Hey, anyone else due July 2026? I got my first faint positive at 10dpo on Thursday 23rd October, I’m now 14dpo/4 weeks pregnant. Feeling nervous as still very early my period was due tomorrow. I’ve booked an early scan for in a few weeks so hopefully everything is all good, now just an anxious wait

Hi ladies!

According to my app I'm 5 weeks and 1 day today, only just finding out yesterday!!! 1st child and so very excited. Been on a long TTC journey and was waiting for my period to come so that we could start the process for embryo transfer to find someone else had moved in!

I was so adamant this morning that I wasn't pregnant so was a shock to see such strong positive tests.

Has anyone else had crazy cramping? Like it is 3am and it has woken me up and (TMI) makes me want to go number 2 very much like my period would. I'm a little nervous about it. It is coming and going

Juicytoot287 · 26/11/2025 03:57

@souiii Hi! I had cramping with my first and and now this one. It’s called implantation and ranges in strength per person. If it’s on one side, sharp or gets worse or any other symptoms that’s when to get checked. However I still get them now (8weeks nearly 9) and it can be your uterus stretching and preparing to grow!!

however joining anyone awake at stupid o clock! I am so tired I fall asleep at half 8, but then I’m waking at 3/4 unable to sleep and nauseous- insomnia and exhaustion in one

CharTT33 · 26/11/2025 05:59

@88claire thank you! I will do xx im
so happy for you.

CharTT33 · 26/11/2025 06:05

@souiii congrats, we both 5 weeks 1 day. It’s so exciting but yet so nerve wracking, if I could just skip to the end of the second trimester I would be buzzing lol. Yes I was getting cramping before if felt like my period was coming, I was also getting back pain to. Nothing now though. I believe it was implantation cramping etc. how you feeling ? Symptom wise ?

souiii · 26/11/2025 08:18

@Juicytoot287 the cramping went after about 20 minutes and I was able to get back to sleep - do you get implantation cramps at 5 weeks? I would have thought that it would have been sooner and before testing positive. Eeee congrats! Although the very early mornings do not sound great haha, hopefully it eases a bit

@CharTT33 Thanks! Congrats!! Yeah I've had some aching in my lower back but nothing too bad - just been feeling a bit rundown, my boobs are sore and my mood has been all over the place. The day before I tested I felt like there was pure rage just under the surface and my patience was extremely thin šŸ˜‚ What about you? Is this your first?

Yes literally had this type of cramping all night! Like the type you get before your period starts, been panicking so much! I think it’s totally common for have cramps, it’s just never really talked about much

souiii · 26/11/2025 08:57

Yes!! I was thinking last night that was the end of it but all seems to be alright - I'm super nauseous this morning šŸ˜‚

Yes I was exactly the same!! I’m about the same along - 5 + 5 I think!

Think the nausea is setting in…my husbands coffee and the dog food this morning made my stomach churn šŸ˜‚

I’m about 5+5 today, and we’re thinking about telling family and close friends at Christmas when ill be about 10 weeks, but I’m so anxious about telling everyone and then either having a miscarriage or getting the scans and something being wrong etcā€¦šŸ˜–

Same! The smell of coffee in the work kitchen this morning set me off. It smelt a lot stronger to me than normal.

Has anyone else go off certain foods? I cant face salad anymore, which I used to eat everyday, happy to eat hot veggies, but salads now turn my stomach. We also have chicken for dinner this evening, when I looked at in the fridge this morning i thought oh no i can't eat that!

souiii · 26/11/2025 09:58

@jw97 everything will be fine! We're thinking about doing the same, although we told parents yesterday - even though it is early, they know the struggles we have had with TTC so just felt right to tell them straight away. It is totally personal choice on what you are comfortable with.

The smell of everything is turning my stomach this morning, everything has a weird taste! It is so weird isn't it, you know it is probably delicious but somehow it just smells and looks revolting šŸ˜‚

I used to love lasagne and sausages, hate those now. Also hate big meals, they make me feel horrible. My nausea is starting to kick in so I’m going for little and often with snacks.

