Hi!

Just thought i’d start a thread as I know a few of us have found out we are expecting! Would love to hear everyone’s stories to start us off as I know December feels soooo far away yet!

I’ll go first, I already have one child, he is 6 years old Smile Totally did not plan to have anymore once me and his dad split, I was one and done. However, years on met my current other half and I just knew straight away I had a change of heart. We started trying 18 months ago with negatives every month, later finding out there was infertility on both our sides. We moved in together January this year after deciding we would give IVF a try once we were settled in new GPs etc, only to find out we were pregnant! This came to an abrupt end 3 days later where we had what’s known as a chemical pregnancy. Absolutely heartbroken I had half given up, what were the chances we would fall pregnant again so soon after so long of nothing?

Well, here we are, after only 1 cycle later, pregnant again! Hopefully this time is different for us, it definetly feels different! Grin

Hi all! Found out I’m pregnant and due a week before Christmas. First baby, 33, and have been TTC for a year so it feels like a total miracle! I just didn’t think it was going to happen and have an appt with the GP coming up to start further investigations 🙈 I have really light periods and a previous scan showed a thin uterine lining, so whilst I’m pregnant right now, I am very tentative in getting exciting because I’m worried it won’t stick.
I’ve also been peeing on far too many sticks 🙈 did a clear blue digital yesterday in the morning that said pregnant 1-2 weeks then in the afternoon said not pregnant! But easy at home strips seem to be showing some progression so I’ll leave the digital for a few days.

Muddysocks1 · 08/04/2025 07:26

Has anyone registered their pregnancy with the midwives yet? I went to do it but it says from 6 weeks which feels ages away!

Mama09876 · 08/04/2025 07:30

@Muddysocks1 tentative congratulations! I hope this is a successful pregnancy for you lovely 🤍

this is my 2nd baby and already I’m much more relaxed 😂😂

Ive not register yet, I’ll be doing it around 7 weeks I think, I remember them saying last time from 6 weeks. With it being Easter etc I thought I’ll just wait another week 😂

Yes I've registered but I'm 6+2, they got back to me with an app really quickly for end April xx

Hi everyone,
I'm expecting my 2nd baby mid December. Very excited and hoping that it sticks after having a chemical last year. Hope you're all feeling well.xx

ILoveSleeping · 08/04/2025 10:19

Hi all,
I’m currently 4+1, feeling really anxious as I had a miscarriage in early January. But excited at the same time for a little Christmas baby.
I’m absolutely starving all the time and can’t stop eating 😂
Here’s a test I did yesterday.

Is anyone else just repeatedly testing 🙈 I can’t seem to help myself! It is reassuring when they’re getting darker but stressful when they’re not (even though it’s probably just fluctuations or how dilute pee is etc). I’m going to try and keep some digitals with weeks to use once a week to feel reassured that it’s going up I think

Yes, obsessed. Although I've got 3+ now so I am STOPPING

Yay, I've been looking for a December Due Thread. Massive congratulations. I hope everything goes amazing for you.

I found out i was pregnant last week. Me and my Fiancé decided to TTC and I got my Contraceptive implant taken out 1st march. We then got down to business straight away and were pretty relaxed about it. like we weren't checking fertile days, just going for it. Amazingly we got pregnant straight away. first day of last period was the 10th March. and i found out i was pregnant on 3rd April. i was in utter shock. I had said to him, even though we arent 100% in the ideal position (we move in together in June) we should go for it now as it might take months for my body to settle after god knows how many years on contraceptive. well.. i was wrong haha. but so happy! and in disbelief.
I am currently 4w 1d, Current symptoms are tiredness, constant weeing, breathlessness, very mild nausea every now and again, thirst, and dizziness.

I am a serial tester, i am just so anxious about having so long to wait for a scan. i am testing a lot to check its still there!

About myself : Im 36, and i have a 16yo Daughter already, My fiance has 2 boys, 15 and 11.

yep! i have done about 6 tests since finding out (less than a week ago) I did one last night. and also one this morning. I really need to stop! but its comforting to see the line still there. I bought 15 strip tests off amazon and I am going to try my hardest to stick to 1 test a week for reassurance. but I am pretty certain I will do more.

🤣 that’s my plan!! At least the digital are expensive so it does put me off wasting those. But the cheapies are a whole another story.

Frasmac · 08/04/2025 13:59

Hi all
Trying to keep a positive mindset. I am on pregnancy no.9 with 1 DS age 5. I should be 5 weeks today but I really don't see any line progression since last week. I just took a clear blue digital and its still saying 1-2 weeks like it did last Thursday (granted I haven't used first wee of the day). Also some brown spotting today. Mild cramping yesterday and today. EDD would be 9 Dec.

ILoveSleeping · 08/04/2025 17:19

@ILoveMarmite88Yes due 15th!!
Thank you, I’m just trying to take it one day at a time and shake off the anxiety as I’m feeling it xx

KaToby · 08/04/2025 19:48

I’m going to tentatively join, I’m 10dpo and had a positive today, it’s faint but definitely there (on a pink dye test) EDD is 21st December!

Lemonyfire · 08/04/2025 21:20

@Frasmac sorry to hear this. It's mega stressful. Assume you're on progesterone? I've also had losses and no matter what happens I think our brains are wired up to believe it won't work out because of past experiences and it's so hard to change that.
I'll say the obvious, that spotting/ line progression is not an indication of how your pregnancy is going, however that won't change how you feel and what's happened for you in the past, hope you're okay xx

Hi, I’ve just found out I’m pregnant with my second baby! Due 15th. Bit nervous about it due to a miscarriage at 8 weeks in November x

Muddysocks1 · 09/04/2025 07:25

Did anyone get their Bfp before their period was due? My period is due to today and it’s making me feel uneasy, like I know how it works and why you get your period and it shouldn’t, but I still feel like it could arrive and all be over

I got mine yesterday and my period isn’t due until Saturday!

Frasmac · 09/04/2025 08:53

@Lemonyfire Thank you I appreciate you taking the time to reply! I took a digital today that said not pregnant - last week it said 1-2 weeks so it must be/have been a chemical. Hoping you guys have much more success than me! x

Hi, I’m due the same day. Also feeling nervous as I had a MC in early Jan x

Flowerpots32 · 09/04/2025 10:13

Hi - joining in :) found out a week ago I was pregnant, expecting to be due around 16th December! Mix of emotions after around 15 months trying and 3 chemical pregnancies within that period. Have an early scan booked with the recurrent loss team but still seems a very long way away! How is everyone feeling?
