IVF Pregnancy Club- spring/summer 2026

Wanted to start a thread for anyone expecting after IVF and due next spring/summer

I am finding it quite daunting after infertility for 4 years and then a round of IVF to now be FINALLY expecting in June 2026, can hopefully chat with anyone else in the same boat

@pastelheart ugh it’s absolutely rife today I feel awful, it’s half term for me now though so I’m going to sulk in bed as much as possible lol
how’s yours? I am absolutely never looking at a smint again after this pregnancy but it is the only thing getting be through the day my husband order loads on Amazon before i was like I don’t know if I can cope if I need that many!

aw I’m so glad he was pleased but funny kids are just so literal aren’t they lol

@Nosejug happy to have you here and we all understand the feelings you’re going through so you can vent away here without feeling bad, this is the hardest journey!

Thanks @Nosejug yea it’s always great to see baby. I’m a good bit further along than most of you so I have the daily kicks to keep me assured but it’s good to see them on screen. My check ups so to every 2 weeks now alternating between my GP and the maternity hospital so hopefully get to see baby a lot more

Oh @pastelheart did you not think of trying naturally?? hah, good to know he’s well educated on it. My niece asked me when she was 4 why I didn’t have a baby, I had to be like, I want one but you don’t always get to choose!

@Backtotheicsi I haven’t stopped being sick since yesterday afternoon 😭 I was sick in Tesco today so that was just great and I am going to have to find a new supermarket now. Yeah he is pretty amazing, he has been looking after me since he has found out and he put the pics up in his room as soon as he was given them (scan pics etc)

@dubkittenhe is 12 in December, he’s such a good boy 🩷

@Nosejug I know, we are so stupid for not thinking of trying the old fashioned way first 🙄 lol

I have to go to Birmingham tomorrow for work (I work solely from home so it’s very rare I have to travel) and I am so worried about my sickness. Have to get a two hour train and then be around people all day and I am honestly dreading it. Have also been looking through my work dresses and none of them are going to even zip up over my mini bump let alone not be obvious so I might have to wear my pjs too and at this point I don’t even care 😂 xx

Hi everyone, congrats on all your pregnancies! Love reading the success stories! I got my first ever positive yesterday on our 4th transfer still can’t believe it! I’m 4w4d today so now in the anxious wait until our early scan!

12 week NHS scan for me this morning. I am actually 13 and a bit. So anxious and slept terrrrrrribly so cannot wait to get it over with and have a nap!

Hope everyone else is plodding along OK? Hopefully some of you are starting to feel a bit better too.

@TSHconfusion i have one in two days 5+5 which is unfortunately on a cusp where i may see fetal pole&hb but where its not diagnostic if not, so ideally it’d have been a little later! (But there to rule out ectopic not confirm viability). How about you?

@Nosejug ah not long to wait then! Hope it goes well for you! Is this your first pregnancy?

I haven’t been given my scan date yet but am going to the hospital to pick up more pessaries and tablets today so going to ask about it. They did say it’s usually 3/4 weeks after the positive test but if it’s closer to 4 I might book a private one earlier as I have a friends wedding and I would like to tell her before it or she’ll be onto me about not drinking! Lol

@TSHconfusion welcome and congratulations! We all know how anxious that wait for the first scan is 🩷 hopefully it goes quick for you!

I just had my booking appointment with the midwife… omg so many questions and had to try and remember my first birth and pregnancy 12 years ago lol

birmingham for work yesterday was 0/10 not fun. Spent more time in the toilet gagging and I’m sure I raised a few eyebrows munching a whole punnet of grapes and about 100 ginger biscuits before 10.30am lol 😂 but I didn’t wear my pjs so taking that as a win 🥇 hope everyone else is okay! X

I had a telephone booking in with no warning today as they are having to use out of area midwives but to be honest it was great and still felt thorough.
she said she will ring when I can collect my notes from the local surgery but they the midwife will hand them over so we can meet.
I’ve got a private scan this Sunday at 10+5 so will have been almost 3 weeks since my last scan in proud of waiting lol I may or may not tell a couple of sisters then but I really would like to wait until 16 weeks when I tell my daughter so she can tell people. I don’t want to tell her until then I think I’ve decided. She’s autistic and I think the unknown of boy or girl will be a bit much and she’s bound to want a boy (every teddy she owns which is about 80 has a boy name chosen by her) so I think the confusion about not knowing would be unhelpful. She will be so happy either way I think as long as that’s how it’s sold from the get go. I’ve bought her a big sister hoodie I really want her to announce for us and be involved, so fingers crossed I can wait 6 weeks lol

Hey everyone! Sorry I have been quiet this week, work has killed me off and I have been running around (not literally running, I can’t do that atm) trying to get my car fixed (it’s still not fixed) and honestly if one more person asks me if I am getting a sensible family car I will cry

im excited for my scan I got my maternity notes and have felt excited since. I’ll be nervous before though. I found out where I’m going lets you do gender reveal from 14 weeks so I’m definitely going to go back in a few weeks and then I can tell my girl lol

ny nhs one has come through for 18th nov too!

Went back for round 2 of the glucose test today, they said I will get a call tomorrow if high and then I have to go for the longer one. Hopefully I don’t get a call!

I’ve finished all the baby shopping so just need to focus on my hospital bag. The clothes look tiny hanging in the wardrobe.

@Backtotheicsi oh it’s still not fixed, took it in yesterday again and the wrong part was sent! So annoying.

yay for being excited! Wow 14 weeks! I think the places around here is 15 weeks so we are going to book for then

@dubkittenhopefully your results are good, let us know when you get them. How exciting that you have finished shopping! What pram did you go for? We are going to go out and have a look this weekend (but not buy… just look) and I’m so excited xx

Just had our 12 week scan and all is looking good. It was our first round of IVF so feeling incredibly lucky!

12 weeks 4 days today and I was told to stop the progesterone at 12 weeks. Instead I chose to fade it out as I was nervous so yesterday was my first day without any

I was going to ask if anyone else stopped progesterone at 12 weeks? Hoping for some stories of people stopping at 12 and it all being fine!

I stopped at 12 weeks and all was ok

@CloudyIvy55welcome! And congratulations 🫶🏼 glad your 12 week scan went well. I am almost 10 weeks so not quite at the stopping progesterone stage (I am counting down the days though) I do think it will be fine though as by 12 weeks the placenta has completely taken over. We do have a couple of ladies in the group who are further along though so I am sure they will reassure you soon

I have just had my appointment through for my 12 week scan, it’s on 26th November! Just over 3 weeks… I can 100% wait that long. I think. Maybe. Maybe not but I’m going to try xx

@CloudyIvy55 Hey friend! I stopped at 12 on the dot and had my last scan at nearly 14 and it was fine then. Not had any bleeding or anything (touch wood). I was also nervy about stopping though! I think it helped me feel better but I did get a headache for a few days - I assume while the hormones recalibrated. Fantastic news on your scan!

Thanks I didn’t want an all black one and as I don’t know what I am having I thought a stone one would work with both
