hi all,

hi goingfor3 - 1st week of school run with three has gone ok, even went swimming with Jak and dd straight after 9am drop-off, so I must be doing something right!

Minxi - in case you are lurking come and join us please (read about your scan on ttc page - glad it went well).

have any of you looked at the temp buds page recently? 6BFP's and the only other three currently all on 6DPO - how exciting.

greedy - sleeping for 5 hours solid would be bliss for me, Jak still on 4hourly feeds (sometimes less), but hope you have survived today on your lack of sleep!

ok will come back later...

MrsMcJnr · 04/09/2008 18:35

Hey ladies all good with us, Xavier is a little bit grumpy at the mo but I think that?s down to teeth. As its September DH is working afternoons again and in some ways, it?s nice to have an afternoon routine again.

Iammummy ? how is the TTC going? I?m still waiting for AF (or signs that she won?t be coming for a long while!) but nothing! glad to hear you had a good time with your Mum. LOL about the mess babies make when they eat, I sometimes sit back and think, how on earth am I going to get all that off him! Thanks for your support re my Mum, I know she is just worried about the financial climate but as you say, it?s not up to her and again, as you say, if we weren?t here, she?d have no say in it at all! How?s the diet going? Mine?s useless, too much eating and drinking out!

Chooster ? glad to hear Max?s infection is clearing up one more comment on the willy front, my Dad had to have that op at 30 because he got it caught in a zip (ouuuucccccccccccccch!) and they gave it to him in a jar!! (that was in Hong Kong!) sorry to hear about the rough patch with DH, how is business with him? Still doing ok? I wasn?t happy to hear that he hit you but I know enough about him to know that he won?t have meant to and was probably very upset about it afterwards, I know that?s not the point and people should learn to control their tempers (my Dad has always been a violent man) but we all have our faults don?t we. Sending you a big hug, not nice for you xx interesting that your PIL agree with you, I had just written ?would DH freak at the thought of counselling? (that awful film ?Anger Management? comes to mind?..!)? when I read that he?d been! Good for him

Firststar ? thanks for the advice hon appreciated. This is really stupid but my Mum is annoying me because she thinks she is psychic and keeps telling me I?ll only have one more baby when she knows full well that I?d like 3 more ? ggrrrrr! Hope you are having more ups than downs hon, anything we can help with? x

Ahh Fettle, how lovely! You must have been so proud! My nephew is starting school today; he looks sooo cute in his uniform! Toby sounds like a very busy little boy yes, interesting choice of music for a reception class!

Hey Goingfor3 Harvey sounds adorable! Glad to hear you?ve had a good summer.

Hey Greedy DH will have to treat you to some more diamonds to make up for those trips!! Very jealous of the 5lb lose; I lost 2 last week and then put one back on!

Yes, where are Bodders and Seaside???

Rainbowdays ? wow! That school run must make you wonder woman! must go and look at the temp buddies thread, how exciting!!!!

Minxi ? hello, hello! Would love to talk to you!

honeyapple · 05/09/2008 19:23

hi all
sorry havent posted for a while- keep coming on to try and catch up and then get called away mid-post...

goingfor3- BIG WAVE BACK! Harvey- lovely- yes do join us over here .

chooster- missed the willy talk- hope all ok- and also sorry to hear you having a bad patch with DP- we all go through them- and come out the other side. I think having kids makes everyone tired and grumpy and cross some of the time- both me and DP seem to be in a permanent daze of exhaustion at the moment . Hoping with kids vack to school I can get a bit of rest!! HA HA!!

greedy- HA! No ironing here either . DP does his own shirts- I did them once- but wasnt up to his standard- whoops... what a shame eh? Lakeside one day?

We've got a pond in garden which we want to get rid of- but DP has just found a load of newts in it which he thinks might be protected so we are going to have to do an undercover newt relocation mission... going to google them in a minute- DP reckons they might be great crested....

Dex moaning- need to get him in bed...

ta ra for now
x

greedygreedyguzzler · 06/09/2008 12:53

honey!!! you're not going to try and sell your newts on ebay are you?!!!

MrsMcJnr · 06/09/2008 15:05

Gosh Honey, I never knew that about Newts!!

fettle · 06/09/2008 15:51

Is it ever going to stop raining?!

xxx

honeyapple · 06/09/2008 23:03

dont worry- the newts appear to be regular boring ones- so i dont feel bad anymore about booting them out of my pond...

still raining...

fettle · 07/09/2008 12:03

Yeah - it has stopped raining....at least for now, here!

