if like me you’ve just got your BFP, then it’s likely you’re due in January too!
congratulations.

Oh the boobs! Mine ache and now have lots of strong veins showing in them. i have been staying away for the weekend for work and I phoned my husband this Morning to tell him I caught sight of my boobs in the mirror while getting undressed for the bath and i didn't recognise them as they were so veiny 😂

I’ve spontaneously booked a scan for tomorrow at 5:30pm! I should be 9 weeks today, so I’ll update tomorrow how it goes. I have had one previous MMC and one perfectly healthy pregnancy, so I don’t have a clue how this will go, but hoping for the best!

Hope everyone is doing well - or as well as we can do in the first trimester!! 😅 💪

Hard sometimes not to overthink. But it’s normal. I remember with my first having the same as well.

I definitely feel like I’m showing a lot earlier this time!

It's amazing how much they grow in such a short space of time! Oh I crnt wait for mine Friday I should be 11 weeks then so my scan should look like yours last one i had was 5 weeks and it was just a little blob. Was baby happy moving about xxx

Hi all, I’m 6w5d and have had some light spotting since Thursday. It’s more brown and not consistent but a bit more tonight. Do you think just wait or do you think it’s worth getting assessed?

Sorry to ask a silly question but when you say you're 10w+5 measuring bang on. Is this 10w+5 from when you believe you conceived or it's 10w+5 from your last period?

I get confused with whether the scan dates should align with our last period or when we believe we conceived. Sorry.

The standard dating is from your last period. You can measure gestational age but that’s not how it’s generally done. Baby can measure slightly big or small from the date you’re expecting though. For example, I went on Sat for a scan - dates would have been 8+3 but baby was measuring 8+5.

Had a reassurance scan today after the spotting on Saturday. All looking good, heartbeat clear, but measuring 5w5d which explains the lack of feeling rotten yet.

@NiftySheep brown is old blood and if you've no cramping or pain I wouldn't worry. If the blood turns red and you get pain you could contact EPAU. My friend who had IVF said at this early stage its actually better to go for HCG bloods rather than a scan as its more accurate. I'm sure all is well!

@Sunshine1621 the clinics will date from the first day of your last period as you can't pinpoint exact dates of conception unless it was IVF. As @RealTealQueen said they may adjust what you are slightly depending on how you're measuring.

@SureLook well I’m 7+3 based on LMP but I’ve a long cycle so a bit earlier than the calcs usually suggest. I’m in NI, so we only have our dating app at our 12 week booking. So will prob not know an actual due date until then.

Starting to feel a bit ropey, the thought of cooking anything makes me gag. Living on carbs from packets.

Im the same i have long cycles and ovulate late in my cycle so I've just lied about my period date tbh because I know when I ovulated and only dtd once that cycle. Xx

Well, today im actually feeling a bit alive for once. Sickness at a minimum, normally 8 o'clock hits, and that's me for the day! But im feeling good chores done washing on the line. I feel like im on a roll, haha.

I think the bliss of the 2nd trimester is near ladies. im so excited for that xx

@Nynm23 ah I see. Makes sense. I'm in Ireland and we're the same. Our dating happens at the 12 weeks scan. Hopefully you don't feel too bad!

I've now got all my appointments booked in (put on my big girl pants and accepted that booking appointments will not be the cause of anything going wrong - if it goes wrong, it goes wrong regardless!). Next early scan 17th, booking appointment 20th, 12 week scan should be bang on 12 weeks on 27th.

I can't get out of my head that next scan or the 12 week scan will bring bad news 😔
