Hi everyone!

Well, I got my BFP on Friday morning and it is only just starting to sink in! According to my dates I am due 2nd Feb and I thought it would be nice to have a Feb babies thread, where we can all share our news/worries/excitement!

Cant wait to hear from you

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
girlinlondon · 18/06/2010 20:27

I'm due on the 1st Feb! morning sickness just kicked in to, was sick for first time today. Joy!

So hard to hide it as work. And suzym so hard to hide when going out.

Really nice to be able to talk about this with other people.

moocowmrs · 18/06/2010 21:09

I told mum dad and sister today, Dsis was speachless ! think she thought that as we had one of each that would be it ! mum overjoyed, she was very ill last year and now retired so something really positive to focus on ! Dad was secretly thrilled !

Telling inlaws tomorrow and then that is it.

Tried to do too much today and felt it by mid afternoon, so spent a good while sitting in the childrens pretend cafe !!

I have decided not to tell them yet they are so little and it is so far off they woldn't get it think tell them when had 20 week scan !

newdad75 · 18/06/2010 22:48

Mrsteapot here's hoping it ll goes well for you and Mr. T...

earlgreyismynectar · 19/06/2010 09:05

So many messages to catch up on

mrsteapot thinking of you, everything crossed. As others have said, could just be a case of wrong dates. Sending positive hugs and love x

sloathy so sorry to hear your news, hope to see you back on another months thread soon, love to you x

Feel sad after these sad messages, worry is the permanent bi-product of early pregnancy isn't it.. I worry when I feel symptom free. I'm week 6 and my main symptoms are tiredness, tender (& big) boobs - yes canoe I considered the bra at night myself. Also nausea but thankfully free of MS (but then I worry so no gain). Eating little and often helps keep queasiness at bay even though it's frequently the last thing I want. GinaFB I remember you queried your booking in appt with the midwife being 10 weeks and was that standard. I too was told I wouldn't be seen before 10 weeks, I took it as being standard NHS but it seems to depend on which postcode you are in. Mine is mid July and seems an eternity away! Sit tight and wait...

I'm loving reading everyone's posts, wishing you all well and lots of sunshine x

Pebblestone · 19/06/2010 10:09

Hi,

I have just realised that when I updated the list of everyone I may have got confused about what each bit means?

I put...Pebblestone #1 (28) 22 Feb

As in it's my first baby, I am 28 and I am due on 22 Feb. Is this right or have I had a blonde/pregnant moment?

I seem to be having quite a few of those at the moment

Honeywitch · 19/06/2010 11:19

Pebblestone, that's quite right.
Mrs Teapot - hugs and hope to see you on here in later weeks. Good luck for the 1st.
Sloathey - very sorry to hear your news; been through that too and it is very hard. Hugs.
debka - you made my morning! very funny!(though not for you, bless you!)

Lost a kitten last night, sadly, but all the other 7 are doing great. Really looking forward to them opening their eyes!

smallblackflowers · 19/06/2010 12:36

honeywitch sorry to hear about your kitten

I'm a bit worried as have had a small amount of brownish tinted CM this morning. Had a missed miscarriage a couple of years ago and this is how it started. Am still feeling sick / have sore nips though, so hopefully nothing to worry about. Only time will tell, and have a scan booked for wednesday.

Honeywitch · 19/06/2010 13:46

Fingers crossed for you smallblackflowers. Try and have some bedrest while you wait for the scan? Might help?

PDR · 19/06/2010 20:46

Fingers crossed smallblackflowers - they say feeling sick is a good sign

honeywitch sorry about the kitten. Hope the rest are doing well.

Nothing much happening here... no symptoms really which is worrying me slightly but no spotting or anything so that's good. My MC was at around 7 weeks so I'll feel much happier when I've passed that week!

Have been looking online at baby stuff... investigating double buggies... looking into childcare options etc! Need to calm down a bit in case something does happen!

Hope everyone's having a nice Saturday night!

KnitterNotTwitter · 19/06/2010 22:10

sloathy I'm so sad for you - stay safe

MrsT I've got everything crossed for you - if it's any help my sac grew from 3.5mm to 23mm in two weeks when I had my 5 and 7 week scans - they do loads of growing at that time...

suzym1984 yes my wee is a funny colour too - really bright yellow - I'd assumed it was the vitamins I'm taking...?

KnitterNotTwitter · 19/06/2010 22:14

oooh and welcome girlinlondon I'll add you to the stats in a moment but didn't know what child number this is for you, or your age....

Oh, I am so sorry to read such sad posts. MrsTeapot and Sloathy, my heart really does go out to you. I can not imagine for one minute what it must be like, it's something you never expect to happen to yourself I guess. You're both in my thoughts right now and MrsTeapot I wish you all the best for your next scan. I guess you're feeling in limbo given your latest news. If you had a definite answer maybe you'd cope a bit better??! Stay positive though if you can, as lulabel27 says, stress and worry can do more harm than good. Easier said than done no doubt!