DH is up at wedding in Southern Scotland and the marquee was in the middle of a quagmire by the sounds of it by the end of the day - poor poor bride! but I think it was a good day despite the torrential rain. Really really missing him - I stayed home with the DC as we thought DD would be too tired after her first week of full-time school to be palmed off to a baby-sitter for the weekend, which she was!!! Had an OK weekend and done a lot, but we are all tired and Toby has had upset stomach and been sick twice last night - he's asleep now and has kept down water and toast for over 3 hours now, so really hoping it was a 24 hour bug - I hate sick!!!!

Honey - glad you're not evicting a rare species! Can completely understand you wanting to get rid of the pond though! How are you settling in? Any boxes still unpacked?!

Right - going to have a rest now - Toby sleeping, DD watching TV and I was up 4 times last night - bit of a shock as Toby has been sleeping through more often than not recently!

Hope everyone else is fine and dandy - anyone managed to persuade Minxi to come over and join us yet?

Take care all
xxx

babylove123 · 07/09/2008 13:16

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for all of your support and nice comments about our 4D scan - cant believe that was 10 days ago now!!! Scary!!! It was so amazing! I've ordered 3 of the pics to be printed in 7"x5" to go in a beautiful frame to go in her nursery. I also have ordered an A4 one of her to go in the lounge.....just waiting for them to come now!

Fettle - where are you if you dont mind me asking? You said Bristol wasnt far and it isnt for me either so i was interested as to which way you were from it? Glad your DD had a good 1st day at school - always good to hear they have settled in well! Lol at Toby finding his feet! Hope he is feeling better soon after his sickness

Iam - glad to hear Oscar is feeding again now, Guess you'll be in Tesco's with a trolley full of babywipes!

Chooster - I'm not laughing about the willy situation but i did chuckle about you feeling strange talking at the FIL willy! Sorry to hear you had probs with your DH - not good. I'm happy to hear he has recognised a problem though and is doing something about it - very mature!

Greedy - I bet its horrible with DH working away - cant imagine it myself - think you're very good!

Mrsmc - any af signs?! Do you mind me asking how old you are? Sorry if thats rude! Wow you for wanting 3 more - go for it! You only live once and cant live your life the way others want you to! No one was ever "judgemental" on us for choosing to start our family but it was hard when ppl werent too excited like we'd imagined.....however now they've seen scans and pics of her.....you'd never know they'd been down on it in the first place! Some dont come round - my cousins are very unsupportive but we're happy so we just rub their noses in it, lol.

Honey - Lucky you having the boring newts, my mum and dad have the crested ones and even the local council got involved and check on them! They dont do much for us humans but hey - as long as the newts are ok, thats what matters!!!

Right, best get on......have been very stupidly bidding on things on Ebay and unfortunately i won them so now i have to pay for them, lol! i think i forget sometimes that it is all very well bidding on bits for the baby but then i have to part with money, lol!

Bodkin · 08/09/2008 21:16

Sorry I've been AWOL for so long guys - no excuses really, just busy busy busy as ever.

Had a quick read through - Chooster sorry to hear about you and DHs rough patch - glad he is taking steps to fix things though.

Fettle and Greedy - hope you can catch up on some sleep tonight - sounds like you have both had a couple of rough nights.

Honey - shame you have to relocate the newts - have you identified a suitable new home for them?

Mrs - wow, if you were pg this month, what would the age gap between DCs be?

Babylove - Ebay is dangerously addictive isn't it! I've got a load of stuff to sell on there, but never seem to get round to doing it!

Firsty - how's Norman these days? How are you?

ERm, hello everyone else, sorry, brain gone blank.

Everything ticking along here, had a couple of weddings to go to which were fun, and my Mum had Isla for the day (which was the first time we had left her with anyone for that long) and it was a great success - she even got ehr to bed without any trouble, so that feels like we have turned a real corner there. DD1 has started school... seems to be going ok, a few tears (mine) and a few strops (hers) but otherwise ok

MrsMcJnr · 08/09/2008 22:33

Hey ladies looks like it might rain here tomorrow. I know that?s nothing to you lot (so sorry it?s been so bad for you this summer ) but we haven?t had a drop since we arrived here at the end of May.

