Found out recently I’m pregnant with baby number 3 😍. I’ve worked out my due date as early May 2027. Anyone else? It would be nice to have a support thread going. They’ll be quite a big gap between my two kids and baby, I feel like I’ve forgotten everything 🤦🏼‍♀️

Hi! 👋 Just found out about DC3 🤯

The first 2 days after I tested I felt really rough, headache, nausea, sick, tiredness. It’s faded a lot now though and just have low level food aversion, morning nausea and early bed time.

Plus mini panic attacks, less of a symptom and more fear about what my parents and in-laws will think/say, what my 4yo & 6yo will materially and emotionally go without due to this baby, what could go wrong with pregnancy/birth/growth due to being older this time round (38), how it will affect mine and DH relationship which suffered a lot with the first two, how hard it will be to go back to never being alone or sleeping through the night…

I started a great new job this month too which I don’t see how I can hang on to. It wasn’t a contraceptive failure either, just one crazy moment after lots of chat about how we’d be open to a third but stupidly I didn’t expect to get pregnant straight away. DH is over the moon and dopey about it.

Congrats to everyone else and sorry to bring the mopey vibes, just needed somewhere to vent.

5+1 today and the nausea and food aversion has hit. Send help and salted pretzels. That is apparently the only food that the thought of doesn't make me gag.

Plumchumm · 09/09/2026 17:20

Hi everyone is it ok if I join? Got a faint positive yesterday, not entirely sure when I ovulated but I think it was 13dpo. Was worried it was faint but got stronger in evening. 1-2 weeks on digital

I’m due 19th of May and have my booking appointment set up. I’ve had an ectopic before so just hoping and praying all is healthy. This would be my first x

Silverglass · 09/09/2026 19:15

Also had a faint positive yesterday and tentatively joining, although not counting myself in until my test gets solidly darker.

wonder if they’d let me schedule my induction to be Star Wars day 😂

Heartofhope · 09/09/2026 19:36

Hi everyone! And congratulations to you all ♥️ I found out yesterday I’m pregnant after 19 months of trying and 2 losses (I’m 38). So happy but so anxious, pregnancy after loss is tough! So grateful and trying to stay positive. Think I’m due 17th May. Really want to book a private reassurance scan, my partner isn’t keen because that’s when we found out something was wrong before. I’m sure I’ll be able to convince him! My boobs are agonyyyy and I’m tired in the afternoons, hope we can all enjoy this journey together 🥹♥️ x

jg09x · 09/09/2026 19:39

Congratulations @Heartofhope ❤️ I’m the exact same tired in the afternoons the last few days which have required a nap lol. I’m also in the same boat with my partner not keen on a private reassurance scan but I’m sure I can convince him too x

Heartofhope · 09/09/2026 19:43

@jg09x congratulations! For all we have to do in pregnancy and birth you think they could just agree 😂 xx

TTCno1in23 · 09/09/2026 20:25

Congratulations to all new joiners! I have twisted my husbands arm on an early scan tonight after mentioning chat gpt told me if you see a heart beat on an early scan the miscarriage probability is a lot smaller! Pregnancy after a loss is so anxiety inducing!!

ByKindOpalPoet · 09/09/2026 20:40

Hi all,

Joining as got a positive on ultra early clear blue.

Due date approx May 23rd. This will be DC2 already have DD1 who is 8 next month.

MayBeeMummy · 09/09/2026 20:48

Congratulations to all the new mummies to be!

Are there any early May due dates without any symptoms yet? I was extremely tired and had very slight nausea / went off my food for a few days but now I feel totally ‘normal’. Just wondering if anyone else had something similar? FTM and a bit worried!

FolkSongSweet · 09/09/2026 20:48

Hello, posting slightly in disbelief as I’m 39, one slightly risky shag while on holiday and boom. My kids are 5 and 8 and I conceived both of them while on an immune protocol that involved taking steroids from ovulation, due to an aggressive immune response (had recurrent early mcs before that), which I obviously wasn’t on this time. I’m 14dpo today and managed to get hold of the meds but not holding out much hope as worried it’s too late. As a result, haven’t even told my husband yet. I’ll be booking an early scan for 6 weeks but wish me luck!

