Hi guys,

if like me you’ve just got your BFP, then it’s likely you’re due in January too!
congratulations.

Also I haven't been able to eat or keep anything down and finally wanted food and was smashing in some lovely Greek food (I was having the best time in about 5 weeks) when my MIL started to say “are you sure you should be having that much salt” luckily she was abruptly cut off by my lovely SIL 🤣 MIL has also started to sneak in little opinions on how we should do things too. Honestly never seen this side to her. Pregnancy must bring out a side to these MILs we don’t know they had 🤣 she is incredibly lovely…just way more opinionated than I thought 🙃

Miracledust29 · 04/06/2025 18:12

@SureLook that's a nice gap between them though and I wouldn't worry about the age that seems to be the norm these days! Will this one be your last? Yep I've definitely been eating small and often 🤣 I've fancied a lot of fruit though so not the worst thing I guess.

@peps2917 congratulations! I don't blame you on bringing the scan forward. Luckily due to my past they had me in early, I don't know how people just wait until 8+weeks to find out all is ok! Good luck for this Sunday 😊 mines this Friday and it's been the longest week of my life. Hoping to hear a heart beat 🤞🏼

Yeah you're right about the intrusive thoughts, my partner keeps telling me the same I think I just worry that because I'm now on progesterone that it can mask stuff going on but need to keep positive and stop being a negative nelly about it all 😆

Yes 35 is a good age I think, I mean ideally we would have waited later if time was on our side as having a full renovation on the house right now is not ideal 🤣 but hopefully that comes together by end of summer x

I’m just dipping in and out and struggle to keep up but had to comment @WanderWalker the MIL saga starts when you are pregnant until one of you die😂 honestly the judgment, comments..and I thought my MiL was fine until I got pregnant. She’s not the worst, but sometimes I just think she doesn’t even think before the words come out.

@Miracledust29 we did a Reno during my first pregnancy- no running loo for 2 weeks at 34 weeks pregnant..wouldn’t recommend, keep on them to get it wrapped up asap.

Still relatively symptomless here, metal mouth and knackered just at 6w 4d..I can’t remember when my sickness started last time, I know it was the worst around 9-15 weeks last time. Think I will book a reassurance scan next week when DP returns from a 4 day stag leaving me with a just started walking 1 year old 🫠

WanderWalker · 04/06/2025 19:04

@Nynm23 this made laugh about the MIL 🤣

I bet you are exhausted chasing a little one around during your first trimester. Have you booked yourself a relaxing 4 day break for when your DP returns 🤭

SureLook · 04/06/2025 19:14

@WanderWalker fair play to your SIL for stepping in. Pregnancy brings out the crazy in people!

@Miracledust29 yeah, this will be our last. I never wanted more than two. I don't want to be outnumbered so hopefully it's not twins 😂 what about yourself?
That's great that you're craving fruit, it could be way worse!

@Nynm23 I agree with you completely! I always thought my MIL was a sweet angle until we announced our pregnancy. The manipulation and carry on is crazy!
And good luck for the four days of solo parenting.

I just bought sea bands and they seem to be working so far?? Has anyone tried them? The nausea has definitely subsided… not sure if it’s a placebo?

Any ideas on how to get away with them at work?

I’ve been using them for a few weeks. I find they work better if you take them off at night and then put them straight on when you wake up in the morning.

The only way I disguised them was wearing long sleeved tops, which isn’t easy in warm weather.

PilatesAndLattes · 04/06/2025 16:47

Haha 😅 my mother is the same! “I never got morning sickness or any stretch marks when I was pregnant” and she had five pregnancies, including twins!

I sometimes think they just forget that they actually did...

I put mine on first thing every Morning and I do think they take the edge off!

OMG. I don't do too well with people giving me their unwelcome opinions 😂Apparently all my MIL had during her pregnancies were swollen feet! I am clinging on for dear life feeling rubbish, working full time, running a sideline business and trying to keep all the animals upright while DH is also picking up some extra work for me so I really don't need to hear it from her how she breezed through with no sickness and no job/business to try and keep afloat. 😆

peps2917 · 05/06/2025 08:19

@lifebeginz yes, they don't fully get rid of the nausea but they defo do something!

RealTealQueen · 05/06/2025 16:32

Fatigue and nausea are kicking my bum today!! 🤢 How’s everyone else?

Ive been on and off with nausea today but had a full on slobber nap this afternoon hahaha. Feel like im just getting to the point of this is my new norm with how I feel xx

SureLook · 05/06/2025 16:55

@RealTealQueen I'm exhausted and feeling very heavy and full. I think constipation is starting so that's great 🥲

Miracledust29 · 05/06/2025 17:00

@SureLook ive had the constipation so bad ever since my bfp. I look 6 months pregnant from the bloating 🤣😩 worrying about my scan tomorrow because of it haha. Do you know if there's anything we can take for it?

Moosey898 · 05/06/2025 17:04

My nausea and tiredness don't feel as bad and I'm worried 😫 hate being sick, hate not being sick. Early pregnancy sucks!

Same. I’m so uncomfortable - have been for days!

SureLook · 05/06/2025 17:57

@Miracledust29 I'm so bloated as well. I'm not sure how much longer I'm gonna be able to hide this for 🙈😂 oh best of luck for the scan. Let us know! I'm actually not sure what you can take, if anything!

@Moosey898 try not to worry. I think it's normal for it to be up and down!

@RealTealQueen solidarity! It ain't easy.

VanessaShanessaJenkins99 · 05/06/2025 20:07

🤣🤣 im pleased its not just me that's constipated !

Moosey898 · 05/06/2025 20:39

@VanessaShanessaJenkins99 thinking about it I'm probably only pooping once every 3 days currently at most....no wonder I'm feeling so blocked and bloated!!!!

WanderWalker · 05/06/2025 21:04

Yep. I’m the same very nauseous all day every day, super bloated and struggling to go to the toilet. The joys 🤣

Ive started being physically sick at night. Is anyone else having this? I don’t ever remember vomiting at night in my previous pregnancies

Nynm23 · 05/06/2025 21:26

@WanderWalker sadly I vomited round the clock last time..I’m hoping I suffered enough last time and the pregnancy gods will be good to me this time. I won’t hold my breath though.

Miracledust29 · 05/06/2025 21:32

@SureLook horrible isn't it 🤣 I was bad before but even worse now I'm on the progesterone. Sometimes I've gone 3-4 days without anything! 🤣🤦🏼‍♀️Tmi. The only thing I've been having constantly is peppermint tea but I'm even starting to go off the smell and taste of that now!
Thank you I will let you know how I get on. I literally feel it could go either way though as my symptoms really calmed down but then they seem to have ramped up today.

I was the same with my first - all day every day and not too bad with my second. Fingers crossed you avoid it this time 😊 x

SureLook · 05/06/2025 23:00

@Miracledust29 horrible! I was so uncomfortably bloated earlier on but it's eased a bit now.
I've everything crossed for you for tomorrow but I'm sure all is well ❤️