I'm not sure whether to worry or not. Having never been pregnant before I have nothing to compare to but really this lack of symptoms is very unnerving esp when so many of you are complaining of ms! My boobs remain sore and heavy (I'm thinking now I might need to buy a new bra!) but that's about it! I have a GP appt Monday to confirm my pregnancy to him so fingers crossed all will be fine. By then I'll be 5+5!

Hope everyone else is enjoying the w.e and managing their ms ok, you poor things.

Love to all, xxx

Breezey · 20/06/2010 02:35

Hello,
just popped on and found this, I'm due 15 feb, havn't told anyone apart from DP. Last 2 occasions didn't see / tell any one untill 18 weeks, but as now 38 feel I should get scan & bloods well before then. Not sure what to do as work situation unstable, and have to see boss to get scan ... no other option available. No intention of telling DC for months, but had detailed questioning today from DS as to how babies got into mummies tummies !

smallblackflowers · 20/06/2010 07:00

Morning all and welcome and congratulations to the newbies

Some positive news from me - after the tiny bit of spotting yesterday morning my CM has been clear and colourless. In my previous experience once it had started it didn't stop, so am letting myself relax a bit and wait for my scan on Weds when all will be revealed.

suzym1984 · 20/06/2010 11:01

smallblackflowers That is excellent news, very happy for you x x

Pink10 · 20/06/2010 15:03

Sorry to hear sad news (hugs).

Lots of more people due in Feb!

I have an appointment with the Midwife the week after next (currently just over 5wks). Dr. said they scan at 10wks which I'm excited about

girlinlondon · 20/06/2010 16:22

Sorry Knitternottwitter, I am 31 and it is my first. Hence being new to this and getting my head round the site.

I'm the same tabbycat, think i need to by a new bra too already. Didn't realise I would need to so early on. Any advice from those that have had babies before? Is is to soon to go out and buy new bras?

Big hugs too to those with sad news.

Grannyapple · 20/06/2010 16:24

Hi folks

sorry to read some of the sad posts-so far, I think this early stage Is the most worrying.

That's good pink10-i have dr's appt tomorrow morning so hoping the scan times he tells me r the same as you-just want to get the reassurance at that stage as soon as possible mow!

On the plus side for me, got DH a wee father's day card & book on the next 9 months for men. He's now being fab, doing all the food shopping, cleaning & trying to work out how I can get more healthy stuff into my diet! it's sweet, but I fear he will drive me mad if like this all the way through...

tabby-good luck to u too for tomorrow x.

newdad75 · 20/06/2010 16:48

Hi Grannyapple what was the book you got for your fella?

tabbycat76 · 20/06/2010 16:53

I'm just wondering, on the bra front... you know how you get maternity trousers that you can extend with your growing bump, well why aren't there any bras out there that do the same. I mean, they're not cheap are they and as our boobs continue to grow, then I may as well take out shares in M+S! Wonder what the Dragons would think if I approached them with that idea?!?!? I'm sure Duncan Ballentine would say "I'm out"! haha

Yes grannyapple Dr's appt tomorrow. Hope yours goes well too. My appt is at 11am and am very interested to know at what gestation the scans are done in my area. Fingers crossed!

I bought my husband a day by day pregnancy book the day I found out, he has barely looked at it, I think I find it more interesting than him! As for your husband mollycoddling you grannyapple, lap it up. I'd love it! Atm, my husbands off work all 4 weeks of the world cup and I feel very lonely sometimes. It's not forever so it's ok but as for him fussing over me?!?!? Ha, chance would be a fine thing! Maybe when I have a bump to show or a scan picture to confirm. It's very hard to believe until you're visibaly showing or have had a scan to make it more real.

Fingers crossed for tomorrow!

Grannyapple · 20/06/2010 17:46

Hi newdad-the book was called 'pregnancy for men-the whole 9 months' by a mark wood. It's not too patronising & I wanted to get him something that wasn't like a medical text book, although he is one of those people who wants to know everything ( & he ain't going down the 'business end' when the time comes far too TMI from him I expect!). But no the book is good-lots of anecdotes from other dads. It's got a green/ turquoise cover-picked it up in waterstone's.

Got him involved, too help him feel part of the process-I am finding it frustrating thanks to no symptoms but the guys must find it even worse!

angels1 · 20/06/2010 20:22

Hi guys, hope you all hd a good week end. Symptom wise I am becoming obscenely hungry all the time - think it's the beginning of proper sickeness as if I don't eat literally every hour or so I start getting really sick feeling and dizzy/starving. Don't quite remember this last time, but since it's getting more significant over just 2 days at how bad I feel if/when I don't eat, I can only presume it's beginning of proper ms. Anyone else have/had this??

a
x

tabbycat76 · 20/06/2010 20:55

Aw Angles I really wish I could say yes I'm suffering with that too, and ms and tiredness etc etc but I'm really not. I'm really starting to worry now that apart from my sore boobs I have no symptoms! My luck is never so good that I'd be one of the ones who have an easy pregnancy surely!!!

sweetnitanitro · 20/06/2010 21:07

angels yes, I am getting really really hungry and at about 3pm I'm usually ready for a nap! My other main symptom is the worst wind known to mankind. I think DH is on the verge of retreating to the sofa and bizarrely I keep dropping things, I think this happened the first time around as well.
