Hi!

Just thought i’d start a thread as I know a few of us have found out we are expecting! Would love to hear everyone’s stories to start us off as I know December feels soooo far away yet!

I’ll go first, I already have one child, he is 6 years old Totally did not plan to have anymore once me and his dad split, I was one and done. However, years on met my current other half and I just knew straight away I had a change of heart. We started trying 18 months ago with negatives every month, later finding out there was infertility on both our sides. We moved in together January this year after deciding we would give IVF a try once we were settled in new GPs etc, only to find out we were pregnant! This came to an abrupt end 3 days later where we had what’s known as a chemical pregnancy. Absolutely heartbroken I had half given up, what were the chances we would fall pregnant again so soon after so long of nothing?

Well, here we are, after only 1 cycle later, pregnant again! Hopefully this time is different for us, it definetly feels different!

I got my bfp on Saturday (11DPO) and my period was due yesterday. No sign of it 🙌🏻 officially 4+1 today.

I’m so much more anxious this time round! (2nd child) pee’d on way more stick than I did with my 1st!

Just got my BFP today 🤞 due 21st December all going well 🥰🥰

I’m due 21st December too! I got a very faint line yesterday and a darker one today!

Same! Nice! ☺️🤞 I will likely have a planned C-section due to an emergency c-section on my last baby so will probably be more like 15th/16th dec for me tbh!

I also got my BFP today! This will be my 2nd. I have a 20 month old daughter. Due date is coming up as 19th December 🥰

I’m a bit worried as still been testing but progression has slowed. Today (15DPO) looks lighter than the last two days. I had period like cramps last night, although I’ve read that’s normal at 5 week. My temperature is still up today though. So will see what happens but I’m not that hopeful now

Been testing a lot myself, I didn't last time, just weekly with the digitals and I always got a movement from them up to 3+ then stopped (but it was mmc at 10weeks). This time I got 1-2 weeks super early (6dpo according to my opk surge) and it's still 1-2 weeks today which is 8 days later. I'm now testing across brands as my one step weren't showing strong progression (then I learn they're notorious for poor progression) and clear blue look pretty strong but the same. Period would have been due roughly yesterday/today. I'm adding my boots and clear blue today in the hopes that someone can reassure me based on their own readings. (I'm 14dpo but with crazy early implantation).

@Mulner88 sorry you've got this worry, i hope it's just to do with the tests and concentration...which brands are you using?

I thought I’d ask if anyone had any symptoms yet? I have sore boobs and had a day this week of dizziness and nausea but that’s passed again now, have others had that come and go?

@Mitzington i have lots of little tugs and twinges in my uterus (I’m assuming). Google tells me it might be round ligament pain (and that it can be stronger if you’ve a tilted uterus which I do). It’s quite sore when I sneeze! Digestion has slowed down, heart rate is thumpy going up the stairs/walking fast, boobs maybe a bit fuller but not sore. More sensitive gag reflex and very occasional hints of nausea but like, only 2/3 times. And chemical phantom smell has come and gone too. People say every pregnancy is different, even from the same woman.

@Nosejug im feeling the same! With my first took tests then just clear blue every week to see progression.

with this pregnancy I’m testing daily! I feel a lot more anxiety but not sure why?!

ive been exactly the same, did a clear blue at 11DPO and got 1-2 weeks then did another on 14 DPO exactly 4 weeks pregnant and still got 1-2 weeks which worried me a bit as with my first I only found out at 14 DPO and got 2-3 weeks straight away!

I’ve been out bought some more clear blue and plan to take another tomorrow at 4+3 and hoping I get that 2-3 weeks! 🤞🏻

I would say your tests look really strong though!

Thanks so much for your reply @Mama09876 ! I’m glad I’m not alone. I even added opks into my testing regimen as I discovered they show pregnancy when o had my mmc and was waiting to ovulate again. Defiantly blazing and increasing on that test at least.. I’ll take my comfort where I can hah. Every hint of nausea I’m clinging to as encouragement! I hope tomorrow morning we both get out 2-3.

@Nosejug i did the same with the ovulation stick!! 😂 pee’d on one yesterday and it was blazing so that gave me some hope! I’m feeling so tired constantly so that’s a good sign. I do feel quite ‘heavy’ down there today around my uterus so I’m hoping that’s good things.
I was getting some growing pains in my legs and uterus last week but they seem to have disappeared now.

I think I’ll feel more relaxed when I get that 2-3!

Same here @Mama09876 ! (Saying that, my next woe will be 3+ haha). I have a viability scan in two weeks because of my history and I know that’ll be my next real worry.

on a side note, apparently some women never get the 3+ on CB digi, and CB themselves published a report on how some women didn’t get 3+ despite being over the threshold (I’ve read this on here somewhere).

Had an early reassurance scan today... 6wks 3 days and saw a flickering heartbeat. So lovely to see!

I’ve got some cheap boots thin tests and took one and it’s faint but clearly a line. I’d just expect them to be darker but I did take it about half hour ago after drinking a lot of water.

I think I just need to step away from the tests. Right now I’m pregnant and had no signs to suggest otherwise.

Hah I’m just the same, though I’m not letting myself do anything but fmu testing just so there’s a “control” for my pee stick laboratory. My boots strip test (I only did one this morning so I have no comparison) is also a lot fainter than any others if that’s any comfort.

Hi everyone!
I just wanted to introduce myself and join this group, though I’m still in complete shock. This pregnancy was totally unexpected—I actually have a copper coil in and have had it in for over a year. I was supposed to start my period on Saturday and thought I did, but I’ve only had small amounts of brown discharge for the past four days. That really scared me because I’ve had that same thing happen early on in my previous pregnancies, so I took a test and got a BFP!
I rang the EPU and they’ve booked me in for a scan tomorrow. I’m not sure yet whether I’ll go ahead with the pregnancy—I have four very young children already and this has all just taken me by surprise. I’m still processing it all, but wanted to let it out somewhere.

sorry i just realised this was meant for @Muddysocks1 . There really are lots of reasons tests might fluctuate, but it doesn't help relax a person, I hope you're alright. I've just started brown spotting so I'm a bit gutted about that.

@Nosejug aww no, how you feeling this morning? I’ve read a lot of women have small amounts of blood sometimes and go on to have a successful pregnancy. I hope that’s the case for you!

My test was a bit lighter this morning too. Pretty much preparing myself. I had a miscarriage in August. This would be my 2nd loss. Honestly don't know how I'm going to cope if I lose this pregnancy.
