Hi!

Just thought i’d start a thread as I know a few of us have found out we are expecting! Would love to hear everyone’s stories to start us off as I know December feels soooo far away yet!

I’ll go first, I already have one child, he is 6 years old Smile Totally did not plan to have anymore once me and his dad split, I was one and done. However, years on met my current other half and I just knew straight away I had a change of heart. We started trying 18 months ago with negatives every month, later finding out there was infertility on both our sides. We moved in together January this year after deciding we would give IVF a try once we were settled in new GPs etc, only to find out we were pregnant! This came to an abrupt end 3 days later where we had what’s known as a chemical pregnancy. Absolutely heartbroken I had half given up, what were the chances we would fall pregnant again so soon after so long of nothing?

Well, here we are, after only 1 cycle later, pregnant again! Hopefully this time is different for us, it definetly feels different! Grin

Hi I’m due in 3-5 days and took a test this morning (not first morning wee) and can’t make out if this is faint positive or indent line? It came up within 3 minutes? Any input or opinions would be very helpful thanks I’ve tried taking in different lightings

Hi all. Unfortunately a CB digital with FMU was negative this morning and I'm cramping a lot today (no bleeding yet though). So I think I'm out this month 😔

Sorry to hear this. Hope you’re doing okay xx

Hi ladies, I hope it is okay if I join?
I am 5weeks today, I found out a week ago. I’m very anxious going into this pregnancy as I had a missed miscarriage in December (so sorry to any other ladies who have experienced loss. It definitely is a struggle being pregnant again afterwards!) The miscarriage felt so cruel as all my tests, symptoms everything were progressing just the baby wasn’t. Anyway, trying to put that behind me and tell myself hopefully this time it will be different. I’ve booked a scan for 7 and half weeks which feels like a lifetime away 😂. Fingers crossed for a smooth journey for us all ☺️ definitely open to joining a WhatsApp group if people want to, I can see one is already full but happy to set another up if it’s wanted !

Sorry to hear about your loss, hope this one sticks 🤞🏼I also found out about a week ago and think I am around 5 weeks! I’m not really having any symptoms though apart from tiredness. I don’t particularly want nausea but I feel it would give me some reassurance 😅 would be interested in a whats app group also. Had one for my daughter and it was really helpful!

I think I might see a shadow! Maybe try a pink dye test. Hope it’s positive 🤞🏼

CheeryPombear · 16/04/2025 17:20

@DownWithCremeEggs sending all my love. Life can be cruel sometimes.

@Babybrain0110 try again in a few days with a pink dye test, they're easier to see I think.

@KT199 congratulations. I'm also pregnant after a loss. Mines also IVF so have their support and have an early scan booked for 8th May but I've just cried to my nurse when she said this was exciting as I don't feel excited at all. I feel terrified.

KT199 · 16/04/2025 18:46

If anyone who’s interested in the WhatsApp direct messages me their number, I’ll get one started ☺️

@CheeryPombear im sorry for what you’ve been through. Your feelings are valid and not being excited after experiencing trauma in a similar situation is normal. Fingers crossed this time around things will be different but pregnancy after loss will never be the same!! Sending lots of love and here if you ever need a chat xx

What a lovely idea! I will DM you

We found out I’m pregnant last Thursday and I’ve retested every day since, my lines on the super cheap tests form Amazon never got darker and were always quite faint; I did get a positive on a digital though and I’ve just got some cheap strip ones from boots which is a more solid line so I’m hopeful. I can’t wait to have symptoms so I can be more certain of what’s going on 😂

ChloeG84 · 16/04/2025 19:00

@KT199i may be being totally thick, but I can't work out how to DM!

No I was the same 😂 I googled and you can’t do it on the app apparently so I just logged in on the website and you can’t do do it there

ChloeG84 · 16/04/2025 19:04

@Mulner88Thank you!

