Do you have a private clinic you can go to?

I could do but for the sake of waiting an extra 2 weeks, I’d rather save the money. Just being impatient, that’s all!

Have any of you started buying bits? We were given a Snuz pod as a hand me down so we have that in the baby room (mostly using it to store other things!!) but thinking we might start buying the odd bits here and there. Waiting for the sales for the bigger items like pram etc but interested to see what everyone else is doing? My mum is waiting patiently but she’s so eager to buy things haha!

We’ve started to buy bits, we’ve been given stuff as well. But we have the pram, car seat isofix, cot, just ordered baby carrier,bottles etc we’re trying to do a little every month to break up the spending! We have all his clothes until 1 year as well 🙈

@PinkFlamingo888 time seems like treacle at the moment! I've got my scan next Friday when I'll be 19+1. Had a wobble the last couple of days feeling like we'd be getting terrible news. It's hard when I haven't felt any movement and I've only got a small bump when I lie on my back. MMC really mess up your ability to relax and enjoy the pregnancy I think.
Hoping time goes quicker for you!

@peps2917 we haven't bought anything apart from a Christmas maternity jumper from Vinted. We're waiting for the 20 week scan next week. I've made some lists though and read helpful threads on MN. FTM here so don't want to overbuy..also scouting marketplace for second hand stuff.

@Sunshinemoom this is it I don’t want to feel too overwhelmed in December especially as it’s already an expensive month!! Our mums are buying a few bits for us like baby carrier and (lots of) clothes!! I plan to buy all clothes on Vinted as our mums have gone all out with really cute new outfits (including an extremely cute cashmere winter hat with bunny ears!!)

@WildFinch yes I’ve bought a dock-a-tot on Vinted and we are going to John Lewis to take a look at the prams. Planning to buy the more expensive items on Black Friday!

I can’t believe I’m 20 weeks next week - time is going very quickly!!!

Yeah that’s how I feel. I’ve started Christmas shopping as well. Want to be done for November so can relax December. Vinted is great for clothes. We’ve got some many bundles off there or bits in the sale! Oh I love that!!

We have fully started buying everything now (already have pram, bottles, bits of clothing,essentials etc). I’m 22 + 5. I am due Christmas week and we are currently doing house renovations so I am trying to get completely sorted asap otherwise I prob wouldn’t be in so much of a rush. We started buying properly after the 20 scan. I also wanted it done so I could focus on Christmas shopping for my other 2 children

I have a chair off Facebook marketplace for a tenner - our sofa is so low and aside from that we only have kitchen chairs so a new chair at a decent height seemed sensible 😅 aside from that no plans to buy anything until after my growth scan at 32 weeks. I don't want anything in the house in case something goes wrong.

Not bought a single thing, though we already have all our big bits. Our pram converts into a double - I imagine quite a heavy double, but a double nonetheless. Need to buy DD1s big car seat as she still fits in her infant carrier, that we will need for babe. That’s prob our biggest outlay.

I think I’ll splash out on a decent baby carrier with some lumbar support, I borrowed a baby bjorn one but it murdered my back.

Will prob wait until after 20 week scan to buy any boy bits - as want them to double confirm it’s definitely a boy in there 😂

Aww I bet it is so difficult when you’ve already experienced loss. We struggled with infertility so I still haven’t really accepted that this baby is real but I just keep reminding myself that everyday I’m still pregnant, is another day closer to it all working out 🤞
I think I’ve started to feel some movement now (very light flutters) so that is reassuring, but then messes with my head when I suddenly think I’ve not felt anything in a while! I’m sure it’ll work out for us both, sending lots of positivity your way! X

Sounds so similar to me! I have no real bump except when I lie down and I think I may have just started feeling something at 21 weeks but I really can't be sure! Same fear due to MMCs as well. The lead up to scans is awful.

We ordered a pram system and moses basket yesterday but that’s all so far. We only had to pay a deposit and we got a good deal at our local pram shop on both. I’ve started making lists for everything else but it’s all overwhelming. It’s hard to know what we actually need and not just what looks good!

God please tell me anyone has any tricks for the leg cramps and hips of a night? I got this with ds but not till later on. Three nights on the run now ive had hardly any sleep because of it.

As for buying ive started too, i only need to get the big stuff now like pram and prep machine. Got some great hand me downs and baby's draws have started filling up nicely. I have 17 weeks and 4 days to go and that just panics me I feel like its so so close xxx

I haven’t found any tricks what help the leg cramps, when my hips are sore through the night I’m having to get up and walk around only thing which helps! X

Its a nightmare isn't it! Its starting to get on my nerves xxx

Sorry no tips on the cramps! Hopefully just sporadic and die down for you. Would highly recommend a nuby rapid cool over the prep machine - it’s a life saver and you can take it out and about with you and can be easily sterilised x

Yeah it really is! Especially when I was expecting to get it a lot later on in the pregnancy not now x

When is it advised to start sleeping on our side? I sleep on my back and it is slowly becoming uncomfortable to turn etc… will probably need to buy pregnancy pillow soon

Oh same, feel like a zombie of a day because im up so much. And then trying to explain what its like to my mother for instant she just doesnt get it and is like go the Dr Im like for what haha anyway its putting me in a mood ahhaha.

@peps2917 i think past 24 weeks but ive already started lieing on my side. Im also suffering with the legs and hip cramps so I dont keep still long anyway ahha. Oh Invest in a pillow now you wont regret it xxx

Is anybody experiencing headaches? I’m almost 19 weeks and keep getting headaches on and off :(

Afraid I don't have any tips but I'm right there with you! I've had issues sleeping for around 4 weeks now and feels like it's getting worse...not ideal is it!
