@Moosey898 its all the waiting round for appointments isn't it just feels like its anxiety inducing! I think once baby starts bouncing round thats the best reasurance but untill then it really is such a waiting game. Im sure everything is fine but I totally get how you feel. Xxx

It's awful! And then today my consultant appointment got cancelled last minute because of the doctors strikes. So frustrating I was in tears. The only thing keeping me from falling apart is taking each appointment as a small milestone so when that gets pulled out from under me last minute it sucks! And work is so busy it's hard to rebook any appointments, so I feel like I'm being forced into having to tell work before I'm comfortable to do so otherwise I'm going to struggle to make appointments....

No bump here with (15+1) but I’m a size 18 so might take a while for anything to show.

Nausea still there but as annoying as it is something it’s a comfort knowing there is still something happening. Not back in the maternity until 4th Sept for my anomaly scan.

Confusedmermaid1 · 25/07/2025 17:32

@Moosey898 I totally sympathise.. all MC are awful obviously but I think MMC just make you so unable to just trust it even when things appear to be totally normal don’t they. I struggle with negative thoughts from time to time too.
I’ve got just under 2 weeks until my next scan and part of me can’t wait for it and the other part is absolutely terrified 😅 my MIL wants to start making us things (she’s super talented and an absolute gem don’t get me wrong) and I just want her to slow down until we’ve hit the next milestone..

Moosey898 · 25/07/2025 17:56

@Confusedmermaid1 right? I don't trust anything at all. How far along will you be when you have your next scan? I'm so lucky everyone around us is being really understanding in us taking things slow and quiet, not really talking about the pregnancy, not organising anything etc.

@Moosey898 16w5d. It’s just a private one because so far I’ve had 6, 9 and 12 weeks with NHS and waiting for 20 just felt like such a long time! I hope your scan goes well Monday.

Yea the wait between 12 and 20 just seems like forever!

Oh I couldn't wait between 12 and 20 - it's mean to make us wait that long! Mine is 16+4, with fetal medicine at St George's so still NHS but new location etc. I've heard good things about the unit there which is always nice.

I was lucky enough to get a peek of mine last Monday. So glad because the wait between 12 and 20 is just tooo long. I'll be 21 weeks when i get my 20 week scan xx

Hi all,
I've been on the due in Feb thread but my EDD is now 28 Jan after my 12 week scan Monday. Now waiting for my combined screening results. I'm 39 third pregnancy after a MMC last July and MC in Feb this year. Never got this far before trying hard to take each day at a time. Still feeling very nauseous, crazy sense of smell, and generally pretty tired. Enjoying reading through your updates :)

Welcome! Sorry about your history. Mine is similar. Let’s stay positive about this one though - we’ve made it this far!

peps2917 · 26/07/2025 10:45

I received an email from my midwife saying abnormal results usually result in a phone call 3 days after the tests so hopefully this means I have nothing to worry about. Fingers crossed!! Off on holiday on Wednesday so I want to have a clear mind!

The flight is going to be 2 hours long - would you guys recommend wearing compression socks?? I’ve ordered some just in case…

My denim shorts don’t fit anymore so need to think more creatively about my packing and what to take! Lots of flowy dresses I think.

peps2917 · 26/07/2025 16:41

I got my results back!! Super low risk thankfully. I feel like I can relax now 🥰

WildFinch · 26/07/2025 17:30

That's wonderful news @peps2917 ! So glad you can relax and enjoy things a bit more. Impressed they came back on a Saturday. What you said about the call within 3 days has helped reassure me too. Hopefully mine come soon!

Interested in the flight advice. I've just booked a holidays to Rhodes for September and that's around 4 hours.

Confusedmermaid1 · 26/07/2025 18:24

I’m also off to Greece in Sept so would appreciate flight advice as well!

I asked DH to book us the aisle, he booked the window before I found out I was pregnant but now I want to be able to get up as often as I need..

Moosey898 · 26/07/2025 18:33

Aisle seat is always a good shout so you can move and go to the bathroom whenever you need! I've done 2 long haul and 1 short haul flight so far this pregnancy, wore flight socks and moved as much as I could (moving feet, legs and ankles regularly under the seat in front and then getting up and walking/stretching). Stay hydrated too, I feel better not drinking any fizzy drinks too and sticking with water or juice.

That was the advice from my midwife too - compression socks, hydration, and movement 🙂

I don’t want to jinx it but today is the first day I haven’t had nausea or been sick since 5 weeks. When I first woke up felt a little sick but ate and was fine even managed a walk with my little boy which really help!

Fingers and toes crossed you are turning a corner! It honestly feels so good to feel semi normal again! I’m on day 4 and feel back to myself now, long may it last!

I hope so. Even if I start to get better days in the bad I would be grateful. I hope it carries on for you feeling normal!!

peps2917 · 26/07/2025 20:37

@Moosey898 thank you!! We got the seats right at the front so will have lots of extra leg room to wiggle the legs. I will definitely drink lots of water too. Thank you!

TigerLily38 · 26/07/2025 23:39

When are people planning on starting to buys things? Don’t want to buy too soon in case anything happens but don’t want to leave it too long and have to get everything at the same time
