Hi!

Just thought i’d start a thread as I know a few of us have found out we are expecting! Would love to hear everyone’s stories to start us off as I know December feels soooo far away yet!

I’ll go first, I already have one child, he is 6 years old Smile Totally did not plan to have anymore once me and his dad split, I was one and done. However, years on met my current other half and I just knew straight away I had a change of heart. We started trying 18 months ago with negatives every month, later finding out there was infertility on both our sides. We moved in together January this year after deciding we would give IVF a try once we were settled in new GPs etc, only to find out we were pregnant! This came to an abrupt end 3 days later where we had what’s known as a chemical pregnancy. Absolutely heartbroken I had half given up, what were the chances we would fall pregnant again so soon after so long of nothing?

Well, here we are, after only 1 cycle later, pregnant again! Hopefully this time is different for us, it definetly feels different! Grin

Hi everyone! Congratulations to everyone for your positive tests ☺️ I’m also due December and is my first time pregnant after 7 months TTC. Feeling okay so far just super anxious about the first trimester and praying everything will be okay! 🫶🏼 would love to be added to the WhatsApp group if poss!

rosyday · 12/04/2025 14:21

Hello everyone, can I join too? I can hardly believe it but I think I’m pregnant too ☺️ We’ve been trying for six months, and I was worried that it wasn’t going to happen because I am still breastfeeding my toddler (21 months) and I thought that was maybe preventing me falling pregnant somehow. I took a test three days before my period was due and was so disappointed because there was no line- but yesterday my period was three days late so I took another test, and woohoo! A faint line 😊 My due date will be around 16 December xxx

Sorry to hear your test was maybe a bit lighter @Muddysocks1 , did you say what brand you were using? Even though my bloods were good the brown spotting has continued and was a bit more this morning. I’m with you in the worrying wait for whatever happens.

im so hoping it’s just a sensitive post-lletz cervix/rigorous scan/old implantation blood. Progesterone was over 100 and serum approaching 500. Not that I know what that means. Hopefully they’ll have doubled tomorrow..

Thank you, using easy@home. Have also done some clear blue digitals (but I know they’re not necessarily reliable). They’re still positive but either not getting darker or looking slightly lighter, and clear blue digital still saying 1-2 weeks (which it did originally on Monday).

Fingers crossed for you that blood work looks good tomorrow. It’s so hard not knowing what’s going on in your own body!

Nosejug · 13/04/2025 08:03

@Muddysocks1 since they’re still fairly strong and not distinctly fading, maybe it would be worth trying to get bloods which would take all the variables out of the strips? I have heard easy@home have uneven amounts of dye on top of all the variables with hydration. Clear blue non digital for me looks exactly the same every day, and the one steps too wavered and dried so differently to the wet result they were pretty useless. The boots early tests were the only ones I saw progress on, and one day it was lighter but later that day way darker?! Just proves how undependable it all is.

Autumn94x · 13/04/2025 09:14

@Nosejug Hi! May I ask what your HCG levels were? I had my bloods taken on Friday and my HCG was 414, with progesterone at 58. I’m having my next round of bloods in about an hour. I am 5 weeks. Good luck with your tests today x

Yes that’s a good idea, I’ve got a doctors appt so will ask them. I have a feeling they’ll say no and just need to wait and see, but worth a go! I thought about ordering one online but it wouldn’t arrive for a couple of days so not sure if it’d be worth it.
How are you doing today?

Nosejug · 13/04/2025 12:21

@Autumn94x hey, I just had my repeat done right there! Hope yours has gone well too. Won’t get the results till 6pm (impressive for a Sunday) but on Friday progesterone was 109 and they said “serum” but googling tells me it’s just the way the midwife referred to serum hcg. It was 474. I’m 4 weeks tomorrow I think, but I know I must have implanted incredibly early. Nervous to find out what's what. They’ll let me know my “plan” either which way.

Nosejug · 13/04/2025 12:26

@Muddysocks1 you could let them know how much the stress of it is affecting you, it’s so difficult to be firm with a dr but I hope you get one. It’s felt better not to be relying on tests. Bleeding still just spotting and I think decreased a fair bit. I kept trying to speculate with the midwife but she was (in a professional and fair way) shutting me down haha. It’s like, maybe things are fine, maybe they’re not… Hope you’re keeping yourself placid x

CheeryPombear · 13/04/2025 12:32

Due Dec 20th. IVF pregnancy after 8 embryos (5 previous transfers and this one) and a MMC in Dec 22 following a natural pregnancy. We've been trying 10 years. This doesn't seem real and is super super stressful for me at the moment.

Autumn94x · 13/04/2025 12:58

@Nosejug I did my bloods at 11am and just got my results back! HCG levels have more than doubled from 414 to 908 — now I just have to wait and see if they'll book me in for another scan, since I had the coil in so there's a higher chance it could be ectopic. Best of luck to you!!

Nosejug · 13/04/2025 13:05

@Autumn94x thats brilliant!! So you conceived with the coil in?! My goodness, I’m guessing that’s why they’ve been seeing you so early? I wish I could get such fast results! So they think even with really good numbers you could still be ectopic? It’s a shame you can’t just purely enjoy the great numbers, but I hope very much they’re just being extra cautious.

aw @CheeryPombear congratulations for crossing this hurdle, I totally get the fear. I’ve had two failed rounds of ivf and one mmc in October 24, and this is spontaneous too. I’m 39 so not much time to spare. Your tests look great, I hope everything goes smoothly for you.

Hello! I'm due on the 22nd. Third baby. Bit of a surprise as we were TTC but our previous 2 DC took a year of careful cycle tracking, taking ovulation tests etc. This one, we literally DTD once about a week after I had my coil removed 😆

DragonMother93 · 13/04/2025 15:31

Hi. 👋🏼 I’m due 8th December and the nausea has well and truly kicked in today, send help😂 has a second WhatsApp been set up? Id love to join.

I’m due my 2nd and similar story. Took us 1.5 years with cycle tracking (sadly had an early loss in this time), but then after the loss took us ages again to get pregnant. We decided to start trying this month…only done it once and here we are. You just can’t predict it 😅

I’m not sure. I don’t think so. I would probably join too

Nosejug · 13/04/2025 16:41

Well so quickly it’s been taken away, my first bloods were great but they’ve not changed and they think it might be ectopic. I don’t know how to even continue trying. I wish you all the very best with your pregnancies.

Autumn94x · 13/04/2025 16:43

@Nosejug Yep, exactly the reason why! I found out on Thursday I’m pregnant and was booked into EPU for a scan the very next day. The scan showed my coil had moved and wasn’t doing its job anymore, so they took it out while I was there. They couldn’t see a pregnancy yet, but my bloods say otherwise—so they’re scanning me again on Tuesday in case it was just too early to spot anything on Friday. Just my luck really… I’ve already got four little ones and this was definitely not in the plan!

Luckypinkduck · 13/04/2025 16:56

What's everyone planning about when to tell people? My plan was to wait as long as possible, like 20 weeks but I am struggling already! Every conversation feels like I am avoiding saying everything on my mind haha. I have told my husband if I last another week I will be impressed with myself.

DownWithCremeEggs · 13/04/2025 17:13

@Luckypinkduck due to the nature of my work (I'm a chemist and work with some pretty nasty chemicals), I'm going to have to tell my work pretty much ASAP. Everyone else, I'll probably wait until the 20 week scan/when I can't hide it anymore 🤣