Sorry to hear that you missed DH whilst he was at that wedding Fettle How is DD liking school??!! My nephew starts on Friday and is really excited! hope Toby is better now

Babylove ? no sign of AF yet I?m 34 and 8/12s! those photos you?ve ordered will be lovely

Chooster back on the willy chat, my youngest nephew (2 ½) seems to have an obsession with sticking his into things, I caught him trying to stick it in my parents garden hose and into Xavier?s plastic bricks and cups (now they are in the dishwasher!!) very odd! They?ve been over here for 4 days and it?s lovely to spend time with them all

Bodkin ? nice to hear from you hon if I got pregnant this month, the age gap would be 16 months ? perfect glad life is settling down for you and that your DDs are happy

iamamummy · 09/09/2008 08:24

babylove - im sure your pictures will look fab in the nursery!

mrs - i hope af or a bfp arrives for you soon so you know where you are at with your body. do you feel ok about having a baby in spain? i dont really know how the maternity system works over there is it pretty much the same as here? diet is useless this end, i am offically back to where i first started weeks ago.hows yours going? how many teeth has xavier got now? does he chew food ok? i have been giving oscar lumps and he tries his best to chew but just cant bless him as he is still a gummy baby. but i cannot believe the amount he eats - he finishes his food and screams for more. i dont know how it all fits into his tiny tummy. he has 3 meals a day with pudding after 2 of them plus 4 6oz bottles and snacks in between

goingfor3 · 09/09/2008 10:49

Rainbowdays Very impressed you managed to go swimming with two. I don't really have tie to do much as dd2 is at preschool until Jan so between the pick up and drop offs there's not much toime to go anywhere. Would love to take ds swimming but last time dp took the girls Harvey had a cold so him and I stayed at home.

MrsMc Four kids would be fab!!! We've out grown our house with three so don't think we'll have anymore. I really hope you get some good news soon.

Honeyapple Hope you had fun catching the newts!

Harvey was feeding all day yesterday and the night before that so much be having a growth spurt. Thankfully he's asleep now so hopefully he isn't going to feed as much today especially as he has started biting which even without teeth is really painful!

greedygreedyguzzler · 09/09/2008 13:30

only got a couple of mins between paients.............to say..........

mrs!!! did you never do fractions at school!!! 8/12 indeed! 2/3!!! and my friend had a baby in spain and said that nearly everyone has an epidural and they all thought she was amazing in the hospital cos she was determined to give birth without having one! is that true?

one of my friends had a baby girl 3 days ago. cant wait to go and visit!

feel very excited that marcy is nearly one! cant believe how fast this year has whizzed by! my sister would have been due on 1st oct, so im very sad she isnt pg again yet, but it just doesnt seem to be happening for them at the moment.

bugger! got to go!

minxi · 09/09/2008 13:38

Hello all...
Have finally had results of blood screening tests to go with scan and downs is 1 in 3500 so I can finally relax and say hello and I am offically a graduate of ttc... So far so good - am now 13 weeks and have lost half a stone and no sign of a bump yet - (definitely another boy then!!) although have had headaches this time so never know (will have to find out as can't bare surprises although Dh doesn't want to know)

Anyway MrsM lovely that you are back in touch - and Xavier sounds adorable... Where abouts in Spain are you ? We have a place beind Rio Real golf course and I was there for 6 weeks of the summer with my 2, friends and DH spradic visits - it was glorious especially considering the weather back here!! Wont be back out to Spain until end May half term now as LO due 19 March - which I shall probably have to opt for a c-sec again so 10 - 14 days before that....
Hope trying for another one so soon is successful - and if so perhaps a meet up next May or summer might be possible

Greedy LOL with your different diets..especially grapefruit positively yuk after one! Hope all well with you....

