Hello! Apologies if there is a July thread already (I couldn’t find one). Is there anyone else due in July who would like to chat during the journey?

Hi @MrsBP15 😂your message made me laugh!! It's good you're trying to eat healthy snacks, I ate a tub of sweets the other day because the sour tangy taste was too good!! Do you think you're coming down with something again with the sore throat? My little ones have had runny noses for the past week so I'm hoping I dont catch it from them. I'm doing well thank you, how are you doing?

RG84 · 02/03/2025 15:11

Hi all hope you are all doing well. Sorry those who have been poorly with sore throats, hope you feel better soon.

Has anyone made any purchases yet for baby?

MrsBP15 · 02/03/2025 15:34

@3rdbabytime i mean I’d love to say I’m being good all the time but you mentioning sweets has sent me over the edge now I need them!! I’ve had to settle for a smoothie instead….booooooooring! I’m good though definitely getting a bit of a bump. Not sure about movements yet though. I still find all that v confusing. How about you? Have you felt them yet?

@RG84 we have bought our pram which I know is mental but it was on offer and it was the one we wanted so I think we saved about £300. Not going to buy anything else until after 20 week scan in about ten days. How about you?

RG84 · 02/03/2025 15:43

@MrsBP15 ah that's great as those are one of the most expensive items. I remember buying a care seat 48 hours before I was due for my c-section! I haven't brought anything yet but goodness it is so tempting as there are a few sales out there. I definitely want to try and look for prams as we need a new one. We are also going to start shopping after 20 week scan so we know the gender. But I'm always browsing online though :0

When is your scan date?

3rdbabytime · 02/03/2025 21:16

@MrsBP15 smoothie sounds delicious! I've been loving mango a lot but I love mango even when not pregnant lol I've used a lot of willpower to not buy any sweets this week! It's the fizzy tangy ones that I have a real craving for. Yea I've definitely got a bump now, it's come a lot quicker than my other pregnancies. I've felt movements but they are very sporadic. Also feeling movements can depend on where the placenta, I think mine is posterior so that's why I'm feeling them. It's still very early so don't worry about it :)

Hi @RG84 DH and I were discussing about how we are going to place the 3rd car seat or whether we need a new car. Hopefully apart from that we won't need to buy much more. When is your scan? Mine was on 12th March but now moved to 10th March so not too long to go now!!

RG84 · 02/03/2025 21:28

@3rdbabytime same situation I also don't think we can squeeze another car seat in unless we get a booster seat for 5 year old if that's allowed. Otherwise also need to upgrade a car. Here's hoping it doesn't come to that! Hope you manage to find a solution as well.
Ah just around the corner for you then, that's exciting. Mine is on the 18th, just seems forever away :/

MrsS11 · 02/03/2025 22:14

@RG84 you might find a booster isn't much narrower than a rf seat, depending on what you're using at the moment. We had to upgrade the car for our third, sadly there aren't many cars that fit 3 carseats across the back seat 😭
I had my detailed scan on Wednesday which felt like a big milestone! Feeling regular movement now which is so reassuring too. We've booked a gender scan for a couple of weeks, which the kids are ridiculously excited for ☺️

I feel like the pram is the biggy! With this being our first we don’t have anything so it can be quite overwhelming. I feel like chipping away at it might be good for us. My scan is next week on 13th. I cannot bloody wait. I just want to see them again we will find out the gender but I’m not even that bothered about that right now. I’m just hoping everything is ok….

I love a good smoothie. I have one most days. I have absolutely no clue about where my placenta is wouldn’t even know how I would find out. At the scan presumably? I just want to get to the 20 week scan now I’m feeling very impatient

Ginger26 · 04/03/2025 12:54

Hi everyone 🙋🏼‍♀️hope you're all well today. I'm due 19th July but think it'll be the week before as I'll be having a csection... not sure when I receive a date on this. This is my second baby, my dd has just turned 7 and is so excited. Got my 20 week scan booked on Friday praying everything is okay. I don't remember having so few appointments with my first, it's so nerve racking

Justgoingforaweeliedown · 07/03/2025 10:41

Hi all. Hoping to join. Currently 19 weeks pregnant due 30 July although fully expect to go earlier like I did with my first. Currently have an almost two year old boy and expecting a little girl this time. Have been so unwell so far and still suffering with awful reflux so it feels like this is a long time coming but all of a sudden having a panic that there's only 4ish months to go. We've not bought anything or even started preparing the nursery. We've also got some pretty major building works due to start end of April. We must be mad.

