Hi Metatron

How are things with you?

I can't wait to get shot of both of mine lol

No rest for the wicked tho as i'll have 2 mindees in their place!

Metatron · 16/08/2009 12:41

Things much better now. DH was out of work for over 2 months so v stressful for a while.

Have you mindees lined up already?

aGalChangedHerName · 16/08/2009 15:17

Oh god really? Poor Dh and you of course!! Glad he's ok now x

DH still in same job but gets lots of shit if not hitting targets. He had the biggest increases on last year, even tmore than the big centres in Edinburgh. Wankers!!

Still have the little girl i had last year (she is fab) and mum is trying to get her into nursery in Eliburn next year so that she will remain with me till she starts school.

Also have a little baby boy (4 months) part time. 2 afternoons and 1 full day so pretty good atm here.

TheInvisibleManDidIt · 16/08/2009 16:43

Last night before freedom school

HaggisNeepsnTatties · 16/08/2009 16:47

AGal....I managed to get gym shorts in BHS.

Metatron · 16/08/2009 18:32

oooh a baby! Nice. Did dd2 get a morning place? is she going where dd1 went?

aGalChangedHerName · 16/08/2009 18:36

Haggis BHS only had boys when i wa sin. Will pick up the shorts tomorrow for Tuesday anyway.

Metatron they only do mornings at that nursery so a wee bit of freedom from my 2 monsters if nothing else lol. Yes a wee squidgey baby!! He is really lovely.

Is dd1/dd2 excited about school/nursery?

Metatron · 16/08/2009 18:39

They are excited, they were trying on their uniforms and they looked so chuffed with themselves. DD2 has a hideous blue tracksuit thing - not compulsory but all the kids wear it she's happy though.

Would love to meet up for a blether sometime if you could manage it.

aGalChangedHerName · 16/08/2009 19:34

Aww a blue tracksuit, that's sweet lol.

Yes happy to have a gab anytime (you know me lol)

Give me a shout? I have a puppy i am housetraining atm so prob better if you came here?

Seona1973 · 16/08/2009 20:03

DD is going into P2 tomorrow and is excited to be meeting up with her classmates. I never bought M&S polo shirts this year as they are a bit on the small side - I bought a few logo-ed ones to tide her over as she will still get a few months wear out of last years ones. I will have to time manage in the morning for getting the 2 kids ready as well as the pack lunch and then remember to take the lunch bag and the school bag out with us!!

lilacclaire · 16/08/2009 20:13

My pfb ds is starting p1 tommorow, im a stressed to the hilt with it.
Glad im not the only one!

HaggisNeepsnTatties · 16/08/2009 20:16

You will be fine..tbh when dd1 started school I was so busy with the camera that I didnt have time to cry!! And she was so excited that I thought I would send the wrong signals!!

lilacclaire · 16/08/2009 20:25

I just worry that he'll be ok.
I know i'll love the freedom eventually, when I stop worrying anyhow!

aGalChangedHerName · 16/08/2009 20:30

Hey lilacclaire you never stop worrying!!

This is dc no3 and i am shitting myself I will just miss her once she goes. Once they get in the system they grow up soooo fast

lilacclaire · 16/08/2009 20:33

Fook, im definetly going to be one of those crying mums at the school, agghhh!

aGalChangedHerName · 16/08/2009 20:44

You have to cry only when your lo has gone in!! Then you can weep as much as you like ok?

I will weep too tbh.

sweetkitty · 16/08/2009 20:51

I will definitely be sobbing tomorrow, I was driving the DDs to nursery last school day and started crying thinking next time school goes in my baby will be there too

So they are all bathed, squeaky clean and in bed, she spent about half an hour tonight, opening and reopening her bag and pencil case and examining them bless her.

What has everyone else put in their bags? It's first day they are only there for just under 2 hours, just her pencil case and a yoghurt bar thing, I expect we will get some list or something tomorrow, don't know about water bottles etc.

weegiemum · 16/08/2009 20:52

Well I think I am ready. All organised, even remembered to get everything in for lunch.

Roll on 8.05 tomorrow when they are away on the bus!! Hooray!

(you can tell I've done this before, can't you? No new starts in our house). Dd2 is so excited about going back and being a 'big girl' (primary 2) that she can't sleep!

weegiemum · 16/08/2009 20:53

sweetkitty - last year our school provided everything like water bottles to the p1s (in Glasgow).

They should let you know what they need, but they don't really need very much!

bargainhuntingbetty · 16/08/2009 20:55

I was a complete wreck when my dd1 started p1. Now she is goin into p4 and I am a state again because that is the upper school and the next move from there is high school Funilly enough when dd2 went to school I was ok. She is going into P2 and I am not bothered., I am a terrible mum with a clear favourite child it seems lol. It is just that dd1 is my first (obviously) so when it comes to dd2 I have been there and dealt with it, I will hold your hand, where about in Scotland are you>

aGalChangedHerName · 16/08/2009 20:56

Am sending dd1 with snack and a drink for playtime and a pencil case and gym shoes.

HaggisNeepsnTatties · 16/08/2009 20:57

Weegiemum, you are right, they dont need much at all..........just a tight hug and a kiss before they leave you..

aGalChangedHerName · 16/08/2009 20:58

Ooh i'm in Livingston too Betty!!

bargainhuntingbetty · 16/08/2009 20:59

Oh hi Galchangedhername. Livingston is a big place but what school you at??

expatinscotland · 16/08/2009 21:00

Tuesday's our big day here and we're completely ready!

But this morning, DD1 came in and she'd lost her first milk tooth!

She's so proud of the gap in her teeth and it's our very first time playing tooth fairy and she's going to school, too?

I'm gonna be blubbing, too, sweetkitty.

If I weren't as old as I am, it would probably make me broody as well, especially as DS is now crawling around everywhere at warp speed.
