@TigerLily38 I don’t mind at all 😊 yeah I had a bit of cramping like mild period pains. There is so much going on with your body and hormones it’s hard to know what’s normal/ what’s not and it’s such a worry isn’t it.I hope you’re ok xx

my 4 year old has his birthday on 25 Jan and this one’s EDD is in early Jan… then 6 year old has her birthday in October. I must like making babies that completely avoid being heavily pregnant in heatwaves 😂

Had a positive test on Saturday after nearly 4 years of trying which unfortunately included 1 miscarriage along the way. Currently 5+1 and super anxious.

I have a 14 year old from a previous relationship and haven’t been on here since she was much younger.

joining as I’m exactly 5 weeks with my second! My daughter is 3 - when pregnant with her I was sick from 5 weeks 2 days all the way until giving birth (I threw up every single day, the last day I threw up was on the day of my csection 🙃🙃🙃) - SO I am really hoping things are a little different this time around…. Feel like I am counting down until it starts though 😂

also have seen some comments about brown discharge - I had this with my daughter too at around 5 weeks and also full on red bleeding at around 8 weeks - both times everything was fine though and no explanation? It was super scary though and I’d rather not any unexplainable scares this time around 😄 anyway hope you are all doing good today! 🩷🩷 congratulations everyone

Sorry for the photo, but I’m a bit worried that I’ve got a bit of a pink tinge to my discharge. I’ve just filled in the EPU self referral form but they’re not back open now until 8am tomorrow!
I’m 7 weeks today and other than a bit of breast tenderness I’ve really not felt any symptoms yet. Do I need to be worrying or am I overthinking things?

Hi All - tentatively joining this group! My EDD is the 29th of January - I am exactly 5 weeks pregnant like you @Celina94 ! My son is 2 and a half!
I am super anxious as i am an older mum and i don't seem to be progressing on my clear blue weeks indicator test! I'm still stuck on 1-2 weeks! Im so worried :(

Hey guys i got my positive yesterday on digital clear blue and today i woke up to some light blood which has gotten a little more throughout the day .. accompanied by some cramping for three days now.. this didn't happen with my DS1 so idk whats going on can someone help :(

I dont think anyone can know whats going on - the time between getting your positive test and that first scan seems like a lifetime!
There are so many reasons why there might be blood - it might be absolutely nothing - but there is no way of knowing :( its just a waiting game.
Could you book in and have a reassurance scan somewhere in a few weeks?

Regarding posts about discharge/spotting it can be very normal but understandably scary!! If in dout always get checked out tho xx

Is anyone having hot flushes? Im not sure if I've got a bug or just pg symtoms wiping me out but the hot flushes are bad worse in the night waking up sweating or generally getting hot sweats randomly xx

Yes this is me. I’m getting the worst hot Flushes to the point I’m sleeping with a fan on all night and I’m half tempted to get the air-conditioning unit out to try help it!

@Jadeypie yes! I am also getting hot flushes. I was in a shop yesterday and I was literally drenched in sweat 😩 I am also just absolutely exhausted. Hoping I will have less symptoms in the second trimester!

Oh I'm.glad it's not just me having the hot flushes!! I was getting worried I had a bug or somthing because I'm the type of person who's freezing all the time haha xx

@PinkFlamingo888 & @Isabella987 I've also had some brown/pink spotting today. I noticed it this morning around 10:30am but it's basically gone now. I'm super super anxious though cause I had an MMC in January. I know the EPAU don't do anything in Ireland until you're 6 weeks which I'll be on Monday. I've a private scan booked for when I'm 7 weeks. It's just an anxious stressful waiting game now unfortunately ❤️

No totally norma, I had it with my first pregnancy as well. I’m the same though normally always freezing

@SureLook My friend has just told me about an Ectropion Cervix, which I’d not heard of before, but a quick google has put my mind at rest that that’s a likely scenario and it seems quite innocent! Finger crossed 🤞 it doesn’t develop into anything more!

Hi everyone.

I'm 35 and 6 weeks pregnant with my second. Estimated due date is 22nd Jan 2026.

We weren't planning but we are over the moon that our 4 year old will have a sibling.

I have a history of MC which is why we stopped trying a couple of years ago - so missing my period this month and getting the BFP was a mix of emotions!

I've just started a new job too so won't qualify for enhanced mat leave this time so not the best timing but is it ever a good time?

Anxiously waiting to get to 8 weeks to have the booking in appointment with midwives and hoping to get an early reassurance scan after 8 weeks too 😊

I'd love to join the Facebook group too if anyone has a link?

Most looking forward to pregnancy and mat leave in normal life not lock down! Definitely going to join antenatal groups this time around and meet some other new mums 😊

Just to reassure pps I have ectropian cervix and I have carried to full term, its also never caused me any gynea issues!

I had awful sickness and nausea last time from week 5 all the way to the end - multiple trips to hospital for drip to rehydrate. Hoping as I'm week 6 I've maybe had a bit of luck this time around.

Not having the sickness and nausea also scares me that I'm going to MC so it's a blessing a curse! Anxious times 😬

@behindthelight the whole thing is just anxiety inducing!

I’ve got such a horrible cold since I came back from my holiday but 6+5 today! I’ve had to log off from work for a bit because I feel so congested and I might have to send OH out for honey and lemon!

Just to update… I had a call with the GP earlier today and she’s booked me in with EPAS on Tuesday for a scan and a chat with the midwife / consultant because of my history of recurrent MC.

I’m a bit concerned as my nausea isn’t nearly as bad today. Anyone else find it lessens sometimes? When I had my MMC, I remember thinking “my heartburn hasn’t been as bad for the last few days” before the bleeding started so a lessening of symptoms is a worry. Everything is a worry, let’s face it!! 😂
