I feel like I am pregnant ages!! I found out quite early as mine is an IVF pregnancy. I am hoping the rest starts to go a bit quicker!

Just had my 15 week maternity appointment and got to listen to the heartbeat 💗 if old wives’ tales are to be believed, it’ll be a girl!

Oh exciting. Are you waiting until 20 week scan to find out? X

I found out at 3 1/2 weeks as I was on weight loss injections and you're not meant to take them when pregnant so I tested the day my next injection was due. Wasn't expecting a positive, it's the earliest I've ever tested! Feels like forever so far. Although things have been speeding up a bit in the last month or so.

I found out at my early anatomy scan my placenta is at the front so I'm not expecting to be able to feel much movement for quite a while. It's reassuring to know that otherwise I would have worried about it!

Oh me too! My midwife said I wouldn’t know any different though since I’ve never had one before. I’m ready to start feeling movement tbh! Next scan is ages away!!

dubkitten · 31/07/2025 13:24

I haven’t felt anything yet but only 16 weeks today so I reckon it’s still too early

Anyone feel like their pregnancy is going too quick? I feel like i found out last week. All of a sudden im in month 5!!! Xx

I feel the opposite, I feel like it is dragginggggg in..though likely because I’ve felt rotten for the best part of it thus far. Hoping trimester two is quicker - I really don’t enjoy being pregnant. I wish I was one of those women who glow and thrive, but I literally just survive 😂

We’re not planning to find out but I feel like a few of the old wives’ tales point to girl, but we’ll wait and see! We have a boy’s name chosen though and I’m a bit stumped for girls!

I am also in month 5 and I’m like how did I get here 🤣 the sickness part dragged, but as soon as that was over it’s flown by. I’m now doing the … in a bit of a panic thinking that’s not many months to go I need to buy things!…stage. I just keep thinking if the next months fly by like this first part I won’t be organised.

Also off the back of the last nursery chat I’ve decided to go view one and get on the list as soon as I’ve had my 20 week scan (11th). I asked locally and due to the increase in more free hours for working parents in the UK it’s meaning people are getting their names down early 😣 so whoever brought it up on this feed originally THANK YOU! ☺️ I would never have even thought about it otherwise!

Thegirlhasnamechanged · 31/07/2025 15:45

I’m 17+4 and still waiting for my 20 week scan appointment. Both myself and the community midwife have been chasing it up with no joy so far. We’re away the week of 18 August so it’ll be Sod’s Law that the appointment is for then even though it’s been noted down I’ll be in a different country so not able to attend!

The nursery that my first 2 went to has an open day mid August so I think I’m going to head along to that and see if it’s still an option for us in 2027… even though the parking is absolutely horrendous

Om hoping my consultant will tell me on Monday what ours is instead of waiting for my anomaly scan hahs. We have both names picked out i think. We'll they are the only two names we dont bicker about hahaha xxx

WanderWalker · 31/07/2025 15:48

@PinkFlamingo888 a few of the old wives tales are pointing to a girl for us too, but convinced I’m having a boy. I’m finding the names thing hard in general and we are also not planning on finding out either. Have you been tempted at all? Our friends found out what they are having last week and I got in my own head about it for a few days and now back to trying to hold strong till they arrive 🤣 I’ve never had a surprise before and I’m sure it will be lovely

@Thegirlhasnamechanged That’s frustrating isn’t it. I hope you get your date before you go away!

I am not finding our either to the dismay of my goddaughter 😂 I have names picked out but alot can change between now and then!!

Nynm23 · 31/07/2025 18:33

I have booked my scan to find out the sex of the baby..my reasons being I cannot think of a name for a boy 😂 that and wether I need to cart all the clothes I’ve kept to the new house. Will be moving when I’m around 24-26 weeks - not the best timing!

Oh exciting!!!

see I had all boys names no girls thankfully having a boy 🤣

Sunshinemoom · 31/07/2025 19:42

Managed to reserve a space at my local child minders to start next October 😅 a month before back at work so they settled by the time I start work again.

I feel like this time I’m starting my maternity so early as well start 1st December and use my A/L I have left for this year

That was me with my first, but I have a sneaking suspicion this one is a boy! Just on having a nosey at the top 100 names for 2024 - just released today.. and I see nothing I like 🙈

Will know soon enough when is your scan? I’m so different I love unique names my poor children never going to find their name on a cup or something 😅

I’m impatient to find out, but think the surprise will better so we’ll just have to wait! Although I feel like any gender neutral bits we’ve bought all feel a bit boyish so if I knew it was a girl I’d start buying some more girly bits, but I think waiting will be more exciting for us!

In two weeks time. I’ve booked a private scan so they will give us the sex in an envelope so we can open it privately, sadly nhs won’t do that here. See I have a name that is pretty straightforward but can be spelled wrong which is a pet peeve, so I look to pick simple name for the babes 😂 I do love an Irish name though so always torn whether to just go for an Irish one

We’ve found the same issue. Hardly anything neutral and the things we have bought are more boyish too. We’ve decided to buy basic stuff and are putting a little pot of money aside so when the baby is born I am going to click and collect cute stuff in either boy/girl for my partner to collect 🤣 he will be very busy collecting orders when baby arrives

Haha this is a great idea! I have a few friends / family members that have had babies of both genders recently so I’m buying them cute bits in the hopes of it getting passed down to mine when they arrive!

Thegirlhasnamechanged · 31/07/2025 21:54

It’s so interesting to me that most of you are sorted for boys names but struggling for girls. Complete opposite in our house! We have one boy name that we liked… so used it for my 4 year old. Not fussed on what sex baby is but it’d be a whole lot easier name wise if it was a girl 😂
