Worst Estate Agent photos/details

Having spent literally months of my life trawling Zoopla, Rightmove and all the other property sites, I thought it was about time I publicised the work of some of London's finest estate agents - who obviously haven't yet worked out the point of the internet - and manage to advertise houses with an ineptitude which both baffles and astounds in equal measure.
Remember, you only get one chance to make a first impression Grin and punters are paying 1%-3% of the selling price for these "adverts".

So here's a few of my recent 'favourites' - would love to see yours too!

Is there a charge for extra pictures?

A cracking HOUSE for £225k in Shepherds Bush!

Is it possible to say any LESS about this one?

This one comes with its own shopping centre:

These are only the tip of the iceberg and not a patch on some of the ones I've seen - I'll add them as I see them if anybody's interested.

grockle- that is utterly hilarious!

rockinhippy · 20/04/2011 13:47

Yes tyler Blush you are right, I can see that now, explains why I didn't remember that as the estate agents name, you'll have to excuse me, no sleep so a bit doolally today Confusedr

microserf · 20/04/2011 14:28

Gooseberrybushes, seconding you there!!! Of course, I would never check out the properties on their actually pretty cool interactive floorplan websitey thing then see if the seller had the foresight to register with an agent that I would actually do business with use them at all, on principle of course.

caramelwaffle · 20/04/2011 17:32

Grockle wins so far. Have just read the description!

Hahahaha

Really good thread BTW!

some 'lovely' photos here of corners and bits of window

narmada · 21/04/2011 14:35

osbega fantastic!

libelulle · 21/04/2011 15:49

They have a future in photography, definitely. What a talent!

this one I like because they've clearly tried to 'dress' the house - eg putting out a nice pretend dinner setting on the dining table - but then failed to do simple things like straighten the rug by the fire (or is it actually a tea towel?!). Nice bottle of loo cleaner in the kitchen too :).

vickibee · 21/04/2011 16:03

Poor vendors - if your home is one of the featured properties!!!!

vickibee · 21/04/2011 16:20

Mu=ould growing on ceiling and pretending to be a kitchen, would a vendor ecer approve this? Hilarious....

systemaddict · 21/04/2011 19:29

This is supposed to have six bedrooms

systemaddict · 21/04/2011 19:32

Do you think the kids are included with fixtures and fittings?

oxocube · 21/04/2011 19:49

system, I think that anyone who presents their house for sale looking like that simply isn't serious. Or doesn't deserve a sale in the first place. I am selling and (my friends, family and I) worked our arses off to get it looking great before the estate agent came round.

I see so many pics like this, where the vendors can't even be bothered to do the washing up before the photos are taken. Madness Confused

oxocube · 21/04/2011 19:51

And let us not even mention the spelling mistakes Blush

narmada · 21/04/2011 21:08

My mother in law would love this:

purepurple · 23/04/2011 08:24

Unique with stunning views
really means ugly with views of a tree

GitAwfMayLend · 23/04/2011 12:37

I am dying laughing at grockle's house.

Here is the description C&P'd from the website.

Key features:
Untamed bushes hide garden
Plastic corrugated car port
Mould growing inside the windows
Large room sizes
Large room pretending to be a kitchen
3 double bedrooms
Foam ceiling in bedroom three
Fine aspect! (Has to be put in a set of details)
There is a loft
Planning for 4 flats on the land has been passed
Full description:
Tenure: Freehold

Don't be fooled by first impressions, the DIY corrugated plastic car-port thingy attached to the side of the house is one of the finer aspects to the property. A great location, plot, garden and room sizes are all this sorry bungalow has going for it. To say it's not been looked after would be a little bit of an understatement. The quiet, 100ft (ish) garden is well hidden by untamed bushes and plants. The kitchen/diner (ahem) consists of one 3ft wide unit, a cooker and some cupboards (there's still a shutter to pass coal through!) The big bay window (covered in mould) is doing its best at keeping the light out. The three double bedrooms aren't all too bad (by comparison), although one has a polystyrene tiled ceiling (nice!). If you're either brave, or unfortunate enough to want to view this property, please drop me an email. We strongly recommend not bringing friends or family members. Much better to surprise them with how much help you need renovating the place after you have purchased. Don't give them a chance to say no! I do apologise for the lack of photographs, but I didn't really fancy spending too long in there!

GitAwfMayLend · 23/04/2011 12:43

Christ the photos on the Pattinsons one look like a bad acid trip.

And BLIMEY how cheap is it in Nottingham - a 4 bedroom house for £120K Shock

GitAwfMayLend · 23/04/2011 12:56

this is a beautiful house, however the photos are vaguely sinister - a dining table with ONE chair against it, an ecclesiastical looking single bed and several pictures of steps in the pissing rain.

GitAwfMayLend · 23/04/2011 12:59

3 bedroom house with planning permission for health club and a wall of musical instruments which look as if they would come to life disney stylee in the middle of the night

GitAwfMayLend · 23/04/2011 13:10

www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-17267484.html this house is as ugly as sin, however the photos seem to highlight how overlooked it is, and how cramped and dirty inside.

Plus why have they taken a close up picture of a muddy flowerbed?

caramelwaffle · 23/04/2011 13:13

Are they actually selling the trampoline?

And what is wrong with people!? You know the estate agent is coming to the house; tidy up for gawds sake.

GitAwfMayLend · 23/04/2011 13:15

I know - all the bloody carrier bags on the backs of chairs.

Messy sods.

caramelwaffle · 23/04/2011 13:16

The six bedroom house is/could be beautiful but Lordy Lordy - it is sinister looking.

caramelwaffle · 23/04/2011 13:37

five bedrooms yippee but no pictures

but we'll capture what is on the t.v. and the messy kitchen
