Anybody taking the 7+ exam this year? I have noticed there isn't a thread on it this year. We are going to be trying for St Paul's and Kings. At the moment we are really struggling with the comprehension. Anybody else in the same boat?

Heard from others she would confirm with offer to some parents…

Do you mean she will give us the ranking if we get an offer or does she tell the ranking at the parents meeting in the second round?

@Shehr at the parents meeting they are telling how your boy did at the written exam and ranking.

Thank you Curiousma, I love how transparent St Paul’s is - they don’t try to hide the number of applicants or the ranking - everything which all parents wish to know!

I love how transparent St Paul’s is as well. But what I think is that even if you are within the first 54, it is not guarantee that you could get a final offer because interview plays a big role too. Doing writing and maths feels another written exam to me. ( This is all my opinion)

@Jesse21plus I don’t think you will get confirmation of an offer during the parents meeting. But @Bellaumbrealla wrote that she heard from others they was told. If so we are not in.

Curiousma, I spoke to Admissions lady at the parents meeting and she told me there won’t be any interviews as such. I imagined that maybe there’d be sort of “ice-breaking” activity where the kids are sharing info about their hobbies and interests. Interesting that some kids are still being interviewed.

@2minutesplease Do you mean 1:1 interview? Sorry I did not get it, what do you mean with there will not be any interview such? Could you please kindly explain me a bit more?

On a separate note,
Whatever the little ones tell us we know that not more than this and they are only 6-7. If everyone share their experience, their knowledge or what they heard from other parents instead of keeping to themselves:) So we can evaluate and understand better.

Curiousma, yes, this is what I meant - I asked the admissions secretary if the interview with kids will make part of round 2 and she said that there won’t be any interviews with kids.

Had our interview tomorrow. As @Curiousma said they had a math lesson with Mrs Shaw, then an English Lesson and group activities with 2 teachers. DS get exhausted after 3 hoursEnvy

Mrs Shaw provided with ranking, the interview was very short like only 5 mins, my mind was gone blank and was a bit confusing, but Mrs Shaw seemed rush to finish so I didn’t ask more…

If the ranking she said was 10, was it the ranking of places or the percentage in whole applicants which she mentioned was around 350…

Anyone can explain please?
