Same, I don’t remember it being an issue. The blood thinners (I think that’s what they are) post c section are another story!

my anti-D was in my bum and left me with a lovely bruise 😂

I’ve been on the injectable blood thinners since 6 weeks so they’re a walk in the park for me now. Belly is like a patchwork quilt at this point though which ain’t fun!

RealTealQueen · 06/08/2025 15:10

What’s this anti-D you’re all on about? I’ve not heard of it! X

If you are a negative blood type then you may need to have it if baby has a positive blood type x

Ah, thank you. I’m O+ so shouldn’t need that! There’s so much to learn 😆

Oh dear, I’ll stop complaining now 😂

Is anyone else ravenous? Im convinced this babe is a boy for that reason 😂 don’t remember being like this with daughter. Had a huge bowl of pasta at dinner time and I’m thinking of a pre bed snack!

Me...24/7 since the positive test 🤣🤣🤣 also convinced I'm having a boy!!! 🤭

We can’t win - I’ve gone from moaning about being constantly nauseous to having no symptoms and therefore stressing something is wrong 🙈 I know it’s normal to have a few weeks of feeling nothing between the end of T1 symptoms and feeling the baby moving - I’ll be ready for the nut house by the end of this pregnancy 😂😂

Jadeypie · 07/08/2025 06:37

I agree with the hunger ive already piled the weight on!! My current thing is cakes they all just look delicious haha. My partner asked was we opening a cake shop 😂😂 i need to rein it in!! Xx

LoveaCaramelLatte · 07/08/2025 17:25

I'm still having to eat all the time to stop throwing up. At least it's not every hour anymore! I don't even think I can tell if I'm hungry or full anymore. I don't want to even think about my weight my hopes of staying active have so far failed miserably. Ooh cakes sound nice!

Has anyone felt baby movements yet? The apps were saying I might be able to feel it now. This is my first so I know it probably won't be for a few more weeks but I can't help pausing whenever I feel anything. Although I think it's just a lot of gas😂

Oh god me too @dubkitten! Felt much better the last week or so. Did have a cervical length scan this morning and got to see baby so there is still one there with heart beating away. Still got a month until my 20 week scan though.

When did ladies get their pregnancy bumps in their first pregnancy? I'm keen for mine to start appearing but I'm only 15 weeks. Mostly just feel chubby at the moment. I doubt I'll feel movement for a while yet but that would be encouraging too.

Jadeypie · 07/08/2025 18:08

I think first time round i got my bump about 19-20 weeks. Ive got a noticeable one now since about 17. I dont carry big untill right near the end, think babies live in my back more.

As for movement mine has been getting stronger each day im 19 weeks. I did feel them alot earlier this time round d with it being my 2nd. I think my placenter might be in the front because I've not seen any xx

Yeah i started to feel movements about 14/15 weeks now they getting stronger and can definitely tell its movement now not the second guessing myself. This is my second baby though. With my first was about 16/17 weeks both times my placenta has been at the back xx

My app says you should feel between 16-24 weeks but for first pregnancies it is nearer the 20 weeks

Yea I’ve 4 weeks to my next scan and it’s dragging.

I am plus size so don’t know if I am fooling myself thinking the top of my tummy is rounder or if a bump is forming 😂

Confusedmermaid1 · 07/08/2025 18:51

@LoveaCaramelLatte I’m the same, think I’m feeling things but also maybe it’s just gas 🙈😂 I’m 17 weeks with my
first so I’m sure some of them are actually movements but I’m doubting myself 😅

I’m also already showing which I’m really surprised at.. had to fess up in work at 15 weeks because I couldn’t hide it under baggy tops any more 😅 didn’t expect to show this soon..

First time not a bump to be seen until around 6 months, I have a retroverted uterus and I’m apple shaped which is likely the reason for the late appearance. This time I’m starting to show quite a bit, definitely more obvious in the evening. Feeling it more and uncomfortable already, said to my partner I will be insufferable for a long time and for him to buckle up 😂

The start of the movements felt like little bubbles in your belly - that’s how I remember last time.

Plus size here too - struggling for outfit options and desperately need to find a swimming suit to bring my LO to swimming classes after the summer break. I think I’ve found 1 contender and I’ve searched the entire internet 🙈😂

I bought a few elasticities bottoms in Primark and a few leggings. Only thing is I am average height and I needed to get all the trousers taken up 🙄

Moosey898 · 07/08/2025 20:06

I'm 18 weeks today - put on some flubber due to eating beige food only and not being able to exercise for about 6 weeks due to nausea in first trimester 😅 but no bump yet. Pretty sure I'm feeling more solid under the flub though so I reckon I should be sporting a little bump in the next couple of weeks.

No movements for me - I know I've got an anterior placenta so not expecting any. Had an extra doppler check from the midwife today and bub was moving all over the place, from back to front, kicking the Doppler etc 🤣

Also got a call this morning to rebook my consultant appointment...for this afternoon! So had a busy day but productive. I have to have an echo done (whenever cardiology fit me in!) because of existing medical issues, and have to have a gestational diabetes test at 28 weeks and additional growth scans at 32 and 36 weeks. Very productive appointment overall.

Now mentally preparing to tell my boss when I see her in person on Tuesday....I started the job when I was already pregnant but didn't know if it would stick, so not looking forward to the conversation but needs to be done, especially with all these extra appointments!

I’ve the opposite issue, I’m tall and then the bump makes trousers shorter so im always walking around with ankle grazers.

i begrudge buying maternity clothes for such a short period but think I will have to give in. Didn’t need to buy much first time round so it’s a fresh new wardrobe.

LoveaCaramelLatte · 07/08/2025 20:47

@WildFinch this is my first pregnancy I'm 16 weeks and would say I have a noticeable bump especially in the evenings. I wasn't expecting it this early but I've been bloated since 4 weeks and it just kept getting bigger.

@Confusedmermaid1 glad I'm not the only one showing this early in a first pregnancy!

Thank you everyone for commenting on the movement I won't @ you all as so many people replied but good to know it should be soon! And to watch out for a bubbly feeling!

Confusedmermaid1 · 07/08/2025 21:48

@Nynm23 the bubble feelings I end up writing off as gas 😅😂 the other feeling I get (bare with me because I might sound absolutely mental) is what I imagine it would feel like when tadpoles move inside their eggs… 🙈😂 like a swirling sensation, hard to explain 😂

@Moosey898 so glad you managed to get the appointment rebooked and heard little one’s heartbeat too

Bit of a heads up for anyone on the hunt for a pram…

Mamas and Papas are about to release the new ocarro, so I was expecting them to drop their current model in price a little bit. I went on the off chance today and managed to get the ocarro in colour cafe, with the carrycot, pushchair top, footmuff and both waterproof covers for £449. Massive difference in price. We were looking at this a few weeks back as it’s all terrain (it was double the price). It looks like they’ve slashed the prices on a few of their ranges due to the new release. Just incase anyone has been looking at this range!

We were leaving the pram till last, like October time 🤣 but too good of a deal.
