Hi!

Just thought i’d start a thread as I know a few of us have found out we are expecting! Would love to hear everyone’s stories to start us off as I know December feels soooo far away yet!

I’ll go first, I already have one child, he is 6 years old Smile Totally did not plan to have anymore once me and his dad split, I was one and done. However, years on met my current other half and I just knew straight away I had a change of heart. We started trying 18 months ago with negatives every month, later finding out there was infertility on both our sides. We moved in together January this year after deciding we would give IVF a try once we were settled in new GPs etc, only to find out we were pregnant! This came to an abrupt end 3 days later where we had what’s known as a chemical pregnancy. Absolutely heartbroken I had half given up, what were the chances we would fall pregnant again so soon after so long of nothing?

Well, here we are, after only 1 cycle later, pregnant again! Hopefully this time is different for us, it definetly feels different! Grin

@DownWithCremeEggs

I'm sorry I can't see a line but hold on a few more days and if your period doesn't arrive test again. It is horrible going through this uncertainty and potential loss. Sending lots of love

@ChloeG84 I had early scans with my first and it does give you a sense of ease, for a little while anyway, until the wait for the next scan. Seeing a little flickering heartbeat is the best feeling. I would recommend an early scan if you can. Just hold out a little as it can still be hard to see at 6 weeks.

Thankyou. My scan is booked for 8 weeks, so I’m hoping we will be able to see a heartbeat 💗

I’m due December 19th with my first baby 🥹 found out on 06/04… tested early as I was due to have a procedure done the next day and I couldn’t believe it was positive! I have a 6 week scan booked in as well as I’m so nervous!

When's best to book a private scan?

BrockwellTara · 15/04/2025 17:39

Is anyone else irrationally angry at times?? Find myself having such a short fuse the past few days. Not sure if it is just because I'm so tired but I swear everyone around me has gotten 500% more annoying!! Only 7 weeks so would hormones even be that strong they'd be making me feel like this?

LeeLee02 · 15/04/2025 17:56

@ChloeG84 i hope it all goes ok!! ❤️

ChloeG84 · 15/04/2025 17:59

@LeeLee02 Thankyou x

DownWithCremeEggs · 15/04/2025 19:00

Took this when I got in from work today. I mean, it's obviously positive but I'm worried it's too faint for my period being due today 😔

@DownWithCremeEggsyour HGC levels need to rise babe to get a strong line, test again in a few days - I know the wait is hard! X

ChloeG84 · 15/04/2025 19:05

@DownWithCremeEggsalso test first thing in the morning when your pee isn’t diluted x

KT199 · 16/04/2025 06:59

Hi ladies, I hope it is okay if I join?
I am 5weeks today, I found out a week ago. I’m very anxious going into this pregnancy as I had a missed miscarriage in December (so sorry to any other ladies who have experienced loss. It definitely is a struggle being pregnant again afterwards!) The miscarriage felt so cruel as all my tests, symptoms everything were progressing just the baby wasn’t. Anyway, trying to put that behind me and tell myself hopefully this time it will be different. I’ve booked a scan for 7 and half weeks which feels like a lifetime away 😂. Fingers crossed for a smooth journey for us all ☺️ definitely open to joining a WhatsApp group if people want to, I can see one is already full but happy to set another up if it’s wanted !

ChloeG84 · 16/04/2025 07:24

@KT199hi! I’m 5 weeks on Sunday, my first pregnancy at 40! The Anxieties are crazy, this morning I’ve woke up and feel fine, no cramps, nausea or sore boobs so I’m convinced now that something is wrong! I have a scan at 8 weeks booked x
Im Happy to join a WhatsApp group, this has been a massive help so far looking at others experience x

ChloeG84 · 16/04/2025 07:25

@DownWithCremeEggshow you doing this morning? X

DownWithCremeEggs · 16/04/2025 07:30

Hi all. Unfortunately a CB digital with FMU was negative this morning and I'm cramping a lot today (no bleeding yet though). So I think I'm out this month 😔

laurajane07 · 16/04/2025 07:32

@KT199congratulations!! Honestly I feel exactly the same and also experienced a miscarrige October last year. I'm 4 weeks today and feel myself worrying about every single twinge and scared every time I wipe. Just gotta get through each day and pray that this time it'll all work out 🤞. Definitely booking a early scan!! Take care xx

KT199 · 16/04/2025 08:50

aw thank you both !!

@ChloeG84 don’t worry too much about symptoms if you can, they really don’t mean anything. They can come and go and some people don’t have any. This time around I have next to nothing so far!!

@laurajane07 I’m so sorry for your loss and that you went through that. I’ve got my early scan booked now and planning to refer to the midwife services at 6 weeks. I’ve found a bit of relief from telling myself I’ve been through the worst already and that everything that is happening inside right now is completely out of my control.. I can’t change it either way. Just got to let it play out.

ChloeG84 · 16/04/2025 08:52

@DownWithCremeEggs fingers firmly crossed for you x

ChloeG84 · 16/04/2025 08:53

@KT199 Thank you! Trying so hard not to over think things! x

laurajane07 · 16/04/2025 08:56

@KT199aw thank you. It was a pretty awful time and was worried we wouldn't ever get to here again. Yeah that's what I'm telling myself. And learning to just take it day by day and to not be so concerned on what's to come etc.

DownWithCremeEggs · 16/04/2025 09:16

@ChloeG84 I had a positive test three days ago but it's now negative so I'm pretty sure I'm having a chemical/miscarriage.

ChloeG84 · 16/04/2025 09:22

@DownWithCremeEggs sending hugs x
