Just feel it's been very quiet here this year on the 7+ exams and no thread has appeared wrt to those two schools.

Anyone out there also prepping?

One person mentioned it about a frd but I think she may have been confused. The guidance is very clear, letters will be sent 23rd nov. Thanks and good luck

Hi all and good luck to everyone, I know those days can be quite stressful. Last year Kings was by post only. Big letter meant good news :) crossing my fingers for everyone waiting

King's are sending emails today and 1 class post should arrive tomorrow.

Are they sending emails today? As the communication previously was that the final offer will only be sent out via post not email. It did not mention email communication

We received the rejection, Did anyone get any wait-listed offers? Ours is a complete rejection. Gutted. Congratulation to all who got offers.

@SevenPlusforFY22 so sorry to hear that. We haven’t sat anything yet but Habs coming soon and dreading the rejections. Are you sitting for any others? Keeping fingers crossed for you for those :-)

Sorry for replying so late. Went in to rejection zone. We are sitting for City and St Paul’s. Back to back on Friday and Saturday.

We got feedback from a feeder school to St Paul .
“ his English math etc are all fine , not lower than others . But he doesn’t move ( mingle ) . We feel he would be better off in a smaller setting . Our pace too overwhelming for him. Please no need to come back for 8+ unless u really really want .

this School has less than 400 kids .
his current school has 1500 kids .per Class 15 kids .
they don’t even think he will grow to be different at 8+ .
i am confused of what do they mean .

@Candyfloss2 ,I would say the prep school is saying take your ds out of the "established" prep school settings and send him to a small more home from home environment where every child is known to staff and they get to play in a sports team, have a speaking part in a school play, win school prizes etc. The confidence your child will gain will set them up for secondary school. Examples of prep schools like this are Weston Green in Thames Ditton and Westbury House in New Malden. Your dc needs time to grow as a person and make friendships so forget the academics for the next 4 years.
I'm not clear which school he currently attends but could he also stay there?

Some of the “group activities” and “free time” in these 7+ assessments are actually to assess social skills. So what they are saying is that’s the area he found tricky.

It might be worth talking to his current school to see how he’s really getting on in the playground/ sports and so on, whether they recognise what’s being said and if he’s getting the right support where he is.

Any intel on today’s CJS assessment? I won’t see DD to interrogate her until this evening! Hope all went well for everyone applying.
