Just thought I would share the final countdown with anyone out there going through the last few weeks of bump-dom.

Be so lovely if the baby came a bit early or at least on time (six days late with first).Want to wear fashionable clothes again, put my shoes on without getting so worn out I need a nap afterwards, painting my toenails, getting ready in the morning without it feeling like an Olympic event, walking like a regular person rather than like someone who has wet themselves!!
(this may become a reality if I dont do any pelvic floor exercises!)

Ha! Wont be long now, really want to use all the new baby stuff that is piling up.

Good luck to all of you and hope you enjoy the last few weeks of being able to sit down and rest legitimately

Not sure they will do the sweep now as I think my waters have gone!!! Had contractions again last night and this morning, although they have gone off a bit now. Waters have been trickling out since about 5.00am this morning, but when they checked at hospital they were not sure, so I am going back later for them to check. I am pretty sure they have though because it is exactly the same as last time. Feel really excited

Also, they did another growth scan because they were concerned about bump size again, but it all looks fine, they are expecting a 7 pounder, which is great!!! I will keep you updated.

ronshar · 07/10/2008 20:32

Woose have you had your baby yet?? Where are you. I hope it has all gone beautifully for you.

40+2. Boring.

nappyaddict · 08/10/2008 00:19

ronshar you need to get working on my list

ronshar · 08/10/2008 00:27

I may not need to try much more. I have my tens on!!!!

nappyaddict · 08/10/2008 00:37

oooh yay good luck. keep me informed! how far apart are contractions?

ronshar · 08/10/2008 00:44

About 5mins. Only started at 11pm! Just spoken to the hospital. No community midwife on duty so will not get a home birth. Bugger.

nappyaddict · 08/10/2008 00:55

oh might have a while yet then. you don't have to go in until they are about 2 minutes apart do you. unless it is very far away? how lon are they lasting? i think you can insist on a homebirth if you really want one. they can't force you to go to hospital.

ronshar · 08/10/2008 00:56

Dont fancy the paramedics looking at my fanjo

nappyaddict · 08/10/2008 01:00

are you booked in for a homebirth? if so they have to find you a midwife? look at this thread

purpleflower · 08/10/2008 01:10

Good Luck.

I gave birth with 2 paramedics watching. They got there to transfer me as I was crowning and asked DP if they could stay as 1 had never seen a birth before, at that point I really didn't care.

TheLemonyScentOfDoom · 08/10/2008 01:39

ronshar good luck with your labour and hope they can find you a mw so you can have your homebirth wish all goes well for you

ronshar · 10/10/2008 09:11

Morning ladies. Sorry I didnt get back to let you know how I got on.
Well I went in to hospital. 20 mins later William Dexter was born. There was Meconium in my waters so as it turned out I would have had to go in anyway! At least this way it wasnt in an ambulance with all the extra excitement.
We are both all ok and getting on brill.

Good luck to you all still waiting. I shall keep checking and cheering you on from the sidelines

frazzledbutcalm · 14/10/2008 15:02