KT199 · 17/04/2025 06:54

Right ladies I think the WhatsApp group is up and running but there is only a few of us, so if anyone else does want to join please feel free to DM your number and I’ll add you to it!! 💖

Hope everyone is feeling okay today, I’m toying with the idea of doing a CB digital as should get 3+ but also don’t want to ruin my bank holiday worrying if I don’t! 😂

Hey ladies, so I've taken another digital this morning and it's negative. After my positive 1-2 weeks on Monday. The non digital tests are still showing a faint second line and when I called the midwife yesterday she said the CB digital are notorious for not being sensitive enough and it could just mean my hcg is just too low. According to LMP I am 3 weeks 5 days. Going out of my mind with worry after a loss before. Sore boobs, headaches. Surely that's a good sign? Is it worth buying the CB ultra early as this one is supposed to pick up lower levels of HCG? Help 😩

Have the non digital cheap ones changed at all since Monday?
Last week I’d done a CB weeks and jt said 1-2, then the next day (but tbf it was later in the day) said not pregnant, then end of the week still said 1-2 weeks. That was a chemical, but I could see the lines on the cheapies were getting lighter too. I would think really if you had a positive Monday hcg would have risen by now but some people does rise slower 🤞🏻

laurajane07 · 17/04/2025 08:21

@Muddysocks1i was using the clearblue non digital. Tbh they look pretty much the same as the ones I took Monday. Couldn't really say whether any lighter or darker. I've got a feeling it's going to be a chemical x

Hi
I have just found out im pregnant with #3. Had a miscarriage in April 2023 and its taken me this long to decide to try again. First month trying and I surprised myself that its positive. Not due on until tomorrow but have been getting faint lines since Thursday on cheapies. Given myself a break from testing today as I become obsessed watching for line progression. If this little one sticks it will be a Christmas day due date. Anyone else got a Christmas due date if all goes well?

spttc · 19/04/2025 12:16

@UNICORN1589 I'm due 21/12 but I'm hoping to push it forward a good bit as I'm having a planned csection due to an emergency one after 30hours of labour on my first 😬 how are you feeling being pregnant post miscarriage. I had one in August and tbh I am so afraid now. I don't feel any happiness about this pregnancy as I just don't believe there's going to be a baby 🙈 I can't seem to recover

Durhamgirlie · 19/04/2025 12:20

Im due 23rd with my first! I’ve not been for a scan yet and I’ve also not had any symptoms so I’m struggling to believe anything is happening in there 🤣

Who knew waiting for the scan would be as bad as the tww ha

UNICORN1589 · 19/04/2025 12:23

Same, I cant feel excited or feel anything really. And I probably wont until I have a baby in my arms. My pregnancy in 2016 was stressful, we were told at 12 week scan that baby could be downs, have patau's or edwards syndrome that is not compatible with life. I had to have many extra scans and tests and all turned out fine. She is a healthy 8 year old now. Then next time in 2023 pregnancy ended at 6 weeks. So now im so grateful for what iv got but also I probably wont relax at all if this pregnancy stays.

spttc · 19/04/2025 12:36

@UNICORN1589 yeh my first pregnancy was 2021, born 2022. Perfect, easy. No issues. And I was soooo naive that anything could happen looking back 🤣 even going to scans I wasn't remotely nervous. Thank god it was all fine. My 2nd pregnancy was August 2024 and like yourself I lost that at 6.5 weeks. And I've never recovered. I don't see pregnancy the same way at all. Just so nervous and really until the baby is born I'll be afraid I think. Even then I think I'll be afraid of SIDS etc. Just not ok 🙈

Minky719 · 20/04/2025 06:54

Hi everyone, I’m lying here in bed next to my snoring husband resisting the urge to wake him up and tell him I’ve just found out I’m pregnant! I can’t believe it - according to an online calculator my due date is 28th December. Feeling a bit guilty as I had a couple of glasses of wine yesterday (I thought my period was on the way as had all the usual symptoms). But when I woke up this morning and it still hadn’t come I thought I better do a test. No more wine for me! Brain is going into overdrive, I have literally just googled ‘I’m pregnant, now what’. Any advice? I am seeing folic acid mentioned a lot so will need to pop to Boots tomorrow as everything in our town is closed today.

icecreamcrackers · 20/04/2025 10:39

Hi can I join you guys I’m due 28th December. Already have 3 kids youngest being 13!

spttc · 20/04/2025 12:59

Got my 3+ right on time! It's a milestone because my first clue I was having a miscarriage on my last pregnancy is that it never went to 3+ 😕 I know it's meaningless and it can still go wrong but.... another step 🤞