In the very unlikely event this one works out the due date would be 18 May. My eldest is a May baby and it is a lovely time of year to have a newborn. Congratulations to all.

Heartofhope · 09/09/2026 21:03

Aw I hope it works out @FolkSongSweet and you get a wee holiday miracle! 🤞🏼

@TTCno1in23 very anxiety inducing, I actually have dread every time I have to wipe when I pee then squeeze my boobs wondering if they’re still as sore (though I’m aware this is a useless ‘test’)!!

here’s hoping we all get our happy, healthy May babies 🤞🏼♥️

TTCno1in23 · 09/09/2026 22:00

@MayBeeMummy with my first pregnancy I had very little symptoms and all was fine!!

Lookingforhope26 · 10/09/2026 03:50

I’ve been terrified to post on here since my first post - I’m 6 weeks tomorrow but don’t feel pregnant at all, and that terrifies me, as had missed miscarriage in January. I’m tired, but that’s about it.

terrified as had milky discharge but now it’s stopped for a week. I felt sick for 3 days after positive but not since, only the odd low level pang of nausea, not every day. I’m so scared.

Moominmamato3 · 10/09/2026 08:56

@MayBeeMummy ~ apart from being a little more tired I have no real nausea, bloating, smell aversions etc. Like you say feel very normal and was starting to panic a bit. But my scan yesterday showed everything was progressing nicely and as it should be.

Easier said than done but try not to worry. It may all hit you next week or you may feel fine the whole way through x

FolkSongSweet · 10/09/2026 09:02

@Lookingforhope26 i don’t think pregnancy sickness kicks in until 6-7 weeks for most people so I don’t think you need to worry. I didn’t even have any at all with my DC1 - felt great throughout!

These are my tests from 11 dpo and then today, 15dpo - how do they look to people? Weirdly the one from today the line doesn’t go all the way to the bottom, but assume that’s an issue with the test?

Any Mumma’s due in May 2027?
Plumchumm · 10/09/2026 09:14

@FolkSongSweet looks really good! And yeah the tests just do that sometimes, I use the boots ones for progression as well

that’s EPU just booked in my early scan for when I’m 6 weeks, to check baby in the right place as I’ve had an ectopic before. Fingers crossed x

laesosalt · 10/09/2026 09:20

Anyone wake up feeling hungover without the self inflicting part?! Sore head, feeling sick and dizzy. Not fun on the school and nursery run 🤪

TTCno1in23 · 10/09/2026 09:35

I’ve just chased up my referral as I’m 7 weeks tomorrow to be told there’s been loads recently so I’m on a waiting list - no indication of when I’ll be seen! Not filling me with confidence hah

TTCFTM2026 · 10/09/2026 09:46

Congratulations all!

Got my BFP today!! 12 DPO. I'm 3w+4, think due date roughly 23rd May.

Have already completed self referral and booked an early scan for 6w+4. I'm quite an anxious person so the (hopefully!) reassurance at that stage will be very appreciated.

jg09x · 10/09/2026 09:47

Congratulations @TTCFTM2026im due roughly the 22nd of May so similar to you x

Aww. I don’t want to derail your thread but it caught my eye as I joined Mumsnet 20 years ago this month to join a ‘due in May 2007’ thread.
My May baby is now 19, at Uni and she has been and still is, one of the joys of my life.
May is a lovely time to have a baby. I wish I could go back in time just for a day or two to have a few hours of those early years again.
Enjoy your thread-I’m still real life friends with some of the women off ours. We used to measure our bumps with toilet roll every Tuesday as I recall and get excited when we went up half a square :).

Wishing you all the luck and happy and healthy babies next May x

This is a sweet message. Thank you.

I remember having bad nausea with my first, and when I was last pregnant I felt sick up until around 2 weeks before MMC… I know every pregnancy is different but everything just worries me. Just trying to me positive!
