My ds is starting primary this September just found out there will be another child with same name.
I do not want ds to be called his name and then his surname initial!
Any other ideas anyone.
Thanks.

GOUDA MORNING ( as in VIETNAM....a la Robin Williams?)

What's the problem?

In dd1's class there are 2 girls with a very unusual name (I'd never heard of the name before), pronounced the same but spelt differently. None of the more 'common' names in the class are duplicated.

Tommy, my friend's little girl (3) calls me 'The Other Mummy'. I'm not yet scarred for life, but when my DD(3) and said small girl get together, I'm usually scared for life!

When my DD was in nursery, there was another child with the same name. Both girls were name and initial. DD was never worried about it and actually like having someone share her name.

At the school I work at now, there are 2 girls with the same name, they are known as Z 1 and Z 2. I'd prefer the initial of the surname to be honest.

The other option would be to use the middle name too.
