen that on close inspection, had a giant, black, veiny dildo sitting on one of the display shelves.

narmada · 12/05/2011 10:29

Not of the same order but went to view a house on saturday that had a tree in the garden onto which someone had drawn a large cock and balls. Cue a chorus of 'what's that on the tree, mummy' from our 3 year old and lots of inward tittering from her peurile parents.

happymole · 12/05/2011 12:04

And the details have been removed Hmm

angel1976 · 12/05/2011 12:09

I want a model railway in my garden, it would happily keep my boys entertained for hours... Grin The house actually isn't that far from where we are now. There's a mini-steam railway that is run by enthusiasts near Falconwood Station that both my boys love going to, I wonder if that house is owned by someone who does the mini steam railway! :)

holmeseller · 26/05/2011 00:54

ohh.
