When did everyone get their 20 week scan date through? I’m 17 weeks today and haven’t heard anything yet

I’m England and was given mine straight after my 12 week scan

WanderWalker · 12/08/2025 16:55

I’m in England too and got mine around my 16 week midwife appointment

WildFinch · 12/08/2025 16:58

@PinkFlamingo888 I made mine at my 12 week scan. Southern England.

PinkSprinkleFairy · 12/08/2025 17:09

All of my scan/consultant appt dates came through on my hospitals app following my midwife receiving the details from the 12 week scan.
I think my midwife booked them in and they come through. I’m in the south west of England

My trust had a backlog so had the community midwives chasing. Got the date last week (18 weeks) for Friday when I’ll be 19+5

Thegirlhasnamechanged · 12/08/2025 18:05

I’ve had my 32 week growth scan in the books since the dating scan though as the consultant booked it straight away!

peps2917 · 12/08/2025 18:07

@PinkFlamingo888 that’s odd! I got mine at my 12 week scan and I’m in London.

Confusedmermaid1 · 12/08/2025 18:40

@PinkFlamingo888 I also got mine at my 12 week scan but they didn’t actually tell me the date, they just put the scan letter in my notes (Wales)

PinkFlamingo888 · 12/08/2025 19:11

Thank you all. I will give them a call in the morning. Everything has been very easy so far and my trust seem really good so it’s unusual for them not to have booked it. We’ve literally just moved to Badger Notes though and I don’t think the staff are particularly familiar yet so whether it was supposed to be put on there and hasn’t been?

I'm the same as you, 17 weeks today and no date for the 20w scan yet, my midwife said our trust no longer book them all in advance and I'll just hear the week before...she said sometimes you'll just get a text on Friday for a scan on Monday! Thank god my workplace is very flexible 🫣🫣 x

Anyone else feel like their bump size fluctuates a lot? I’m 15 weeks and yesterday my bump seemed massive but I must have been quite bloated because today it seems smaller and more flabby rather than firm. It’s frustrating and making my worry because everything in this pregnancy makes me worried! Anyone else feel their bump changes size a lot?

Yes! 17w today, yesterday I looked a lot bigger from the moment I woke up until I went to bed, very noticeable bump even in my floaty dress...today seems smaller and I was wondering the same thing! Nice to know it's normal 😊

I wondered if anyone could advise about screening results too please...had my screening bloods done 3 weeks ago yesterday and still haven't heard anything, asked my midwife and she said on the system she can see that they're back and low risk, but I'd really like to have the letter with the exact figures on myself ☹️ has anyone else had them quite late after but they did arrive? X

peps2917 · 12/08/2025 20:00

Hello @TigerLily38 ! I had the same situation. After 3 weeks I called and they gave them to me via telephone (they gave me the exact results though as opposed to just saying low risk). The letter came after 4 weeks more or less as they had to re-send it when I chased. Good news that it’s low risk though!!

peps2917 · 12/08/2025 20:09

@Yellowdaff25 i also have this! I find I can see it more when I’m lying down weirdly.

I’m 16 weeks (17 at the weekend) and I’m in that in between stage where I don’t know if it’s doing well or not! No movement yet which is fine as I know it’s early. I want to know it is safe and ok. Excited to find out gender though! We couldn’t wait so booked a private scan for this Friday - hopefully all will go well.

TigerLily38 · 12/08/2025 20:16

Aw thank you, I was thinking I'm sure I remember you posting that yours took a while too! That's a good idea, I'll call tomorrow and ask if they can give me the results over the phone 😊

Just seen in your other message you have a scan this Friday - me too!! Fingers crossed all perfect for us both and that we get to see gender 🤭🤭 x

Sunshinemoom · 13/08/2025 13:41

I keep dreaming that on my 20 week scan I’m gonna find out I’m actually having a girl and not a boy 😅🤣

curliegirlie · 13/08/2025 14:09

I got my screening letter back and it just said my chances for the three trisomies and didn’t even give PAPP-A or HcG levels. Although I have to assume those both must have been really good, as I got 1 in 2,157, despite being 43 with a daughter with Down’s syndrome so I was expecting to get a really high chance result (I’ve already had the NIPT, so was only asked to do CT as they wanted to check my PAPP-A level).

Its not unheard of hahaha. I had a dream we had a girl and she had the biggest blue eyes was delighted with her. Suppose next week we will find out.

Movements have really become stronger last two days. I actually felt baby kick with my hand. Its the best feeling in the world it makes me feel like I can finally not be so anxious all the time.

My cousin had her little girl 7 months ago so shes bringing all kinds the weekend for us which will save us a fortune. Feel like I need to sort out where everything is going to go. Xxx

Haven’t had any dreams what he’s gonna look like. Just he’s going to be girl not a boy 🤣 even though baby did a clear potty shot. Not long now to know if having boy or a girl.

nothing better then feeling the baby kick. I feel like I’m gonna have night owl always kicking me at night.

oh that’s great helps out so much! Same as our baby room it become storage room with the baby bits we’ve already got xx

Moosey898 · 13/08/2025 17:15

Anyone else not sure if they have felt any movement yet? I'm 19 weeks tomorrow and don't think I've felt anything....I know I have an anterior placenta but would be so much less stressful if I could feel something!

@TigerLily38 omg!! And we are very similar in terms of due dates right? 24th Jan for me at the moment.

I dream a lot about girls but I have a strong feeling I am having a baby boy - cannot wait to know but mostly I can’t wait to see baby moving around in there!

Let me know how it goes on Friday - I MAY have felt a ‘flutter’ today when I was lying down reading but I’ve been trying hard to feel things and I think maybe I imagined it ha.

I’m 18 weeks tomorrow and haven’t felt anything which is stressing me out!

Bought a couple more bits of clothes today but then every time I buy something I feel worried after it that it’s all gonna go wrong

Nothing definite yet. I woke up in the night last night and noticed an odd sensation in my tummy for a few seconds but I couldn’t swear it was baby. Everything feels odd these days! It’s supposed to be closer to 20 weeks that you feel it with your first. I know mine was still happy in there on Saturday so I’m trying not to worry!

I’m just over 20 weeks and feel like the movement has really started this week. I’ve also got an anterior placenta, so you might not feel much due to that. My friend also had an anterior placenta and didn’t feel anything till 24 weeks. I know what you mean though it can be so stressful between scans when you can’t feel movement. I’m sure they will soon be keeping you awake at night having a party in there 😊 x