Thanks ā˜ŗļø I also think if anything did happen, we’d appreciate their support. I think we might go for a private scan early that week, just to give us more peace of mind before sharing! I am the biggest worrier šŸ˜‚

the sense of smell is the maddest thing! The smell and food aversions are just starting for me I think, I’m starting to feel queasy when I wake up and I think it can’t be long before I’m in the thick of it šŸ˜…šŸ˜‚

Hello everyone, I’m 4+6 with my third, found out last night and haven’t told my DH yet. We have a 4 and 1 year old and last month had a very, very unexpected chemical in that we weren’t even trying. I got the positive test on CD 34, had negatives on CD 37 and bled from CD 38. We had a family bereavement around the same time and we were so confused and shaken and sad.

We then had unprotected sex at what turned out to be a highly dangerous time(!) but we were both feeling everything all at once and grieving. Once everything started to settle we decided we only wanted two and that he is going to get a vasectomy…!

I held off testing as I just kept wishing last month that I never had as then I would never have known about the chemical and wouldn’t have had that additional pain once we had got over the shock. Yesterday I started spotting and assumed my period had come but when I got home I realised it had stopped and was like the implantation bleed I had with my second. I was also sick of living in limbo as yesterday was CD 38 so I did a test and it was a very clear positive.

We spoke about testing last night and he said ā€˜I don’t think knowing now would do us any good’ so I didn’t tell him, as we both found last month really hard and I can carry this alone for a few more days. Especially whilst I get my own head around it. This will be a very loved baby, but I am definitely more cautious after last time and don’t want to get anyone else’s hopes up yet. I have zero symptoms either, not even sore boobs, which I had both times before.

So, thank you for being a safe space whilst the next few days pass and I wait to see what happens x

Anyone else feel like everyone around them is sick, coughing and spluttering, cold sores etc? I just want to lock myself away for the next few weeks until my flu vaccine kicks in šŸ˜µā€šŸ’«

I was thinking this! I’m 100% office based unfortunately and can’t get away from the germs…I’ve got my booking appointment in a few weeks so will be asking for the vaccine!!

Should we just book privately to get this done or ask the GP? I haven’t seen any health professional yet but I agree, everyone around me in sick and I don’t want to catch anything!

EL27 · 26/11/2025 10:39

Nausea and food aversion still strong here as well! All I want is carbs! Pasta, potatoes, bread.

I only work part-time now as I have a toddler and I'd be earning less if I went full time after childcare costs šŸ™ƒ. Yesterday was a real struggle in work I kept feeling I was going to be sick. I don't know how full time working people are coping?

When are people telling work? I told management last time at 9 weeks as I was struggling but want to wait a bit longer this time as I felt I was treated differently by certain people after announcing my pregnancy (not in a good way).

SummerSolstice25 · 26/11/2025 10:41

@jw97 @Clarysjb I’m not sure how it works elsewhere but you can get it free in Ireland with your GP, nurse or at a Pharmacy. I personally wouldn’t wait around, if you can get into your GP or book online with Boots you can probably get it within a few days.

Yes I do think it’s free for pregnant women here in the UK too but I think the midwife books it in for you. I might ring my GP and ask for advice

SummerSolstice25 · 26/11/2025 10:47

@Clarysjb the NHS website has a link
to book in to your pharmacy online, or via the NHS app.

I’ve just been doing this but weirdly thinking what if they turn me away because there’s no proof I’m pregnant? It’s so stupid so I’ll just book anyway šŸ˜‚

SummerSolstice25 · 26/11/2025 10:54

@Clarysjb book an appointment and register your pregnancy with your GP regardless, just in case you need them in the early days for whatever reason. If you can get an appointment soon you can get the jab while you’re there, and if they can’t jab you at least your pregnancy is registered on the system to get your vaccine at the pharmacy.

SummerSolstice25 · 26/11/2025 11:01

@EL27 I’m full time, luckily I’ve been feeling well and I haven’t been affected at work. I will tell them in January hopefully if all goes well in the meantime. I’d wait as long as I could possibly get away with if I could but with the kind of job I have, they will need more notice.

Babyno2duejuly2026woo · 26/11/2025 11:30

Hi everyone - 6 weeks 4 days and going to have a viability scan in an hours time due to spotting and cramping. Really nervous, had a twin MMC before having my son. Also feeling super nauseous and out of it taking anti sickness meds atm
