Found out recently I’m pregnant with baby number 3 😍. I’ve worked out my due date as early May 2027. Anyone else? It would be nice to have a support thread going. They’ll be quite a big gap between my two kids and baby, I feel like I’ve forgotten everything 🤦🏼‍♀️

Congratulations and welcome to all the new joiners. I’m soo on the salt and vinegar crisps wagon - this I remember from last time. I’ve just had my booking in appointment through and it says it will be 90mins? Is that right? Do you bring DP along to this one??

MummaAgain2026 · 02/09/2026 18:51

The nausea has really hit me today 🤢 5+3. @Molly2008 I’ve been working my way through a jar of pickled onions, they’re really hitting the spot. Oh interesting, they haven’t stated the duration on my letter, but tbf mine doesn’t even say what it’s for. Just says an appointment had been arranged for you to see a member of the midwifery team and states the date and time x

@Goingtobeafirsttimemum I’d say those are really common symptoms my luv and it’s not a silly question at all. I’m questioning some of my symptoms and wondering if they’re normal too. Congratulations darling and welcome.

@Moominmamato3 I can also confirm, my energy has also started to slowly decline. Wish I had of capitalised on it more 😂 x

@Molly2008 I doubt it will take that long, but they do cover all family history, your health & do a blood test. I’d recommend going alone - v boring for partners!

Molly2008 · 02/09/2026 19:52

@TTCno1in23 thanks for the tip… I didn’t think it could possibly take that long.

Mine says 90 minutes too! I’ve filled out the whole pre appointment questionnaire and a friend is about 8 weeks ahead of me and said there is a system issue in our area at the minute so they had to go through the whole thing again!

When do people start telling family? I want to share with mine and DPs mum but worried we will get their hopes up and I’m worrying it might just be a chemical pregnancy and it’s not real 😢 is this normal?

NEMamato5 · 02/09/2026 20:30

Tbh it doesn’t usually take an hour and a half especially not if it’s your first baby or if you had your previous child in the same hospital as most of the details will be on the system. It may take longer if you would need a consultant or referrals to any specialist teams but they can do most of this after your appointment, they will take your bloods so try and eat something and drink plenty of water before you go. They will ask for a urine sample too and they will check your blood pressure and carbon monoxide levels. They should give you some pregnancy vitamins and information via leaflets as well for antenatal classes etc. I’m a community midwife so feel free to ask me anything that you need x

After numerous positive tests ive had some dark brown blood. Seems to have stopped now but im guessing this means this is a CP

Same happened to me yesterday and unfortunately for me, the GP said that the urine test she did was now showing a faint positive so not looking good :( my husband and I are devastated. Been trying for over a year and sudden surgery last year put a spanner in the works. Last week we were so happy and now so sad. Hope your situation stays positive Hun

NEMamato5 · 03/09/2026 07:11

@Maybabe256 do you have any pain alongside the bleeding? Brown blood is old blood so it’s not always a bad sign and it’s good that it has stopped, you could try giving the early pregnancy unit a call and they can arrange a scan. @OneEdgyTraybake im so sorry to hear the test has got lighter, did they also check with your first morning urine? Keeping everything crossed for both of you 🤞🏼 🍀 xx

Maybabe256 · 03/09/2026 07:50

Thanks @NEMamato5 and @OneEdgyTraybake. And im so sorry to hear youve been through the same @OneEdgyTraybake. Unfortunately ive had a lot more bleeding. Im absolutely gutted 😞

Thanks for the kind words. No, it was just once yesterday evening. No more bleeding really and tests still showing positive so it's just a waiting game to see the line fade and know it's all over :( but I've made an appointment with GP for Monday to do another test and understand how to get from this to trying again. Best wishes for the rest of you still on your journey to Motherhood and new babies :)

@Maybabe256 sorry to hear this 😟 @OneEdgyTraybake if the bleeding has stopped you might be ok! A small bleed is totally normal - how far along are you?

I thought that too until the GP said the urine test she did on me had a faint positive. Said it was not looking good and 90% likely miscarriage/CP

I also have some brown discharge, it seems to have stayed the same and pregnancy tests are still positive. I've heard that some darker blood can happen sometimes. Keeping an eye on it and hoping for the best.

Hello all, I’ve just found out I’m pregnant today and haven’t told a soul yet so need to get it out somewhere! Planning on telling dp later but trying to think of a better way than with our first which I just blurted at him. I’m over 40 so also feeling quite cautious about the chances of it progressing.

Pip1402 · 04/09/2026 19:08

@OnePoisedHazelPombearJust read back and saw your message about the guilt for the first child. I only found out about the pregnancy today and I’m already worrying about this!

Just over 5 weeks. It's the not knowing if I'm still pregnant or not that is driving me crazy. When the doctor says it's 90% likely to be non viable, but you barely bled and tests are still positive, I don't know what I'm supposed to do if nothing has been confirmed

What tests did you GP do @OneEdgyTraybake. Did they let you know what tests they would be doing on Monday? I’ve got everything crossed for you and hopefully they can get you to the right department that can provide the answers xx

I’m due 7th May :) first baby and I’m 33

LuluGilmore · 05/09/2026 15:20

5 weeks today, some light brown spotting but very light and still have a positive pregnancy test so hopefully it'll be ok. First appointment is going to be the start of next month so I think I'll get a private scan at maybe 7 weeks or so would be good to know what's going on in there. Been trying a while so a bit anxious about it.
Symptoms are just feeling super tired and a superhero like sense of smell.

Moominmamato3 · 05/09/2026 19:40

I had a little bit of bright red bleeding on Thursday morning but thankfully none since, I’m just hoping everything looks ok on Tuesday at the scan. I’ll be exactly 6 weeks at that point.

Beautifulnectarine1992 · 06/09/2026 14:29

Found out this week I’m expecting in may 2027.. I miscarried in may of this year so praying things will go ok for me xxx