MrsS11 · 07/03/2025 21:29

Welcome @Ginger26 and @Justgoingforaweeliedown ! If it makes you feel any better my kitchen currently looks like this and we're doing it ourselves so not a chance it'll be finished before baby arrives 🫠 I've got 3 bigger ones and never been in a position to decorate a baby's nursery (major renovation then shared bedrooms) and they've all coped just fine ☺️

Justgoingforaweeliedown · 08/03/2025 05:14

@MrsS11 it does a little, we're not the only ones with all the disruption. To be honest, the nursery is more for me than baby. I know she won't be in there from the start but it was helpful with my son to have his wardrobe and changing table there and organised and with lights and rocking chair for middle of the night feeds. I know it'll all come together regardless but I guess I'd just feel more organised and in control to have the nursery sorted. The kitchen renovation works aren't as worrying because that's one for the builders and DH to organise 🤣

MrsS11 · 08/03/2025 10:41

@Justgoingforaweeliedown I get you, planning a nursery looks like such a lovely thing to do! I'm more stressed by all the big kids stuff I have to sort through to make space for the baby until we have more bedrooms. Sorry you've been feeling so rotten, hopefully you'll have turned a corner now

3rdbabytime · 09/03/2025 11:49

Hi all, Hope you're having a lovely Sunday. Welcome @Ginger26 and @Justgoingforaweeliedown

@Ginger26 how did your scan go? Mine is tomorrow and I'm so excited!

@Justgoingforaweeliedown I'm due on 30th too! Though my first was 2 days late and my 2nd was 10 days late so let's see this time :)

@MrsBP15 How are the hunger pangs going? I'm still having them quite a lot and can never decide what to eat sometimes. Yea, they will tell you where the placenta is at the scan and it will be written in your scan notes too. I only knew mine when I had to have a cervical scan few weeks back.

@MrsS11 ahh all that building work will be so exciting once it's all done. How long will it all take to complete roughly?

@Wishing4Snow how are you doing? Haven't heard from you in a while so hope all is ok x

Starting to feel baby move more now. Still very sporadic but definite movements :)

Justgoingforaweeliedown · 09/03/2025 12:01

@3rdbabytime I was three weeks early last time. Worried this baby comes sooner than my first because my childcare is on holiday at the end of June! Baby was really active on the scan this week but I'm not sure I'm feeling anything yet. Sonographer said I'd likely feel something in the next couple of weeks when baby grows. Last time I felt first movements when I was sitting still and relaxed, which I don't get much time to do now with a toddler so maybe that's it 🤣

Wishing4Snow · 09/03/2025 14:58

Hello everyone. Sorry I have been quiet. I’m am doing well thank you. Been regularly feeling baby wiggling around and I have my 20 week scan tomorrow! Feels like such a big milestone. I am not sure if I am more excited to see baby again or anxious to know he is healthy.

I really hope everyone is doing well x

OP posts:
MrsBP15 · 09/03/2025 15:03

Thanks @3rdbabytime i am still hungry all the time or most of the time unless I eat a big meal! Just trying to keep it reasonably healthy which is easier said then done.

i am currently 19 weeks and haven’t felt the baby move. Should I be worried? I have my 20 week scan on Thursday and I’m just starting to feel quite anxious. My belly has definitely expended in the last few weeks and I have a completely blocked nose. Other than that and the lack of sleep, I’m not really feeling anything. Trying not to panic but it’s hard…

3rdbabytime · 09/03/2025 15:07

@MrsBP15 No please don't be worried, it's absolutely normal to not feel baby until later with first pregnancy. They say with each pregnancy you tend to feel baby earlier. I'm so sorry to have worried you.

Wishing4Snow · 09/03/2025 15:11

@MrsBP15 I agree with @3rdbabytime, it’s absolutely normal to not feel anything until a little later. It all depends on your body, the position baby is sitting and where your placenta is. I know it’s hard, but try not to worry or compare to others. A couple of weeks ago I was getting anxious about it too, so I completely understand.

OP posts:
Justgoingforaweeliedown · 09/03/2025 19:28

@MrsBP15 I'm 19 weeks and not felt anything yet. Sonographer said normal range for feeling movement is up to 24 weeks so you're still at the lower end of normal. I'm on my second and not felt anything yet but been told to expect it as baby grows bigger in the next few weeks.

MrsBP15 · 10/03/2025 11:08

Thank you so much @3rdbabytime @Wishing4Snow @Justgoingforaweeliedown that is really reassuring and has made me feel much better ☺️ when I got pregnant I had no idea there was so long to wait between scans and going from this to ivf (when you are monitored so closely) is crazy! Just hoping I don’t have too many sleepless nights between now and Thursday because I’m knackered!

Hope everyone had a good weekend and those who have scans get on ok xx

MrsBP15 · 10/03/2025 11:09

That should have said from ivf to this…

Wishing4Snow · 10/03/2025 19:47

@MrsBP15 it feels like ages between scans, doesn’t it! I’m sure your IVF baby is all snug and happy and it won’t be long until you feel him/her wiggling around.

I had my 20 week scan today. I was so anxious beforehand but it went so well. Baby is looking really healthy and it was wonderful to see him again. I haven’t stopped looking at the pictures I brought home all evening. 🥰

I hope everyone else is doing well x

Hi everyone, also had my scan today. Found out we are having a baby girl! Really happy to see baby is doing ok and all seemed well. Can't wait to hear of more scans in the group!! X
