Hello! Apologies if there is a July thread already (I couldn’t find one). Is there anyone else due in July who would like to chat during the journey?

@3rdbabytime my appointment was stressful… I had a little protein in my urine and had to do a retest which came back today - all normal, but I spent all night fretting. I have a heart condition which means I have slightly high blood pressure too and scared myself reading about preeclampsia all evening. Midwife is not worried and I have blood pressure tablets.

On the plus side, I also got to hear my little baby’s heartbeat which was so lovely.

I hope everyone is okay x

Can I join you? I’m due in August but I’m having twins so they will most likely be born in July. I’m 14+3, I have a scan booked in for 16 weeks to find out the sexes and then we will be announcing to family. It’s took a while for me to wrap my head around having twins, we already have twin boys so had an early scan as we had a higher likelihood of having twins again, I wasn’t expecting it though. Our boys will be 21 months when the twins are born, so we will have 4 under 2🤯

Welcome @Tepidbath , wow two lots of twins! How exciting for you! I hope you’re getting plenty of rest and are feeling well x

@Wishing4Snow really glad to hear that the tests came back normal! It's hard to stay away from researching but now with your results normal and with the midwife not being worried, I hope you feel encouraged and better. It's hard not to worry but take it easy x

Thank you so much for replying to me. I do feel a lot of relief but I know I’m going to be terrified for the next urine test. I’m really trying to relax and try to enjoy this pregnancy but sometimes I can’t help worry.

Yea the worry is hard sometimes. I was so anxious before my 12 week scan though I had no reason to be, which I didn't have in my last 2 pregnancies. How long will you have to wait until the next urine test? I'm glad I have a scan on Tuesday and though it's to check cervical length, I'm just happy it's another chance to see baby lol

Hi @pastelpink0 lovely to have another july due here :)

Wishing4Snow · 14/02/2025 11:40

@pastelpink0, welcome to the July group. So lovely to have someone else join. 😊

@3rdbabytime I get nervous before scans too! I was quite anxious before my private gender scan last weekend but baby looked healthy and it was reassuring to see him. I hope your scan goes well.
As for another urine test, my midwife hasn’t mentioned when the next one will be. 🤔

Thank you for the welcomes everyone :). I’m so exhausted today, it’s just been a pj day for us and I’m trying not to feel guilty about it!.

@3rdbabytime thank you!. I’m feeling very tired, but other than that I’m coping well. DH has been brilliant support and the rest of my family will when we announce the pregnancy, they’re brilliant with the boys. I’m sure 4 under 2 will be fun, I’m just prepared not to sleep again for about 10 years😂.

@Wishing4Snow I’m glad your tests came back normal and you got to hear your baby’s heartbeat❤️, I hope it helps put your mind at rest a little.

@pastelpink0 welcome! How are you feeling?

@MrsBP15 How are you feeling now? That's so lovely you got to hear baby's heartbeat, it's such a precious part of this journey. Sorry to hear about your blood pressure, did the midwife call back? My sleep is naturally disturbed as I cosleep with my little ones so I can't help but wake up to check on them every few hours even though they're right next to me.

@Tepidbath omg huge congratulations! How are you feeling? Having 4 under 2 will be hard but I'm sure it will be really exciting too. I hope you have support x

@Wishing4Snow how did your midwife appointment go? :)

Thank you I’m feeling miles better. It’s like I never had a cold passed it onto my husband though which he is not best pleased about! The midwife never called me back so I called them and I’m glad that I did! They basically said because it’s before 20 weeks it could be pre existing high blood pressure and so they would only refer me back to the gp so best to book appointment with gp. Have managed to get one for Monday afternoon. It’s just strange because it’s never been flagged before and when I went for my scan they took my blood pressure and said it was fine. I made a point of asking because it was slightly high when midwife took it. Of course there doesn’t seem to be any record of this so that’s not super helpful! I’m a little nervous but hoping I can get to the bottom of it on Monday…

MrsBP15 · 14/02/2025 15:31

Welcome @Tepidbath and huge congratulations 🥳 when are you planning to announce to your family? I bet they’ll be excited. With ours being ivf we told our family pretty early.

