I thought I'd set up a new thread for those sitting 4+ in 2024 for September 2025 start date.

Any tips for prepping?

What schools are people considering?

Thanks for your response. My daughter has been put on waiting list but my dilemma my 30 days for another prep school is over this week so i an unsure as to weather the WL will be converted…I really loved StC and holding on hoping!

Congrats to you and your DD as well.
We will be going to the offer holders event this week and then decide.

My daughter got in form the waiting list last year. She is very happy at StC. From my understanding a lot of movement on the waiting list last year but not until the last day offer acceptance deadline! It worth calling and speaking to Jessica and explaining your situation she may be able to indicate where she is on the waiting list and that might help you decide. If she is higher up then most likely she will get an offer!

Do we think UCS will send offers today? It’s an anxious wait. Also anyone know of Hereward house is sending emails today?

DD recently went through the NLCS admissions process. She got to the second round but didn’t receive an offer. For future parents, here’s what we understood about the activities for September-borns (as described by a 4-year-old):

First Round (Group):

-Singing a nursery rhyme
-Drawing yourself and writing your name
-Drawing the spikes of a dragon

• Stick starts on a piece of paper

Second Round (1:1):

-Skip and hop exercises
-Playing with blocks
-Role play of a shop
-Guessing categories

The process was very well organised and smooth. My daughter wasn’t tutored, but attends a lovely, non-selective pre-prep.

Would you know how they determine where on waitlist girls are? By application dates? Scores?

My DD got through 3+ for St Helens and we will mostly be accepting the offer. Wanted to check here if anyone has feedback or opinion on the school?

FWIW know at least 3 spots at SHHS will open up (including ours), and at least 1 at NLCS maybe 2 or 3 depending on Habs and waiting on a 7+ result. Congrats to all who got offers!
For the waitlist, I'd recommend calling to just let them know your circumstances, how this is a priority for you etc - without being annoying. They don't give out the numbers on the waitlist, but think it's good to show them you're serious about it.

@Millz1983 same here. I only heard WL is moving faster than offer list as many people are declining WL and going with different options. So I guess stay patient and hopefully we both get in!
