Just catching up on all the posts! @Moosey898 glad all is ok. I’ve had some spotting this pregnancy too - one was brown and super light but the second was actually more red and a bit more than the previous and one. Both unexplainable - the last one was after using a pessary though so I reckon maybe the pessary irritated my cervix or something. It’s so worrying when it happens!

Im 18 weeks and I’ve been able to feel my baby boy these past few days. Sometimes it just feels like a bump or two and I can feel them with my hand on my tummy, or other times I feel bubbles inside my tummy but can’t feel with my hand. I know I have an anterior placenta so I imagine they’re going to continue being subtle for a while, but it’s so sweet to feel it all.

Got my midwife appt next week and my 20 week anomaly scan on the 5th September. Can’t wait!

WildFinch · 24/08/2025 22:29

@peps2917 scan twins. My 20 week is 5 September too. It feels like ages since the 12 week one. Can I ask, is this your first baby? I'm 17w+3 but don't think I've felt anything yet. I'm impatient to have some sign everything is ok in there!

peps2917 · 24/08/2025 22:38

It is my first @WildFinch ! I was expecting to not feel anything until 24 weeks due to anterior placenta but here I am! Not sure if it has anything to do with it but whenever I go for a scan he is extremely active and flips a lot from tummy to back - I think the movements I can feel are the baby flipping rather than kicking.

I am also quite active and I’ve noticed the movement happens usually after I go for a run or spin class and then lie down or after I’ve been doing stuff around the house and then sit to rest.
I’ve been doing a lot of resting in the afternoons just in bed reading and I have my hand on tummy to try and find movement. You’ll feel your babe soon!! And it will be lovely 🥰

Thank you, it's hard to describe how bad it is to other people so when somebody already knows it's easier. I let the GP change my meds because they were making me so tired, it was a big mistake and I went back, better to be asleep than sick. Honestly I'm hoping I can have a normal delivery before a C-section is necessary. I'll be on blood thinning injections in a few weeks so fingers crossed. I feel like a lot of us could end up with Christmas or new year's babies 💝

Yeah it really hard to explain. I don’t think people understand how debilitating it is. I hope you’re starts to ease of soon so you get some relief. Yes better to feel tired than sick. What meds are you on? Fingers crossed get the delivery you want 🤞🏾 hopefully the blood thinners help!! As long as I get past Christmas happy for baby to come 😅

Scan triplets! This is my second and still no movement - my placenta at the front so likely won’t for a little while. Try not to worry too much - I know easier said than done.

Also salute for still doing spin classes, I’m beat after a casual walk 😂 x

Welcome!!! It is nerves wrecking but the 20 week scan is the best because you get to see little one in full detail. Will u be finding out sex? Xx

I agree about feeling like Some of these babies could be ere sooner haha I keep thinking please not xmas day but any other will do me fine. Haha im starting xmas early this year I want present and decorations all to be sorted by the 1st so I can be fat and happy during the festivities haha. Xx

Hannah767 · 25/08/2025 10:39

@Jadeypiethanks! It's mostly because (other than the expanding belly) i've had a lack of symptoms and haven't felt any kicks yet! Probably just me overthinking 🙃 no, unless baby is full-frontal for the scan, we'll be keeping the gender a surprise! Do you know what you're having?

Early decorating is a must this year! Fat and happy sounds like the perfect way to spend the holidays xx

Welcome to the thread. Is this your first - it’s ok to not feel anything yet. I’m 19w 4d and haven’t really felt much. My big scan is next week but was in the hospital last week for a scan as wasn’t feeling well and baby was moving like mad.

I am an early decorator for Christmas (second last weekend in November) so will be sorted on that front and usually start my Xmas shopping in September. All this talk of us being fat and happy has me imagining us all as big fat santas 😂😂

Hannah767 · 25/08/2025 10:59

@dubkittenyes, my first 😊 thanks, that's really reassuring! I assume everything was ok with you and baba in the end?

