@BGxxx I'm sorry that sounds really stressful. So strange! Maybe try again later and see if someone else picks up. How did you order your own bloods and scan? I assume scan is private is it the same for the bloods?

Joining you guys, got my BFP this morning, haven’t even told my partner yet as he’s working away, doesn’t feel right to do over the phone? Is that mental?

I have a 13 month old DD so this pregnancy will definitely be different than the last. I lay down a lot - I had HG up to 20 weeks, then she had suspected fetal growth restriction. It was a rough ride, I’m hoping this time isn’t as horrid. Though same early symptoms this time - metallic mouth taste and no appetite..not like me at all!

@LoveaCaramelLatte we were all inexperienced once. Don't worry! I've not had a scan that early myself. I'd say it will be just to confirm location. They won't be able to see much else but it will be reassuring none the less! I'm gonna book in for when I'm about 7ish weeks. I'll be a nervous wreck though. My MMC baby passed at 7 weeks.

@newbaby3 I'll probably tell work sometime in the next couple of weeks when I'm 5/6 weeks. I'm a little anxious after my loss but I just wanna give it a bit more time. I work in health care so on my feet a lot and busy so I wanna be able to relax where I can 😂

@Nynm23 that's not mental at all! It's a lovely moment to share with your partner. I'd wait until you're face to face. Hopefully you're not sick this time 🤞🏻

It’s so fustrating!! My mum said the same actually, maybe I just got someone unsympathetic 🤣 i was going to get bloods done at the clinic I had my scans with my daughter but they’ve got no appointments this week😭 so I’ve ordered some home ones, god knows how that’ll go 🤣 but I can go there for the scan at least

@BGxxx I'm sorry they made you feel like that!! I had to ring them when I got my bfp due to a previous ectopic and they had me in for bloods and a scan pretty much straight away. It's a shame they have done that to you uts stressful as it is xx

I know! My ectopic ruptured at 7 weeks and I didn’t have any symtoms of it before that and really good line progression so it’s not like I can rely on no symptoms and lines to reassure me! I feel like it’s easier to just get them privately at this point🤣

I was exactly the same as you - I tested positive on a Wednesday morning and didn't tell my husband until Thursday night when he got home from working away 😅 didn't feel right over the phone and was so much nicer in person! Hope this pregnancy is a lot easier for you - praying for myself too 😅x

@ttcjourney20001 I'm good, thanks. I'm wrecked in the evenings and feel very full. Sensitive nipples too. How are you doing? No I haven't joined yet. I'm gonna wait another little while before I do. Just a little anxious!

Oh girl, what’s not wrong with me? Constant sickness, headaches, tiredness, no appetite, vivid dreams - like really disturbing ones. Cramps, like stabbing pains but not constant (probably growing pains) but having an early scan tomorrow because they want to see me due to my prev losses. Fingers crossed all goes well. Excited but very nervous because it can go either way 🙈

Please could I ask advice from you guys...having a wobble 😔😔 I keep getting pain above my collarbone, happening most days/every other day and really uncomfortable. Nothing in the tip of my shoulder, just in that hollow bit above the collarbone and on it. Of course google tells me to worry about ectopic, but I'm only 4w3d - that's too early right?

Has anyone else had a similar pain and it was ok? I don't even think EPU can see me this early as there wouldn't be anything to see on a scan yet! I've started getting really anxious in case it's ectopic and I leave things too late 😭 sorry if this sounds stupid xx

I had shoulder tip pain with my ectopic but only at 7 weeks when I’d been internally bleeding for over 12 hours. It’s honestly such an obvious pain, right at the edge of your shoulder. It was one of the very last symptoms I had, I’d been waiting all day for surgery by this point so I really wouldn’t worry if I were you!

@ttcjourney20001 aww, you're going through it! I'm sure all will be absolutely fine at the scan tomorrow.

Sorry @TigerLily38 I've no advice or personal experience. I'd go by what @BGxxx has said. I'm sure everything is perfectly fine!

@ttcjourney20001 how far along will you be for your scan tomorrow? Fingers crossed all is good.

We're in a similar boat, I have a 13 month old too!
I'm feeling nervous and excited about the age gap in pretty equal measure. I found out I was pregnant again the day I returned back to work from maternity leave so that should be an interesting conversation when the time comes!

Aw that’s lovely. I haven’t told my children yet, although I am surprised they are not asking questions because I’m being sick so much! Glad they are all looking after you 😊

I have my midwife appointment next week and have booked an early scan next Friday. I am super nervous more so this time round.

I am thinking I will tell work after my early scan. Was going to try and wait till my 12 week one, but the sickness is kicking my butt! Luckily I work a lot from home, but I’m sure if I don’t say something soon they’ll notice I’m not going in as often.

I’m feeling exhausted this time round too. Are you the same?

@Nynm23 congratulations! Not the same but I waited for my husband to come home. I was a bit in shock and delivered the news in a terrible way, he keeps laughing about it! How long is he away for?

@BGxxx nothing to lose if you try again! Glad you can get a scan at the previous place anyway and good luck with the hcg test.

@ttcjourney20001 welcome! I've been following your journey on the May thread! Sounds like you've had a really rough time. I hope your scan tomorrow goes well.

@TigerLily38 if you're worried I would ring. The worst they are going to do is tell you it's not a symptom or to ring back later. They didn't even ask for my personal details the first time I called. I rang again today and I'm having a scan at 5wks so it might not be too early.

@LoveaCaramelLatte He’s back tomorrow. Almost did it on FT this evening but luckily I didn’t just hold up the test as he straight panned to his sister 😂

@ThisNomadicLife I’ll prob have to tell them around the 7/8 week mark given how rancid that period was last time. Also terrified/ecited about the age gap in equal measure 😂

@SureLook just for some reassurance, I had an ectopic and didn't get any shoulder pain i was gone 7 weeks before it was picked up. I just had a lot of pain and spotting. I think you'll be fine it's just very worrying and nerve-racking this early. I totally get it xxx

Supposed to be around 7wks6d, but I’m expecting it to be a little out by a couple of days. Scan is in an hour and a half, absolutely bricking it. Feel sick (I know that’s normal for me right now) but I feel even more sick, like from the pits of my stomach, I’m shaky and nervous. Been tossing and turning since the crack of dawn 🤢
