I’ve been getting little taps this last week, always in the same area lower down. I’m currently 16+4. I did feel movements early on with my son too.

WanderWalker · 14/08/2025 15:09

I’m just over 20 weeks and feel like the movement has really started this week. I’ve also got an anterior placenta, so you might not feel much due to that. My friend also had an anterior placenta and didn’t feel anything till 24 weeks. I know what you mean though it can be so stressful between scans when you can’t feel movement. I’m sure they will soon be keeping you awake at night having a party in there 😊 x

Im 20 weeks and I feel like its actual kicks now. My ds felt it for the first time and it made me cry watching his reaction sweetest moment ever!!

So girls dont worry if you still havnt felt any you will. Just some feel it sooner and depending on placenter placement ect. Also this is my 2nd so I think thats why ive felt mine alot sooner xxx

Thegirlhasnamechanged · 15/08/2025 19:52

Had my scan today and all looked good. I’ve got an anterior placenta so that’s why the movement I’ve felt is a far more subtle than it was at this point in my first two pregnancies though I’m told it will ramp up soon enough.

oh and we’re having another little girl. My daughter is over the moon and my son came around to the idea of not having a brother a lot quicker than I imagined he would.

peps2917 · 15/08/2025 23:01

I also had a scan today!! Found out we are having a baby boy. Soooo excited and it is so lovely to be able to actually imagine things now 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

dubkitten · 15/08/2025 23:19

It’s great to hear all the scans are going well!

TigerLily38 · 16/08/2025 00:29

Awww lovely updates!! We had our scan this afternoon, all looking perfect 🥰 told it's a little girl and I'm still in shock as I was so convinced that it's a boy! Over the moon with either but just so different to what I'd been imagining lol 🤣💕💕 (a little nervous as my sister in law was told girl and a boy popped out so not sure I fully believe it yet!🤣)

@peps2917 awww I was 24th Jan too based on LMP but moved a week ahead at my dating scan! So in sync with these babies haha 🤭

Jadeypie · 16/08/2025 01:22

Congratulations everyone!! Its sooo exciting we are all at the stage of finding out our baby's sexes! Huge milstones to tick off 🩷 aslp so happy scans are going well too. Xxx

Have woke up with nausea again the last two mornings (even threw up yesterday which never happens). Hopefully this isn’t a long return!!

This happened to me a few days ago kept vomiting of a morning but then realised its the cornflakes. Been fine since I stopped eating them. I also crnt have jam that will make me vomit and chewing gum. If I stay away from those triggers im fine. Took me a while to learn they was triggers haha xx

The trigger may be no good as it’s from when I wake but apart from getting up during the night to eat it sure what I can do.

Met up with friends I haven’t seen in a couple of weeks yesterday and they said they can notice a bump so just must be me not seeing it 😂😂

RealTealQueen · 17/08/2025 20:53

I’m so ill! Got an awful cold. Are there any safe medicines? I’m desperate. Paracetamol just isn’t cutting it!

WaitingEA · 17/08/2025 20:58

Sounds awful. Maybe ask if you pharmacy if there is anything they can give you

Nynm23 · 17/08/2025 22:00

Hey ladies, sorry I’m terrible for keeping up on this..I’m just absolutely exhausted. Pregnancy with a toddler is no joke.

Had our scan to find out sex of the baby today, and as I guessed we are having a boy. I’m already panicking about a name 😂

Might be worth having a breakfast bar next to your bed to eat as soon as you wake up I have to do this so I’m not sick

Yes, mainly due to the sheer hunger this pregnancy compared to my first. And whilst I’ve been quite sick this time, it has not been as bad as my first. I am still needing antisickness to level me out, at this point in my first I was still bed bound.

Moosey898 · 18/08/2025 08:06

I'm struggling so badly with anxiety currently. Got a call with the specialist post traumatic stress pregnancy team tomorrow (who knew such a thing existed!). I have no bump, no movement. I'm 20 weeks Thurs and just feel like it's not real or will go wrong any second. I hate pregnancy after so many losses 😥

Makes sense. Now my sickness has started to subside I’m able to eat more. I find it crazy how I’ve got two boys and this pregnancy has been so different to my first that I was convinced I was having a girl when they said boy I was shocked 🙈

I’m sorry to hear that you’re struggling with anxiety. Hope the call is able to help tomorrow. The movements will come where is your placenta positioned if you know? That plays such a big part of it. Totally understand having the feeling that it’s not real and something can go wrong at any second.

peps2917 · 18/08/2025 08:25

@RealTealQueen i feel you!! I had a cold when I was away a couple of weeks ago. I had paracetamol, fresh honey ginger and lemon tea, vitamin C and was trying to eat lots of fruit and soups and resting lots whenever I could. It was bad for 4 days I would say then it got better. There is just nothing else we can do annoyingly. I missed lemsip so much!

peps2917 · 18/08/2025 08:28

@Moosey898 im so sorry to hear that you feel like this. I agree with the post re: placenta location. Mine is anterior and I’m 17+2 - hardly feel anything at all too and most people don’t feel it until like 21-24 weeks I’ve read. Maybe this can give you some reassurance. Have you had scans recently too? You can hopefully find comfort in those 🩷

RealTealQueen · 18/08/2025 08:31

@Moosey898 Do you have a private ultrasound clinic nearby you could book in with? That’s what I do whenever I’m having a wobble. I’m also desperate to feel some movement now. With the symptoms mostly subsiding and with me being poorly for days, I’m worried about him in there. Wish I could feel him prodding me. We’ve got our 20-week scan a week today so I’m trying to hold out. I really hope the call helps. See if they can get you in for regular Doppler sessions maybe? You just need the reassurance, don’t you? Chin up. Xxx

That sounds very tough, hopefully they will be able to help put your mind at ease