Iam hope Oscar enjoys swimming lesson today - my two have always loved water and my 5 year old is a better swimmer than me! Think they get too many holidays in the pool! Keep going with the diet - its very hard to say the least and the best way is to exercise which is all very well with a young baby... I always managed to lose my weight quite quickly only to put it back on and more 6 minths later when I felt I could relax

Fettle glad you are enjoying being a SAHM, no more to plan after just two ? Hope your DD is enjoying being at school full time - time does fly too fast.

rainbowdays Hope it is all going well with you
ooh sorry must dash as supposed to be at meeting at 2 and its rainging and going to take me probably half and hour to get there...byee catch up more later....x

iamamummy · 09/09/2008 15:46

afternoon ladies

oscar absolutely LOVED swimming, ducking under the water, splashing and singing it was great fun! for oscar of course he is a real water baby just tired himself out a little towards the end.

minxi - thats great news about your bloods your 13 weeks already! how old are your other 2 children? im assuming they are boys i cant remember but was it you that rents your spanish apt out? we are looking for a place for next year, been looking at santa polla. its the relaxing part thats made my weight stack on! after oscar was born i was lighter than what i was pre-preg but being on mat leave and just generally enjoying being at home i have put on a stone

i guess i had better go put dinner on.... bye bye xx

rainbowdays · 10/09/2008 21:54

Minxi - hi and great that you are finally officially graduated !!!! I have been keeping an eye on the temp buds board, it is so exciting there at the moment, with yet another bfp there this morning.... Just frustrated that we have to wait for LondonLottie to come back from hols before we know if she is joining here soon too! How are you feeling, are you starting to bloom now?

iam - great that oscar loved his swimming.

Got to go put jak to bed now, hi to all.

iamamummy · 10/09/2008 23:40

fettle · 12/09/2008 10:00

Hellllloooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All well here - just very busy not working!!! Never thought it was this much hardwork being a SAHM!!!! Walking everywhere so taking life much more at a leisurely pace, but my days fill up so quickly not doing very much! Nto missing work, just the money and the company!

anyway, off to the library now with my cheeky monkey.

Hope everyone is doing ok?

BTW my friend who had the stillbirth in April has had her 12 week scan and all is ok so far - so lots of finger crossing for an easy quick next 6 months.

honey - how is your friend getting on? Is her daughter out of SCBU yet? Probably has been for weeks, not quite sure where time goes now!

Minxi - great to see you here. No plans for a 3rd just at the moment. DH says definitely not and I don't want one now really - but I am sad to think that I won'#t be pg or breastfeed again

Riught - really must go - Toby getting impatient!!

xxx

honeyapple · 12/09/2008 12:26

hiya

fettle- yup my friends baby is home now- she is 6wks old (although only just reached her official due date). My friend is doing great- she has had an official 'all clear' from her surgeon- just now has to have radiotherapy. Her baby was getting EBM from hospital but now she is home she doesnt get it- so I have suggested I try to express some for her- not sure whether much will happen as Dex not feeding off me much now- hoping that by expressing regularly it will kickstart my milk production again- really want to do it as it will help to lessen my friend's heartache at not being able to BF herself. Another thing not to worry about should help her recovery. So fingers crossed it works- she is sending me a superduper electric expressing machine... watch this space...

Minxi- congrats on 13wk milestone .

x

fettle · 12/09/2008 14:32

Honey - what a wonderful thing to be doing for your friend! How is the transfer going to work? I assume she lives close by you? I so hope it works!
I've not fed Toby for 2 weeks now, he was feeding for longer and longer in the evenings and I felt he probably wasn't getting that much. Now he's taking a bottle he downs that in mins!! But i really miss it - ANYWAY, point of story was that I dreamt last night that I suddenly started spraying breast-milk out, so hopefully that is a good omen for you!

xxx

honeyapple · 12/09/2008 20:14

Hi fettle- thanks for the positive vibes- my friend is coming over tommorrow so we can work out what we will do. I think I will have to freeze the milk? She lives about 40mins drive away- so not too far (but not exactly close unfortunately). Dex still enjoys BF but when he is really hungry he seems to get a bit cross with my offerings- so then he has a bottle of formula which fills him up better. He likes BF mainly for comfort and closeness and if he is sleepy.
Will let you know how it goes.

Bodkin · 14/09/2008 22:09

Honey - that's such an amazing thing to do for your friend - and I'm so glad to hear both mum and baby are doing well.

Fettle - great news on your friend's scan too... I must have missed that she was pregnant again. Hope the next 6 months flies by for her. My friend who's due date was 4 days after mine but who lost her baby at 13 weeks is also pregnant again. I hadn't seen her for ages...and I felt really awkward seeing her especially with Isla in tow. But she's 30 weeks and looking blooming. She's had every test under the sun (genetic problems which is why she keeps miscarrying) but it is all looking fine, so I'm really thrilled for her. She has a 3yo DD already.

Hi everyone else!!!
