Well, I got my BFP on Friday morning and it is only just starting to sink in! According to my dates I am due 2nd Feb and I thought it would be nice to have a Feb babies thread, where we can all share our news/worries/excitement!

i went to the GP and she has referred me for a scan and to the clinic aswell so its all systems go here

mrswhisk sorry your GP made you feel bad i had a GP a while back who was like that with me when i had my 3rd MC and basically said to me that if i had an negative test after heavy bleeding, i must not have been pregnant in the first place i made a complaint about her treatment and moved GPs. the new GP checked my test results thoroughly and referred me on basis of these!!

i say book in to see a different GP...did he refer you for antenatal care?

hi all,

just wanted to say morning and share that I think I spotted a bit of blood this morning. Hoping I'm imagining it as it was so slight, but that's just wishful thinking. also got odd sensation in lower tummy, but then, have been getting different feelings in general. I can't take it again if something goes wrong..had mc equivalent of next week last time, and this is my first. I feel so upset.

Think I'll leave it for an hour and see if I notice any more blood. If I do, will see doc today, but there's not much they can do anyhow. sigh.

angels1 please try not to worry, a little spotting in early pregnancy can be very normal (when I had some on Saturday this is what my frantic googling discovered). Your doc may refer you for a reassurance scan at your local early pregnancy unit too.

I've got my viability scan at 1pm today. Please cross everything for me that things are as they should be, I'm 7+2 so there should be a visible heartbeat.

Just to report that in the last 3 hours not a sausage on the spotting front (probably not the right term!!), so am keeping fingers crossed and trying to relax.

I am 7 weeks pregnant! I have been feeling incredibly tired, sore boobs, the worst constipation ever, and horrible morning sickness.
I think I am slowly learning how to control the morning sickness but just when I thnik I have it mastered it throws me off again....
My due date is the 4 Feb!

banana - so so sorry to hear your news. I guess no words can make things feel any better so I'll just stick with the fact that you're in my thoughts and I hope you have a more positive experience next time.

As for me, I had to cancel my night shift last night due to nasty abdo cramps. I suffer with IBS so wondered if it was wind, when it didn't relieve and came back when I went to bed last night, it got me worried abit. Of course the husband is striaght on the net checking it out and sees that cramps in early pregnancy is common due to ligaments stretching etc. However, woke up again with cramps this morning tho not quite so bad Have just come back from the GP who advises me not to work tonight either but have referred me to the early pregnancy unit for an urgent scan. Hoping to hear back from them today so fingers crossed for me guys!

More symptoms for me, my gums were bleeding like crazy last night I got loads of nose bleeds last time too.

Afternoon ladies!

Today's development is sharp pain in abdomen when I sneeze, which is pretty frequently due to the crazy pollen count at the mo. Googling tells me lots of people have it and it's muscular and nothing to worry about, but it's still unpleasant and feels 'wrong'.

Anybody else had this?

deliaskis I've had that! I thought it was just me till I found a thread here on it a couple of days ago. I got it when laughing uncontrolably the other day too!

I too have itchy itchy eyes hazb2010. Haven't taken eye drops as not sure if can. I used to take a homeopathic med for hayfever too, but not sure if I can take this. I'm just avoiding everything at the minute 'just incase'!

btw - no more bleeding yet, so fingers crossed it was a one off nothingness.

HazB2010 I haven't been to docs for hay fever, as I don't normally take anything, and I know there's lots we can't take. There seems to be one product we can take but it says you need to take a lot for it to have any effect, erge...it's not very good and doesn't work!

Can't remember the name of it but I just googled hay fever in pregnancy.

deliaskis I too had this weird pain when I sneezed today, quite alarming at the time!

My hayfever is bad now, I have been using eye drops that I got from the pharmacy, which help with itchy eyes, but unfortunately do nothing for sneezing!

Try local honey (must be locally harvested, not mass produced or blended honey).

Apparently a teaspoon of this per day can help build up your resistance to allergies to local pollen. Also it's yummy! :-)

Good news for me - saw our little bean, heart beating strongly, and a new EDD of 10th Feb based on the measurements. So I'm 6+6 today. Feeling very relieved and grateful that all is as it should be, and that once a heartbeat is seen the risk of miscarriage goes right down.

Re hayfever, the tablets that I've been prescribed for my morning sickness are antihistimines (sp) and also stop my hayfever. Bonus. The NHS direct website has quite a long list of tablets you can take for hayfever when pg too.
