7+ exam

Anybody taking the 7+ exam this year? I have noticed there isn't a thread on it this year. We are going to be trying for St Paul's and Kings. At the moment we are really struggling with the comprehension. Anybody else in the same boat?

Is the the post coming today for everyone or just the successful candidates?

Same here. I’m wondering did they just send the offers yesterday, to other candidates maybe a bit later?

We called to Admissions, there is a voice Mail claiming that the postage may take longer than 1 day and so we don’t call them before Monday.

@Bellaumbrealla some boys also got rejections today so I don't think it's the case of sending offer letters first.

Yes, Some practise papers are unusually tricky especially newly published mocks.
I don’t think a 6-7 years old could do a question like D+J+F=W or 21C+5V=A.
I asked around and Current parents at St Paul’s think those questions are above the expectations.
I personally agree with @Shehr VR and NVR scores will be age standardised.

How did it go today for your DS?

@Shehr I can’t get any info from my DS this time. He just keeps saying it was ok. I think he got very tired.

Same for us. Couldn’t get much info out of DS. He seems to have left a few questions here and there though.

@muminwood Hearing from the friends lots of children couldn’t complete their maths paper or reasoning. Apparently maths was tricky.

I know that VR contained 80 questions and math was about 14 (mine didn’t do all). My DS said that NVR questions were all of the same type - complete the pattern. Sounds weird to me. And they had a little writing at the very end too!
