Hey, anyone else due July 2026? I got my first faint positive at 10dpo on Thursday 23rd October, I’m now 14dpo/4 weeks pregnant. Feeling nervous as still very early my period was due tomorrow. I’ve booked an early scan for in a few weeks so hopefully everything is all good, now just an anxious wait

In case it helps anyone worried about dates of appointments, I’m having both my first midwife appt and 12 week scan at 14 +3 and +4 respectively as I am not in the country until then (yep, poor planning our side!). I had a private scan at 7+4 which was great, and symptoms still here so while I would have preferred to have testing etc by 12 weeks we are where we are and I’ll likely organise a private NIPT for as soon as we are home.

blossomhoney2 · 02/12/2025 09:44

@souiiisorry to hear this, I believe this can be quite normal, so try not to worry too much. Maybe best to give your midwife/gp a call for reassurance?

Has anyone got a nipt test scheduled soon? I’ve got one coming up on 11th December which I’m paying for privately. With the test I’m planning to find out the gender.. anyone waiting and keeping it a surprise? I think it would stress me out not knowing and having to decide on names for both a boy and girl so I’d prefer to know in advance. I like to plan ahead 😊

I have private nipt booked for 8th December, also planning to find out the gender, i feel like I can't plan or buy anything until I know!

How is everyone feeling?

Currently 7+2
The nausea feeling has really ramped up for me! Had some retching but not yet been sick (I can imagine it will be soon though!).

Really been struggling to sleep - I’m putting it down to a mixture of pregnancy nerves and nausea.

Desperate for a scan to see what’s going on in there, but it seems too soon. Booking appointment is in two weeks (so I’ll be 9 weeks). No scan date yet, but tempted to get a private scan at 9 weeks.

Difficult looking after my LO while feeling so ill 🫩

Doodlestar · 03/12/2025 14:37

Sorry you are struggling @Tinytotdriver šŸ˜”

I thought I had proper sickness at the weekend but now I think it was a bit of a tummy bug, thankfully it passed quickly. Definitely in a pattern of feeling increasingly queasy/yuck as the day goes on, and needing to snack to relieve it. Also not feeling like exercising, have barely been outside for days, so I'm not feeling too good in myself at all!

I'm thinking I'll try to get a flu jab early, I will be offered it at my scan which I assume will be January but I think I'll try to get it at a chemist soon even if privately.

I've booked an early scan for 13th when I'll be 7+6. Xmas lunch out with friends later that day so I won't do a big announcement but I'll feel better just telling them rather than carrying on the pretence that I've suddenly gone off wine 🤣

Limmers14 · 03/12/2025 14:49

Sorry to hear you’re feeling sick @Tinytotdriver This is my first pregnancy and honestly don’t know how mums of young kids do it, I’m struggling just with work.

@Doodlestar I’m also struggling to muster up the energy to work out. I’ve done a few runs and one circuits workout since I found out. I’ve also been doing some gentle yoga on YouTube - that’s been a bit easier to accomplish!

I'm 7+1 today, only just found out as I had a scan at the EPU today (to date me as I'm still breastfeeding my 14mo and proper periods hadn't started yet!
I feel sick all day pretty much unless I eat, but I feel sick so don't want to eat...
I had the same with my LO and was only actually sick once, just the nausea for 16 weeks - fun!

Juicytoot287 · 03/12/2025 19:15

Hi everyone,

the sickness is still going for me (10weeks tomorrow) :’(. I am guessing since I now know there is twins it’s going to last longer. I’m not sure I’m mentally prepared to be high risk now and getting a bit overwhelmed with the cost and risks of it all.

i am also seriously bloating now and my belly is growing quicker being my second pregnancy and two little beans.

managing a toddler is hard work when pregnant !

nekophoenix · 03/12/2025 19:20

Eurgh sorry to those going through sickness. I had horrific nausea from end of week 5 ish to 7+4 including vomiting twice which eased up for a week or so. It’s started to get worse again with aversions back in full swing and waking me up in the early hours desperate for some carbs and water. I also had a couple of grim mini voms of water and bile (soz tmi). I’ll be 10 weeks on Sunday. Hoping it starts to ease off at the end of first trimester as it’s mentally really, really challenging.

Andrasa · 03/12/2025 21:46

Ten weeks for me tomorrow and I’m feeling less tired! Would say I feel exactly the same as pre-pregnant, just a little more bloated. Think I’ve put on about a kilo which isn’t too bad when it’s also coincided with the beginning of eating all the Christmas stuff. I have an iced biscuit advent calendar so I’m starting my day eating a palm sized cookie, probably something banning it somewhere in the pregnancy literature.

i need to tell my sister soon but im dreading it. She got divorced earlier in the year and her ex is having the kids on Christmas Day so she’s not sure she even wants to see any family (supposed to come to mine with a few other of our adult family members, no children) or just cope on her own. Not sure whether me saying I’m pregnant will tip her over the edge into not wanting to be here watching me and dh be happily families and her not.

StayingHopefulx · 04/12/2025 00:17

@blossomhoney2 i did the nipt test and found out the gender on my first, think I’ll do the same this time too! Was a bit mad knowing the gender from like 10 weeks tho!

Glad you’re feeling better at 10 weeks I’m 8 and battling nausea and fatigue while packing up our house 🤢

I can relate to the not wanting to share the news feeling albeit for a different reason, we’re spending Christmas with my sister in law who MC a couple months ago. There’s no way I can get through Christmas without telling anyone, I already look pregnant and they will guess when I say I’m not drinking.

