I've just discovered I am 5.5 weeks pregnant.

In the last 2 years I have had 2 mcs and our dd2 was stillborn at term.

So I don't feel like I fit into the antenatal threads, and don't want to frighten anyone with my experiences.

Anyone else out there who needs a gentle thread?

Upside it they are sending me for more investigations in a few weeks when everything has settled down xx

woollyjo · 18/12/2009 21:22

Just checking in to see how everyone is doing.

Julez & Lunatic hope you are coping ok - have some mulled wine and a bit extra for those of us off the pop.

All fine here MW apt on Monday, I seem to get a bit anxious just before seeing the Dr or MW this time.

I've been listening to too many induction nightmare stories so although the MW managed to put my mind at rest last time (a month ago) I think she is going to have to do it again.

Ladies who have had several bubs already ... is it possible that I can feel baby already (14/15 weeks depending who's numbers you believe)or is is just wind (and there is plenty of that!). This is my 3rd pg at this stage and I'm not sure whether they are flutters or not.

Hope you are not all stuck in the snow (none here but vv cold).

Take carexx

Hey Woolly,
I have the same with my MW. She has to keep running me through the whole C section business as I am petrified...
Also, I thought I felt splodge move at about 12w little flutters, thought I was mad, spoke to MW and she said that she felt her 2nd at 12w. I am now just over 18w and get some properly good kicks as well as the pops and flutters.

Had MW today and am measuring big again.. 22w already, so I was not imagining that I look the size of a barn. Someone asked me yesterday if I had long left...
great...

otherwise all ok

OneBabyPlease · 19/12/2009 09:49

Hi all - 14 wks today - so pleased to have got this far. Felt definite flutters last night but surely it's too early to feel it if it's my first (not sure what difference that makes though?)- was totally convinced it was though.
We have got 6 property viewings lined up today as we live in the smallest flat ever & need to move before the baby (hopefully - still dare not believe it may happen!) arrives.
Hope everyone has a quiet weekend xx

Lunatic - glad you & Julez are looking after each other - hope the new year brings a successful BFP for you both. Pleased your body kicked in & no intervention was needed -a very rough time for you. In the meantime drink lots of lovely wine!

Put an offer in on a house yesterday!! First one was turned down, we upped it a bit & they're thinking about it! Should know on Monday! REALLY hope they say Yes - it's the best we can get in a lovely area & we can't really afford to go any higher - we've moved in in our heads already! Arrghh! The suspense is killing me! Let you know what happens.

Still got Xmas shopping to do which I just can't get motivated to do! Was really rough last night - being sick, headache, hot/cold etc - think it might be the result of my swine flu jab on Friday - anyone else experienced similar?

Hope everyone's ok xxx

winjy · 21/12/2009 15:02

hello everyone!

nausea now affecting my sleep..felt so sick last night i couldnt sleep and im feeling pretty much the same as im typing...but its a good sign right!!

got my first scan tomorrow il be 8+5 weeks so they should see heartbeat etc...hope its good news coz im gonna have a really shit xmas otherwise...

hope everyone else ok..this thread seems to have gone really quiet!!

woollyjo · 21/12/2009 19:06

Hi,

I think everyone is either busy with xmas or in that limbo when nothing much happens with their pg but our bellies growing!

I had my MW apt today (15+5) heard the heartbeat again, cried again - I wonder if this is going to happen all the way through ....

That's it for me until my next scan mid Jan.

DD's 3rd birthday tomorrow.

Did you get your offer accepted Onebaby?

Goodluck with the scan winjy.

Hi woollyjo, I just popped on here to see how you are doing. 15 weeks already?! Wow. Sending you much love xxx

mrsrvc · 21/12/2009 19:31

Hi All,
One baby - Hope you got the house!!!
Winjy - I've been awol as struggling a bit. Pleased to hear about the sickness . Good luck at the scan tomorrow.
Woolly, Glad you got to hear the HB again.

We went for our private anomoly scan today ( am only 18+4 but wanted to have some reassurance before christmas). All seems well with our splodge and it appears that we are joining team blue. So relieved. I know we still have a long way to go, but it feels somewhat of a landmark.

Hope you are all doing ok,
rx

OneBabyPlease · 22/12/2009 13:48

Hi all

Winjy - really hoping the scan was all good.

Woolly - glad you got the reassuring hearbeat - of course you're gonna blub at every milestone reached! Just roll with it!

Mrs - glad all's well with blue splodge!

Our offer on the house got rejected - they want £5000 more which we just don't have - gutted, it was perfect. Oh well, back to the drawing board! Will worry about it in the new year.
Took me 2.5 hrs to get home from work yesterday (usually half an hr) - the snow was horrendous & the roads were like a gridlocked ice rink so I took today off! Gave me a chance to get my Xmas shopping finished at least!

winjy · 22/12/2009 17:44

just an update on scan...everything was fine!! have dated me exactly 8 weeks so a few days out but hey...saw the heartbeat clear as day...was so amazing didnt realise the heartbeat would be so clear!! got a little pic of my bean..im over the moon!! xmas is going to be amazing
