Oh my god. Just had a conversation with my mother about induction and how long I could be in hospital.

Was trying to work out if she could take one or two days off work to look after DS.

Aargh.

If she says:

----"you are joking"
----"well I thought it should be quick"
----"you are joking"
----"well my second labour was ..."
----"you are joking"
----"I'm sure you'll have it by..."
----"you are joking"
----"well i had planned to go out Saturday night"

...or basically anything at all, I am going to kill her.

It might be better if I just kill her now so I don't have to get even more angry.

springerspaniel · 16/07/2008 18:44

Crossposted F&Z. I feel the same about walking around. Last time I did loads of walking but am just f*cking knackered this time.

springerspaniel · 16/07/2008 19:39

Just realised that the conversation with my mother was doomed from the start. Remembered that she started it with "Ooh, I thought you were ringing to say you were in labour."

I should have just hung up at the point.

springerspaniel · 16/07/2008 19:39

Jesus - I am still angry about it one hour later. I have clearly lost all sense of rational and reasonable behaviour.

...maybe this is a sign labour is coming.

FrannyandZooey · 16/07/2008 19:44

Oh springer
I think you might be getting closer
yes conversations with one's mother MUST BE AVOIDED
remember the prayer from earlier

"Grant me the serenity to accept what I cannot change
the courage to change what I cannot accept
and the wisdom to hide the bodies of those I had to kill today because they got on my nerves"

If you wake up with no baby and no action I will come round with my garden shears and we will just snip you open and get it out

glasgowgal · 16/07/2008 20:16

Don't usually say very much but have looked at this thread a couple of times recently and came back tonight to see what had happened. I am unreasonably excited. You would think I was having the baby. Will be checking in regularly to see how you are doing! Good luck!

star6 · 16/07/2008 20:18

lol
I just read the last few pages of today's conversation on this thread and jumped up and said to DH, all excited, "I think frannyandzooey is going to have her baby tonight!!!!" forgetting that he's not really a part of hte mn world... he said, "who is THAT? Is that her full name?" ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!

fryalot · 16/07/2008 20:18

it's better than coronation street, isn't it, glasgowgal?

franny, I have to switch the computer off now. If you haven't had the baby by the time I switch it on again in the morning, I shall eat my hat