Hope your sister takes it ok, she’ll be excited for you once the dust settles

Bumblebee413 · 04/12/2025 09:16

I’m sorry- it’s really hard sharing joyful news when others are struggling. Our first was an accidental pregnancy when my BIL and SIL were going through fertility treatment, so that was super painful for them. Quite hard for us too as we very much felt guilty and had done our best to be tactful but it still hurt them and they let us know.

I’m on my fourth pregnancy, 6 weeks today and feeling no symptoms, which I’ve never had before. My tests are getting darker but I’m really getting into my head and convincing myself that there’s something genetically wrong this time. Can anyone offer any reassurance from their own experiences?

SoftLaunch · 04/12/2025 09:20

Officially at the salt and vinegar crisps for breakfast stage of nausea šŸ™‹ā€ā™€ļø

I only started getting symptoms 6+5 this pregnancy, I think it was earlier in my previous pregnancy. Try not to worry, I know easier said than done, but if your tests are getting darker that's a good sign ā™„ļø

Is anyone else not having an early/private scan? We decided not too (mainly because we can't get childcare for my toddler and I'd rather not go without my husband) Feel so long a wait! I will be bang on 12 weeks Christmas eve so I bet it's after Christmas or even in the new year!

Bumblebee413 · 04/12/2025 09:37

Thank you @EL27 . We’re waiting for the dating scan, so not until mid January. A long time to wait!

Doodlestar · 04/12/2025 10:02

@Bumblebee413 My first pregnancy I literally wouldn't have known I was pregnant for a good long time - it was ony the tiredness that got me maybe about 8-10 weeks. No nausea, smell or taste symptoms at all. It was a little worrying in the early weeks for sure, but I just tried to be glad I felt OK. Maybe easier said than done!

So far it's different for me 2nd time round, I'm dizzy and queasy all day. So I will keep fingers crossed that it's just a case of this pregnancy being different for you and all goes well šŸ¤ž

blossomhoney2 · 04/12/2025 10:23

Woo exciting for you too for the nipt test. Best of luck @ThePatternAmber. I don’t know about you guys, but am really looking forward to seeing the baby again before they do the test. There are some days I am convinced I am not actually pregnant anymore - even with symptoms.

I also have a gestational diabetes test week 16 - anyone else? I unfortunately I had it in my last pregnancy and I think I’m pretty much guaranteed to have it again šŸ˜• I should really try and eat healthily and avoid too many carbs, but my cravings for salty, fatty foods are through the roof.

also is anyone else very excited for a July birthday - my birthday is in December and it’s always been a disaster in terms of celebrating because Christmas gets in the way. I always wanted a different experience for my kids. Hopefully July means being able to celebrate with bbqs and picnics. I know I’m getting a bit ahead of myself but I can’t help but dream and plan ā˜ŗļø
hope everyone is still doing ok!

waitingforourmiracle · 04/12/2025 10:36

Hey everyone,
I'm 6w6d today and still unsure on my symptoms! When people say nausea are you talking like can't function? I feel abit sicky but nothing really bad, I've wretched a few times but I don't think I'm close to being sick! I'm tired and falling asleep early but then again I feel like I'm always tired! I feel like my mind is playing tricks on me 😫
I have a scan tomorrow at my fertility clinic and I just do not know which way it's going to go!!

Doodlestar · 04/12/2025 10:37

@blossomhoney2 yes summer birthdays are great! I know this because mine is in early August...so I'm just a little worried about giving birth on my own birthday 🤣 I don't really want to share haha!

blossomhoney2 · 04/12/2025 10:56

Haha fair enough! @Doodlestar.. hopefully the chances of that happening are quite slim šŸ˜€

My only worry about July is friends being away on holiday etc and it being difficult to get invites out if they’ve broken up for summer. And obviously being nearly a year younger than September borns so aware they’ll probably need some extra support to keep up.

big upside, almost an entire year less of nursery fees to pay for!

SummerSolstice25 · 04/12/2025 11:43

I got a panorma test done a few days ago so I’m just waiting on the results of that. I’m praying to God every day that all goes well. It was nice to see the baby again at the NIPT scan, they even had a 3D image which I wasn’t expecting, that was wild! I’ve had 3 scans now and I’m 10 weeks. Panorma results should come in around the same time as the 12 week scan. We opted not to find out the gender.

blossomhoney2 · 04/12/2025 16:40

Good luck @SummerSolstice25and good point about nursery fees, I didn’t even think about that, or about them being young starting school! @Andrasa

ok my toddler has been vomiting all afternoon poor thing. Really hoping I don’t get whatever it is he’s got šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø

StayingHopefulx · 04/12/2025 17:15

Hey everyone looking for hopefully some reassurance if anyone has any! Last week I had a scan at epu because of some clots, however they found no reason and measured baby 6w3d, however, just had a scan with my consultant and he’s saying I’m only measuring 6w3d now? We heard a heartbeat he said it was slow but normal for this gestation as heartbeat only comes on at 6w. He wants to see me again in 2 weeks for another scan & he said he thinks there’s nothing to worry about and all looks ok, but my mind is gone into overdrive and I can’t relax? Has anyone had this in previous pregnancies? My dates are definitely spot on as I was tracking and in my previous pregnancy I was always measuring ahead so never had this. Thanks everyone! Hope everyone else is doing well 😊

Bumblebee413 · 04/12/2025 19:24

I’m sorry @blossomhoney2 thats rubbish for you too. Hope they’re feeling much better soon!

@StayingHopefulx there is variation from technician to technician when they’re taking measurements and when baby is so small tiny differences can sound huge/ translate to ā€˜days’ when you do the adjustment maths x x
