Thanks everyone. Glad baby is here and safe!
I have quite a lot of pain in my abdomen & under the ribs. Also have had a headache since surgery. To top it off my feet are swollen!
Has anyone else experienced any pain/headaches after a C-section?

Did you have a spinal ? That might be what the headache is from but you will need to speak to the doctors about that it is a complication of a spinal, you get a lot of trapped air from section that might be the abdo pain mine was in my shoulders, I’ve already packed my peppermint tea that’s what I used to help me.

@BrightGoose I've been given a room on the neonatal unit right by the room where Luca is, I can stay until Mon, then go home and we'll come in each day until he can go home. I'm ready for my own bed and familiar surroundings as well as getting some proper sleep and energy for feeding and when he comes home.
Been having cuddles and trying him on the breast, he's just got to learn how to suckle, one of the neonatal nurses gave him a bottle and he seemed to be getting the grasp of suckling.
Definitely feels like my milk is starting to come in now, so hopefully that will help too, forgot what it feels like when it does come in.
Have been feeling quite tired and sore.

Second the spinal question. I had a vaginal birth however they pierced the wrong part of my spine with the epidural. I ended up with what they call a dural puncture and the head and neck aches were horrific. Had to go in for a procedure to help fix it. Does it get better when you lie down? It’s one of the features of them

Hi all - I don’t know if anyone remembers me but I left the group in December due to a TFMR. I just wanted to pop back in and say good luck with all your births!! You are smashing it, and I hope it all goes well!
I’m currently pregnant again (anxiety central!), but I wouldn’t have survived the last pregnancy without all of you!

@BrightGoose @Poster57 I did have spinal anaesthetic, but I don't think it's that kind of headache, haven't noticed it getting better when I lie down.
I see my OB tomorrow to get my dressing changed so I will mention it to her.
Swelling in my feet went down overnight but then got worse with activity this morning 😭

How many of us are yet to have our babies? I’m 39+3 today and lost my mucus plug this morning. Last time I didn’t lose it until I was already having contractions so it was a definitive sign whereas this time I’m hoping it means labour is coming soon!

Still trying to avoid giving birth on Wednesday as it’s my daughter’s 2nd birthday!

Still pregnant here 38 weeks tomorrow … section in 9 days omg I am uncomfortable now 🤣

Still pregnant as well! 40+4 and also lost my mucus plug yesterday. Having quite a lot of pain in my lower back and really hope contractions are about to start 😅 Not really sure what to do to get things going!

I'm 38 + 4, feeling hot, huge and hangry!! If there is any nesting instinct in me, I CBA to enact it 🤣 Have two fans pointed at me, feet up and on high alert for contractions/waters/show/ANYTHING.

40+5 and no baby, no signs yet either and it's nearly the end of the road for me.

I was supposed to have an induction yesterday but they couldn't fit the balloon (I'm attempting a VBAC so they couldn't offer anything else). They sent me home and I've got one last attempt tomorrow but also a c-section booked for the same in case I'm not ready still.

Baby was loving all the attention though and got excited during the examination, so at least he's still healthy and thriving.

TBH I was very upset/defeated yesterday but DH and I dropped DD off at nursery this morning and headed for the coast - it's been so nice just the two of us at the beach and we've been for a long walk. I'm feeling at peace with whatever happens.

I obviously just make a very comfortable home for my babies and they don't want to leave! Plus my cervix is like an iron fortress!! With DD none of the induction methods moved it a millimeter either!

Hi everyone! Our baby girl arrived yesterday morning at 38+6, weighing 6lb6 💖 Apparantly, my pushing stage was only 8 minutes according to the midwife's report (I was pretty desperate to get her out 🙈😂).. It took me longer to deliver my placenta 😂 My water's actually broke early on Saturday morning but she wasn't born for another 26 hours. We were home by about 6pm lastnight.

Hope everyone that's still pregnant is managing ok with this weather 😫🙈❤️

@LeBonBon I feel you I was upset when my birth plan went out the window but like you just have to carry on and know that baby will come x good luck tomorrow !

Over 41 weeks now and feels like it's not going to happen??

On a separate note, can anyone recommend a cloth sling? Presumably they're all the same? We got given a baby carrier but it seems too rigid for a newborn for just around the house?

Hi all 😊 still pregnant holding off till Friday. Baby has been a real pickle this week with reduced movements and driving my brain into meltdowns. So I'm literally counting down the hours! I have a few cloth slings if your down south you can have some. I never got on with slings as my boobs got in the way to feed.

Arrived in the wee hours this morning at 41+0, weighing 7lbs13oz and delivered via c-section after a trial of labour. Proud of myself for attempting a VBAC but also knowing when to stop for the best. Didn't feel like an emergency and I'm so in love with my boy 🥰

I can't believe it 38 weeks today and my pre op tomorrow!!! 😍. I'm so excited yet terrified. Had a lovely pregnancy massage today. And getting my hair done tomorrow before baby turns everything topsy turvy!