Xmas shopping in September would normally sound crazy to me but that's sounding like the plan this time round!xx

Jadeypie · 25/08/2025 11:10

@Hannah767 its all just a big mystery pregnancy at this stage and full of worry! Im sure once baby's doing karate moves you'll feel better its all normal to feel that way. I didnt find out with my son was a big suprise we was convinced he was a girl haha we found out this time we are having another boy 🥰 i love the thought of being a boy mum xx

@dubkitten big fat Santa's hahahah yep im already half way there!! 😅 xxx

Thegirlhasnamechanged · 25/08/2025 11:14

Fat and happy is definitely how I want the Christmas period to happen here 😁 I’m due on the 4th Jan but will have a planned section the week before. Here’s hoping this baby doesn’t spontaneously go into labour at 37 weeks like what happened with my little boy because I can only imagine trying to explain to a 4 year old (and maybe his 6yo sister) why baby hasn’t got anything under the tree!

Hannah767 · 25/08/2025 11:16

@Jadeypie Exactly! Each and every karate kick will be taken as a welcome hello from within! Ahh congratulations, that's lovely news you're having another baby boy!xx

Yes all good thanks, GP was just being extra cautious, turned out to be a viral infection

Yea normally start shopping in September with the aim to be done by the end of November

peps2917 · 25/08/2025 11:28

@Nynm23 i definitely wasn’t able to in first trimester but thankfully feeling better now. Let’s see how long it lasts 😂

RealTealQueen · 25/08/2025 13:20

We’ve just been for our 20-week scan. All looking good! Baby boy is wriggling about all over and measuring as he should. I even felt him kick when he did it right where she had the monitor, so that was special ❤️

These next few weeks are going to go so fast aren’t they 😅 always feels like the -Ber months fly by as it is!
All Christmas and most of the baby shopping needs to be done by 1st Dec, I hate shopping when it’s busy at the best of times, never mind 35+ weeks 🙈
I know baby will come when she’s ready but I hope she’s a Jan baby and she doesn’t come 14th (due 15th) because that’s my nieces birthday and there will be 5 years between so not easy for joint stuff and they live away from us
If baby comes on her due date that’s my mums birthday which would be easier to manage for sure.. it’s a busy time of year for us already with family birthdays 😅

Oh look at him!!! Glad all was well 🥰 20 week scan is really special isn't it xxx

peps2917 · 25/08/2025 18:49

I’m totally on board with being fat santas ladies! I’m so glad to be able to spend Christmas at home for the first time too as we normally travel to our parents’ and take it in turns. It will be great to just chill out at home with my parents for Christmas and then just the two of us (plus our cheeky cat) at new years.

Moosey898 · 25/08/2025 20:48

This pregnancy is putting me through the wringer! More bloody discharge this evening. I can only guess it is from my cervix being irritated with the examination yesterday but it is not helping the anxiety 😭 scan Wednesday morning, and I'm going to ask about it because I can't deal with this sort of thing ongoing. I'm exhausted with worry.

Hopefully they will be able to put your mind at ease @Moosey898 - you’ve had a rough couple of weeks

Hannah767 · 25/08/2025 22:39

@peps2917 sounds like a perfect way to spend the festivities!

@Moosey898 Fingers crossed Wednesday's scan eases your worries xx

WildFinch · 26/08/2025 09:59

How are you doing today @Moosey898 ? Sorry to hear you've had a rough time of it. Hopefully some reassurance coming with your scan on Weds

Time is moving soooo slowly for me. 20 week scan is a week Friday. I'm due end of Jan so really hoping I don't have a Christmas baby. We're hosting for the first time this year and I'm so excited! There will only be 6 of us all adults and I'm hoping my mum will help with the cooking 😅
I have done no baby prep or even thinking about baby stuff but I have bought a maternity novelty Christmas jumper on Vinted. Got my priorities in order 😬

WildFinch · 26/08/2025 10:01

Also, I'm 17w+5 and have had noticeable cramps today. Low down like mild period pain. Reckon it's probably normal, anyone else?