MrsBP15 · 14/02/2025 15:32

Welcome @pastelpink0 this is my first baby too 😊 hope you’re doing well x

Sorry to hear your appointment was stressful any overnight waiting is not fun! Can you take your blood pressure meds during pregnancy? I might have high blood pressure (they are still deciding) and I have no idea what they will do if I do. Hope you’re feeling better now, glad test was negative for you.

Hey @MrsBP15. I can take my blood pressure meds safely during pregnancy and they seem to be working as BP seems fine (I bought a monitor so I check when I like). Try not to worry if you have high BP - the meds are very effective and start working quickly.

I hope everyone is having a relaxing Saturday x

MrsBP15 · 17/02/2025 12:13

Thank you @Wishing4Snow thats really good to know and very reassuring. I’ve looked back at my BP from July last year and it was definitely lower so if it is higher I think it’s a pregnancy thing. I am still taking progesterone so I don’t know whether this might be having an effect. I’m going to the surgery this afternoon for them to take it again and I’ve ordered my own monitor just in case. I plan on getting there really early so I can just sit for a bit before they take it.

Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying a bit of sunshine!

3rdbabytime · 17/02/2025 16:53

How did your appointment go today @MrsBP15? Hope you managed to get some answers about your blood pressure x

Duckwars · 18/02/2025 02:18

Hi everyone!

Due 9th July (3rd baby) and have got 20 week scan on Thursday. Between my dh snoring and the baby responding to it, I can't sleep 😂 Hope everyone is doing OK x

3rdbabytime · 18/02/2025 11:01

Hi @Duckwars congratulations!!

MrsBP15 · 18/02/2025 18:28

Thank you for asking @3rdbabytime all was well. BP had gone down, she did it three times and the last one was 110 over 85. I think I was just a little stressed last time and had just hiked up and down the stairs. I’ve bought a monitor anyway and will just keep an eye in between appointments. Hope all well with you!

MrsBP15 · 18/02/2025 18:29

Congrats @Duckwars and welcome! How exciting to be having your third, when are you due? This is my first so I have no idea what’s going on most of the time 🤣

Duckwars · 19/02/2025 01:43

Thank you @3rdbabytime & @MrsBP15

Although it's my third, my other two are almost 9 and 10 years old so feels all new. My first was a week early, second was a week late so who knows when this one will make an arrival.

Whoosher · 19/02/2025 19:43

Hey can I jump on this thread :)

Due July 20th with our 5th baby, still haven’t told anyone other than DH and one friend so it will be nice to have you guys to chat to!

MrsS11 · 19/02/2025 20:41

Hello can I join too? I'm due on the 20th July so we are due date buddies @Whoosher! This is also my 5th baby but we lost our little girl at 19 weeks last summer, so this has been a very stressful pregnancy so far! The hospital have been great though and we've had lots of extra scans to calm the nerves. I've started to feel a wee bit of movement too which is definitely helping. @Tepidbath I can't believe you'll have two sets of twins, that's crazy! But you'll be an old hand, it's be a much smaller shock to the system than 0-2. Hope everyone's nastiest symptoms are beginning to subside! Joint pain and insomnia is kicking my butt, but it's so much better than the nausea

No way! How nice to have a due date buddy 🥰 all of my babies so far have come around 37/38 weeks so I’m expecting it will probably be the same again this time
oh bless you, I can imagine that would make things more stressful this time but I hope you’re still managing to enjoy the process where possible

I’m also very anxious this pregnancy, that’s part of the reason I haven’t told anyone yet.. plus the situation with DH isn’t great at the moment, we’re not currently together so I’m worried about how people will react to the news!

Hope everyone’s feeling okay today x
